Greetings gentlemen. Now, as you may of heard, a new gamemode's been added to TTC, Sidestories. Now, save for the base announcement, there hasn't really been all that much details about exactly what can be done with this or what it even is. And that changes today.

Introducing, Take The Crown: Sidestories! *fanfare*

To start, by paying 3 Crown Coins you can host your very own event! From this, your in charge of just about everything, from what enemies you fight to your restrictions. The idea is that by making a challenging mission for yourself and your allies, you can earn greater rewards that you yourself has chosen. And yes you read that right, others can hop into your events as well in the form of Helpers. In general, events has 8 Member Slots where people can send their own characters from TTC to here to help out, though you can have more or less slots if desired(even infinite). The event maker can also choose to have their own characters in as well to fill a slot. Note that if you need slots filled and not enough people are opting to join, both the host and helpers can send more than one character to assist.



Now with great rewards come great risks. For example, a lives system is in place. Though it can be increased, the default amount of lives each character has is one. Now, this doesn't mean that if your knocked out your down for the count for if your koed and out of lives, your HP goes to negative. Healing moves can be used to bring you back into the fray. Having additional lives means that you can opt to use one to fully revive yourself.



Speaking of rewards, how the Rewards System works is that there are two main tiers, hosts and users. The host can get a higher set of rewards while the helpers gets a smaller but still useful set of rewards. Something special to note is that for the helpers, there is an MVP award that can be awarded by the host if desired. MVPs get a bonus reward in addition to the standard. There can only be one MVP award given.

Now, we have a few extra ground rules and then we can get into the fun part:

1. This is synced to TTC, meaning all rules still apply and your characters are shared between this and the main game.

2. Once you send a character to help in an event, they can't be used for the raid boss or other events until either the event is finished or you choose to opt out, which can be done at any time. Be advised that if you choose to leave, you won't gain the rewards from it. If you are the host, see Rule 5.

3. XP Gain from standard combat is negated in half. Furthermore, Zenny cannot be gained through standard combat. Unless a certain item or all items are banned from an event, these are good to be used.

4. In general, Crown Coins/Little Papa Reggae items have no effect in Sidestories UNLESS the sidestory maker decide otherwise.
4a. Extra Lives work a little differently. Though they still have the same effect, a max of 3 can be brought in. However, if desired a Sidestory maker can ban or up the value if desired.

5. If you are unable to continue a event/wish not to continue, you can opt to ask someone in the event to become the host(the one that does the calculations, leads the story forwards, etc) or just end it early. Note that doing this means that you will still be in the event unless you wish to opt out of it completely. This also means that the new host gains the host rewards.

6. It should go without saying but cheating the system (9M XP Reward) is not a good idea.

Now that we have this out of the way, at the bottom is the Template for Sidestories. Simply make a copy of your own and get to work. Something to consider is that if you think your mission is of a certain difficulty, feel free to place it both in the event and by it when posting the link. Once it's finished, feel free to send it to Beta to make sure everything is up to speed. If you want to keep certain events/units hidden, make a seconds sheet and post that one public instead while privately still going off of the personal sheet. Now remember, above all else...have fun!

Prism Guard and Hell's Call successful.
At the end of the hall lies a blue door. Strangely, there dosen't seem to be any buttons or handles. In between the call of the siren a laser blast can be heard before the door turns grey and opens, revealing an alien creature that, upon seeing Disarge and co yells in a foreign tounge. Even then it dosen't take a lingquinst to detect the panic and anger in their voice.

...Here they come.
x3 Space Pirate Sailors were caught off guard!*

*Off Guard: All units with Off Guard are unable to take their first turn.
Hellion's and Ralsei's reunion is caught off guard as a loud buzzing sound comes from above.

x2 War Wasp Swarm come through the vents!

Getting into positions, the soldiers get ready to engage Disarge when the Homing Sniper goes off!

110 Damage dealt to Space Pirate Sailor A!

A few more shouts echo out before the pirates return with reckless fire!
12 shots hit Disarge for 72 Damage from Space Pirate C! Space Pirate A responds in kind, dealing 72 more damage to Disarge!

Check the sheet for stats on your foes if desired.


A massive spark comes from above, lighting the next room up, revealing some pirates carrying some large object. It's impossible to reach them until you defeat the enemies in your way.

Hellion Lady launches an Abyssal Twister+ at the first swarm, and Whatever Anti-Omni Remnant got summoned (if the summon happened at all) goes for Hell's Spark, I guess.

I was gonna wait for IDK to post but honestly? heck it go on then i can assume what he was planning

♫ Boss 3 (The destroyer/Brain of Cthulhu) ♫

Before anything happens, another flaming sentry strikes!

The destroyer takes 167! defense is dropped by 2 stages!

Best man uses the {setweaponname == Coolpowerfulattack2} twice due to the effects of coffee!
The destroyer takes 2,786 damage! aswell as 1393 damage on the second attack!
all probes are destroyed!

The destroyer, now smoking from the attacks, fires another barrage of destroyer laser
LOOT takes 254 damage!

Glass pulls out the damaged bow and fires two shots! the decisive arrow flies through the air, nailing the destroyer in the last glowing section of its body, letting out a dying roar, the mechanical body of the destroyer combusts in mid air, dropping several fancy metal bars, coins, and souls that float in the air. Limstella suddenly appears, grabbing the unlaunched probe with the arrow buried within, and without saying a word, vanishes as another roar fills the air! two giant eyeballs, connected by...something, appear from the nearby wreckage!

Mechanical Mayhem

Anemone, suddenly turning her attention away from the two giant mechanical eyeballs most likely plotting to murder her, is staring at a bunch of floating, blue orbs coming out of the Destroyer's corpse.

Those lights are just amazingly beautiful... Though, I can't shake this feeling of sheer power they give off.

Suddenly, to her absolute panic, these Souls of Might fly straight into Anemone, causing some of her unused potential to activate!

Anemone now has stats as though she was around Level 32!

EN: 20 > 71 | WE: 21 > 63
ATK: 35 > 76 | DEF: 24 > 59 | SPD: 30 > 71

Anemone learned White Wind!
Anemone learned Divine Shinedown!
Anemone learned Cyclonic Ravager!
Nexus Ray was upgraded to Nexus Ray+!

Anemone, not quite calmed down, pulls out a blue, almost alien-looking scepter flowing with green energy. Anemone then points the staff at Spazmatism, and fires a Chromatic Mortar!

Move Details:

White Wind | Recovery/Wind Type
Up to 75% Recovery | (User's remaining % of health) ÷ 10) WE
Effect: Recovers health for the user and all allies by a value of (75% x (User's max Health ÷ User's current Health)). Instead of the usual STAB bonuses, this move has a 25% chance (10% if secondary STAB) to remove a random ailment a target is currently suffering from.

Cyclonic Ravager | Wind/Damage Type
80 Power | 100% Accuracy | 11 WE
Effect: Destroys the target's Shields unless the target resists this attack.

Nexus Ray+
Power: 150 > 185 | WE Cost: 20 > 25
Effect: Has a 30% crit rate. This can be used even if the user lacks the required WE, but if the user doesn't have the required WE then they have to waste the next turn recharging. This move can't have its WE cost reduced by any means, not even STAB.

Another Omniverse...? Is that really possible?

It happened once before... Back in 2014.

2014...?


Back in 2012, Beta Shadow was a part of the Nickelodeon Message Boards. But at some point, Nickelodeon decided to shut down the forums... Which would've lead to the destruction of every character within the universes of those forums.



It was then that Beta Shadow discovered his ability to transfer himself to another Omniverse... But he could only transfer himself.

However, after the incident with Rho, I managed to find a way to recreate this ability at a greater capacity... Which will allow ALL of us to travel to a new Omniverse.

So, what, we're just going to abandon ship without even trying first!?

...You don't get it. The System's bots are capable of altering ANYTHING to their liking. We CAN'T beat them. This is the ONLY way for us to be safe.

I won't discuss this any further. Pi, return them to stasis and prepare for mass transfer.

COMPLYING.

Reggae and Theta tries to get Pi to stop, but are immediately placed under stasis.

Now, to look for a new Omniverse to send us to...

Hey, look! Someone finally decided to come! We were beginning to think you guys were too chicken to ever show up!
Seems like this little baby man came all by himself! He must've cried to himself all night before coming here, knowing how much he's going to lose!
Now, Heavy... Let's not forget that we're down to 3 members ourselves, what with the others out on patrol. Whether or not he'll lose will require further testing... PAINFUL testing.
(Everyone must be in separate spots on the map... Hopefully they'll figure out what to do on their own.)

Suddenly, two other people appear.

...Hold on... Ain't this one of them "raiders" we were supposed to help train?
...Aye, you're right! So, ye came on your own, haven't you? Big mistake, lassie! Though, I admire your dedication to the training!
If only they were dedicated to it 4 months ago...

Also, while it may be 3v1, most of my kit’s designed around taking down swarms of enemies, so I’d be careful who you underestimate!

Description: The user summons three dragonfly drones that guard the user whilst firing at enemies.
Effect: Spawns 3 dragonfly drones. At the end of the user's turn, each dragonfly will fire a 12-Power shot at the most recent enemy the user has targeted. Each time the user is hit while this is up, a dragonfly will be destroyed and the damage the user takes from the attack will be reduced by 30%.

Duke: *lip smack* Ah...
*Musical sting*
Duke: Hydration.
Then the full damn song kicks in, as Duke unveils his Freezethower, but turns a knob on it causing it to start glowing red...
Duke: Let's burn this joint!
Duke then unveils that his Freezethrower has been upgraded to become a Caterkiller Flamethrower* (3 WE, 30 damage, 75% accuracy, hits thrice, causes Ablaze) at the turn of a knob! Oh, and uh... he aims it at the Wormdingler or... whatever it was.
*Why, "Caterkiller", you ask? Well, I got the inspiration from a Duke Nukem 3D mod, which expands and upgrades Duke's Arsenal 20-fold. But where did the name "Caterkiller" come from I also hear you ask. Concept stuff from Duke 3D... meaning there could be something else in store for the Freezethrower sometime soon...

Beta Maximus raises an arm into the air, and unleashes a Golden Storm upon the field!
Scout takes 426 damage from two blasts!
Medic takes 336 damage from three blasts!
Heavy takes 246 damage from three blasts!

As Scout is blasted off the bridge from the attack, Heavy and Medic look to each other.


Ack, this is bad... He's making hackepeter* out of us!
Doctor... it's time.
And so early, too... Ah, very well, then. Let us begin the procedure.

Medic prepares the ÜberCharge while Heavy eats a Dalokohs Bar to recover health.

Sarah Oasis scorches Soldier with a Desert Blaze!
Soldier takes 340 damage!


Magic, eh? I knew it! You must've been sent by Marasmus to destroy us! Well, you're not getting away with it, maggots!
...Uh, hate to burst your bubble, Soldier, but uhm... You are currently engulfed in flames.

Soldier looks at his arm, spotting the fire.

...I see. Well, that is unfortunate.

Soldier proceeds to pass out cold as Tedd watches the mercs closely.

...Well, then.

As Spy activates his Invis Watch, Engineer builds a sentry that proceeds to fire a Sentry Rocket at Sarah!
Sarah takes 10 damage!
Ensemble activates White Album!


Playing defensive? Well, let's just see how well it does ya, lass!

Demoman fires the Stickybomb Launcher, causing a Stickybomb to stick on the ground in front of Ensemble, who is immediately met by Pyro's Flame Thrower!
Ensemble takes a total of 8 damage (4 hits) and gets burned!

While all this happens, Sniper takes a steady aim for Ensemble's head...

*A German type of minced meat.
