In an alternate time line where Trios plans succeeded... at a cost. Through a commission from Crankey Kong, Funky Kong has managed to reset absolutely everything... into a new state. The world now split in two... the real world, and The Net. Causing most non-human and some human characters to turn... into net navis. With no memories of their previous lives. The same is said for the humans as well... though that dosen't mean that the same rules from the main world aren't applied here though. But as a extra cost... you can't have the same pseudo reapers from the previous one. You have to decide who should be the net navi equivalent of a pseudo reaper. Though the reapers are still the same, you just have to put them in navi form though... anyways, this is a reset timeline where Trio successfully took over earth... but ended it when it just began.
But in case you need a remind of the rules of Chaos Zone, here's a reminder copy-pasted straight from it:
1. If you're going to do stats and damage, feel free to have them be as big as possible. Just don't make them extremely long.
2. Do not use other people's characters. Feel free to make as many characters as you would like, though.
3. If you want to destroy the world, that's fine. Want to destroy the galaxy? Great. The universe? Can always be pieced back together. But do NOT. Under ANY circumstances. Destroy ANY universe that is not involved with this thread. You are also equally banned from destroying the entire Omniverse, or any Omniverse beyond.
4. Be mindful that there are... certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. For instance, one may wish to close off their plotline and make it more privated. With moments like these, you are to RESPECT that person's insisted boundaries. This also includes transformations and levels of power.
But now, there be a fifth golden rule also copy-pasted, but from Discord:
5. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will connect to the original CZ or CZ 2 in any way, shape, or form when it comes to plot. Sure, there might be a non-canonical crossover between the two CZ's here and there maybe, but still, when outside of those crossovers, this new, fifth rule, will remain in effect 24/7.

Lyla City - SciLab Primp Division, Dr. Doppler's Office

With Diddy and Lulu following behind, Melanie enters her father's office. Sure enough, the broad-shouldered man is familiar with the voice and name called out to him:
Melanie Hi, Dad!
Dr. Doppler Oh, Melanie!
Gently placing down a clipboard, Dr. Doppler walks up to the three children.
Dr. Doppler It's not often that you visit me at work...is something the matter?
Melanie Doppler Well, actually, two of my friends had something to ask you...they said it was important.
Melanie meekly steps to the side to let Lulu and Diddy walk up to Doppler's desk.
Lulu Maxwell So, the other day something happened with DarkElf. She...uh...
DarkElf.EXE I threw myself into a self-destructive frenzy.
BarrelJet.EXE ...I mean, that's not wrong, but you could've been nicer to yourself...
Diddy Kong Anyway, BarrelJet and I stopped her from doing anything worse, and it looks like this...thingy was put in her.
Diddy places a dull purple chip on the desk. As Dr. Doppler analyzes it, his curiosity turns to concern as his brows furrow.
Dr. Doppler ...I think I have something of an idea. But it's complicated.
Dr. Doppler places the chip back on the desk, and quietly walks to his monitor.
Dr. Doppler I assume you don't know the reason for...well, my appearance.
Diddy and Lulu glance at the device on Doppler's head, with wires connecting from the forehead to the back.
Lulu Maxwell I mean, I just didn't think to bring it up.
Dr. Doppler I wish not to be specific, for the sake of all three of you, but put simply, I suffered a severe injury mere years ago.
Dr. Doppler It had a major effect on my motor functions, but even with rehab it wasn't clear how much it would improve...(or worsen...)...and I didn't want to put such weight on Melanie so early in her life.
Dr. Doppler Thankfully, I was able to communicate with my Navi, Enemice, through my PET, and we built a prototype neutral interface peripheral. Crude as it was, I saw major improvements using it after rehab.
Dr. Doppler And knowing what I could do for such hardships - especially with similar advancements in treating conditions like HBD and CWFD* that put greater limits on a person's functions - I further tweaked it into what I called the Unlimited Project†, and it became something of a business.
Lulu Maxwell Business? Sounds kinda...dumb for something that's supposed to help people.
Dr. Doppler Well, the profit is more an explanation to support it. My priority is still in what my heart says.
Dr. Doppler solemnly looks down as he walks back to the desk.
Dr. Doppler ...that said, the research needed even in the prototype phase was intensive, and I made some...unfortunate discoveries along the way. This chip being one of them.
Dr. Doppler You've heard of Dark Chips, correct?
Diddy Kong Those chips that make Navis stronger but really mean?
Diddy shudders.
Dr. Doppler It seems that some people wish to take the corruption resulting from excess Dark Chip use and turn it into a threat of its own. The result is something they call Night Chips. With how fast Dark Chips can corrupt alone, DarkElf was lucky hers was removed when it was.
Melanie Doppler What? Dad, why would they make something that's only going to make everyone worse??
Dr. Doppler ...I was unsure how much they would make themselves known at the time, but a new organization seems to have formed, under the name of MP4. In terms of motives, the only comparisons that come to mind are groups such as WWW and ROM.
Dr. Doppler If even one Night Chip is circulating...it's likely deeper plans are already underway.

†We came to something of a silent agreement in the Discord that "Limited" would be a counter-intuitive word. The wordplay's still there, though.

Oh, I don't think that's what's funny. I find it far funnier how you think you control all the noise in the world! It's completely unpredictable. You merely have partial control over something generated by uncountable sources.
(And one day, your doing will be your undoing. I just have to make sure our undoing doesn't come first.)

ACCESS RESTRICTED BY ORDER OF ADMINISTRATOR

Clusters of light form into sleek beams that fire downwards, some of them hitting the Noise plaguing the area.
Undernet 4

Jerry: Well, here we are. SheepMan sent us to look for any anomalous code or viruses, so-

Suddenly, three Juragon viruses covered in... red... staticky... stuff...? ambush PlugMan and co. as the same staticky effect slowly rises from below. PlugMan does a 180° turn.

PlugMan: WELL THEN, THAT'S THE ANOMALY! OMINOUS RED STATIC BUFFING ALREADY STRONG VIRUSES! WE BEST BE HEADED RIGHT BACK HO-

Beams of light from above hitting randomly across the area do repress the static, but also make it far too unsafe to go back to the UnderFields loading zone.

PlugMan: JERRY JACK US OUT ALL OF US THIS INSTANT
Jerry: I'M TRYING! It takes a while to set it up for three more Navis who I've barely met before, you know?!

PlugMan sighs deeply and pelts the closest staticky Juragon with a BubBlst2.
UNSAFE CORRUPTION LEVELS DETECTED. JACK OUT IMMEDIATELY.

Serenade stands still and thrusts their palm forward, causing Holy Beams to shower the battlefield from above!
Juragon(Heat): Large wyvern-like virus. Attacks with a wide fiery breath.
BubBlst2(Aqua): Medium-strength hitscan 5-shot attack that also hits one panel behind its mark.
Holy Beams(Null): Powerful rays of light that seem to have been cast from the heavens.

Peony, after being bumped into by the spear weilding navi, frantically looks around for a second before turning to see the viruses attacking!

Peony.exe : Alright, now is my chance!

Peony's tommy gun buster (need to think of a better name for this-) transforms back into a hand, and she throws a minibomb at one of the Movers!

Omega and BeastMan quickly storm through the Net side by side, obliterating all Viruses in the distance.

Tell me everything you know of this "rank 6".
JammingMan. It's an savage electrical Navigator which uses it's electricity to, as you have likely guessed, "jam" the interface around itself.
Is that all?
Far from it. He has the power to interfere with the network between one's Operator and their Navi, and-- jam the newtork, per se. But only if he makes contact with you.
...To tell you the truth, I myself have avoided fighting head on because of this. But I don't doubt someone of your caliber should hold no concern.
Okay, Omega, THAT is one pretty big deal. We should--
You would be correct in your assumption. This "JammingMan"-- It won't stand a chance.

Elizabeth was walking towards the park

Elizabeth: Alright, time for another day of practice.

CircusBaby.EXE: Let's hope it goes right this time, without anyone attacking us.

Meanwhile...with Jacky Frost

ArcticFox.EXE: Why do have to wear a jacket, no one will suspect you. You've been hiding the house for who knows how long.

Jacky Frost: However, they will know me since your my NetNavi, who attack from the ACs.

ArcticFox.EXE: Oh, right. Let just keep at down low.

Jacky then put his PET in his pocket

Minamitsu crosses paths with another PunkNavi...
PunkNavi 'Ey, yer gonna wanna watch out for some dude in red n' gray with some pointy glowin' visor. Word on the Net's that he makes EraseMan look like a Sprite.
Minamitsu.EXE ...ya think I care? The lad was probably born with whatever he be wieldin'. He ain't a survivor like me.
PunkNavi Sure, ya tell yerself that. Can't wait t' watch ya die without a clue if it don't happen to me first.
Minamitsu.EXE Nah, he ain't even worth the trouble. If he be sendin' his message and I be sendin' mine, I couldn't care less.
Minamitsu walks off.
FrcGuard: (Elec, Guard) VoltMan's own Battle Chip. Summons a 3-panel-tall barrier in front of the user, protecting them from one attack and countering it with a 1x3 wave of electric energy.
(Battle Network 1 & 2) GunPunch*80: (Null) A Program Advance where the user unleashes six fist projectiles in a row.
(Network Transmission equivalent) StrArrow: (Null) A Battle Chip that summons a shining arrow that lingers for a second before flying forward, repairing any Cracked panels it flies over.
*Short for "Machine Gun Punch"; normally shortened to "Punch" in the Battle Network series, but that explains nothing so I made up a new abbreviation

Elizabeth: So, ready to try again?

CircusBaby.EXE: Ready for the show!

Elizabeth: CircusBaby, Jack-In!

CircusBaby transported into Cyberspace

CircusBaby.EXE: Let hope things get better than last time.

Meanwhile...

YamatoMan.EXE*: Hmm...these NetNavis will do anything to beat the UnderKing.

He then open up a screen, showing Omega

YamatoMan.EXE: However, I fear that this Navi will use the power of the UnderKing for evil uses. Plus, the UnderKing have a bigger problem to worry about.

He pulls out his spear

YamatoMan.EXE: I'll make sure that this unworthy Navi will not use the power of the UnderKing for the wrong reason.

*Even though he is named JapanMan in English, I'll just use his Japanese name

This isn't something you can shrug off, you know! If we're cut off, it's game over.
And THEN there's the fact you just felt the need to announce your presence. He's probably prepared for us.
If by "us" you mean his untimely end, seeing as I'll have reduce this person into a barren wave of code after being through with him.
We're almost there, I can assure you--
You do not assure me. Let that be understood.

The StrArrow doesn't hit either of the Movers, but Peony's slash does!
However, this gives enough time for the final Mover to unleash its triangle attack, which SpearMan accidentally leaps right into, leaving him Paralyzed...but creating an opening for Peony!
SndWave(1 = 70): (Null) SonicMan's own Battle Chip. Fires a sound wave straight forward. If the opponent is defeated with less HP than the Chip does damage, the wave keeps going and the damage not used is retained by the projectile until it reaches the end of the field or is fully used (e.g. if the damage is 40 and a 20 HP opponent is defeated, the wave continues with 20 damage). SonicMan is customized to be able to use this Chip on command.

Weak. This "JammingMan"... his power output makes his presence in particular child's play to locate.
Heh... it does.
...To tell you the truth, "JammingMan" is in some ways more akin to a Virus than a Navi.
?
Several of them roamed the Cyberealms, all created by the same being for the same purpose: To wreak havoc across the entire Internet... though that song and dance never ends well for anyone who tries.
...I am not "anyone". I am termination. Expiration... And I have no time for song nor dance. I am the abyss. And when those who stare into me look inside... they will soon find themselves swallowed by hellscape.
*respectful clapping*
*respectful clapping*

BeastMan's respectful clapping slowly fades as he catches sight of something further down the lane.

Speak of the devil... If the sheer magnitude of magnetism isn't forcing me to see things I'm not... I believe that's the one in question in front of us.

Straight to the point. I am here to give you a devastatingly tragic death. Give me your rank and it will be much less painful.
Or maybe you could try your luck and see if I feel "nice enough" to let you go. I've already done so three times before.

The JammingMan slides across the floor what seems to be the item Omega is looking for.

What!?
He just-- gave it up!?
...

Omega picks the item up.

...How interesting....
..HOW INTERESTING THAT YOU GIVE UP YOUR ONLY CHANCE AT A MERCIFUL DEMISE!

Omega throws it back at JammingMan, who dodges, causing it to hit the viruses behind him, creating an electrical explosion on contact.

A fake...
