Gh!
RAARRRGH!!!
Is...is Meta Knight okay??
Chunky Kong...you have truly mastered your abilities.
The training is over.
The six of you must ensure you keep what you've learned in mind. We don't know whether it will be us or Regulus who strikes first, nor do we know how to approach him, so our strength is all we can rely on.
Ah wouldn't say just our strength...
Hm?
Ya 'memba da Rainbow Drops, don't ya? Kirby used dem to wield da Rainbow Sword!
...
Oh. Right. Y'were outta town fer dat adventure. Well, he did do dat.
And dose Sol Emeralds can 'parently give folks a Burning form!
Hold on, I've researched these before...aside from Metal, the Chaos Rings have never powered someone up before.
And even if the Crystal Stars at least have indepenent forms of power-ups, they and the Time Stones have never given someone a new form period.
...well, not yet.
What do ya mean "yet"?
As long as these artifacts have some sort of power, theoretically they could empower someone like the Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds.
...what kind of power would that be?
We don't know for sure, but I have some theories...
Given the ability the Chaos Rings have to destroy Dark Rings, it's possible that one with the power of Chaos Rings would become a being of purity.
Since the Time Stones could control time on their own, absorbing their power could transfer some of that time control to their user.
And given the history of the Crystal Stars, absorbing their power may grant the abilities of a legendary hero, much like those who used them to stop the Shadow Queen.
Well, even if those abilities can be used, I feel like there's still something putting us at risk...
...what if Regulus siphons their energy before or while someone else used them, like with the World Rings?
I do not know who this 'Rotom' is, but they sound problematic.
As for soldiers, or whatever, there are a few outside of the barrier in of itself which guard it. They would likely make for a simple way inside.
Chaotic...is it possible that my logic is fried to the point that-No. It's their lack of information that leads them to their conclusion.
Well...could you at least let Quin out of there. We need to talk about something.
What...what was that for?
That? That was for me. My boss wants to talk to you.
Kilroy?
Who do you think?
You know he's just controlling you like I did, right?
No, I honestly doubt that. For one, I actually remember things compared to how you managed to make me both earn and lose an whole ship as well as half of my crew. All for the sake of some stupid Pokeball. Then you proceeded to program it to where I would reside in some pizzeria where I got drunk until getting fused with another, more aggressive version of me. Finally, after that whole shebang, you made it to where I became drunk once more AND missed the party. And if it wasn't for finding that watch, you would of try body-jacking me again for who know's what. Meanwhile you know what Kilroy's done? He's given me the power to make my own choices.
Okay...what's Two?
Two is that I could never do THIS to the people I hate.
You know...that's a fair point...
Now come on, let's see if your willing to accept his deal this time.
Uh hey Metal...I need to talk to you for a second in private about something...private...
Marisa?!
Seija?!
My Extra Stage?!
Dopp, you're taking it from here. Nobody touches my Extra Stage.
Um...
...well, Rika suggested that if the sheer force of combined opposing parties wasn't enough to stop Regulus from siphoning the energy, it could still be brought back by someone who's willing to "bend the rules" like him, Duracell, or Dark Elf.
She also pointed out this would make Dark Elf a potentially obvious target, which could theoretically lead to a back-and-forth "power struggle" comparable to her actions early in her round of the Duracell Games.
Hm. What do you say about all this, MS?
...MS?
So, Unbeatable Air, what did you need to discuss?
Where is that upside-down piece of
?!?!
So...when I fell through the roof, I noticed that you had a...greenish medallion. That's...a Nature Medallion, correct?
So...I don't need it for the sake of a power boost, rather...a memoir. Yeah, a memoir, to a guy that almost beat the great Unbeatable ...
...
No...I'm gonna cut the act. I'm scared. Not of dying, but of failure. What if everyone just pushes forwards while my corpse just...rusts? What if I give it everything, and I mean everything I've got, and this Regulus fellow just...laughs, then kills me just by looking at me. I'll be a failure! he fact is...I'm old. I'm outdated. I'm not the champion I used to be Metal. So...if the medallion accepts me, could I use it? It, combined with the Time Stones, should be enough power to make me useful again. To make me a fighter again. To make me worthy of my fans AND the mercy and humility that he showed me.
...
To tell you the truth, I've given up on trying to find people with elemental weaknesses anyway. They're few and far between, and as Sleet Man proved, also not prone to response.
So if you wish to wield the Nature Medallion...
...so be it.
...Thank you. Also, if no one's taken the Flame Medallion, why not use it yourself or give it to the user of the Sol Emeralds? Should increase their flames powers after all.
Oh, there you are.
...what were you doing back there?
I was...checking for something.
Hrnngh! (Checking for what?)
For this.
I had to ensure it was still in my possession, as the one who wields the Time Stones pointed out to me that whoever wields the Sol Emeralds would benefit greatly from the Medallion's ability to increase the power of fire attacks.
You let him just have the Time Stones?
...yes. Even if he's not as immediately available, I still trust that he'll properly use the power of the Time Stones when the time is right.
Sorry. I know it's unlike me to be rather late, but we decided to pick up Knuckles... Who suggested that we also went and got the rest of these.
If we're going to fight Regulus, we're gonna need these things... But the moment we got the last of them, Eggman and his robots tried to take them from us.
...I guess it should be clarified that it's our world's Eggman and his Classic counterpart we're talking about here. I'm guessing you're from the same world as Mecha Sonic was, right?
Indeed, I am.
I highly doubt Mecha clarified why our world was like it was...
...but that's besides the point.
I presume the Robotniks are refusing to cooperate, or even trying to take control of Regulus themselves?
My research does show they've often tried to control forces beyond their power. The Deadly Six, the Time Eater, Dark Gaia...even you and Chaos.
...I'm only aware of the latter two.
Wait, so would that mean your Eggman-
...never mind, that was inappropri-
He was killed shortly after Black Doom's death.
Oh.
Oh, just the person who built this place. Who, might I add, is much more than willing to move your general direction to oblivion.
And-a-then, he impaled-a-me. But-a-luckily, we won.
But un-a-fortunately, he's-a-still alive, back with even-a-greater forces than before.
...That's-a-lot to unravel.
It may be a bad-a-time to tell you this, but there's-a-more. When we met again he-a-didn't even bother trying to attack us or-a-kidnap us at all. Something about-a-major threat to significant to ignore.
Yeah... he may not have-a-been joking, either.
SAY WHAT!?
"Duracell"? Really?
Yeah. He's-a-gone now, like you-a-just saw, But what I'm-a-referring to is this-a-part in specific.

This-a-Duracell guy was no joke, in fact, his-a-power defied-a-reality in of itself. None of his actual challengers were-a-able to beat him, barely even hurting him at all. If there's something out-a-there even more powerful...
...Then-a-Somatic really wasn't-a-kidding. Tailigee. Is it-a-possible for you to-a-make a radar for the Chaos Coins?
...Sure, but I'd-a-need a radar to capture the right frequency of-a-energy. Without it, it'd-a-be impossib--
Wh--when? How?
Heh heh. I-a-found one on my-a-way here.
Well, I'll need at least an hour to make it.
Thanks, bro. Yoshles, let's-a-go.
(Right behind ya!)
Actually, I think he was just upset he didn't get to gather any of the pieces of the Master Emerald. He doesn't even seem to be aware that this "Regulus" even... exists.
In any case, we stopped his plans for now. What's next?
If you're-a gonna face Regulus, then you're-a gonna need more-a firepower.
Fortunately, I've-a already gotten a few things myself.
No need to thank me. Just-a doing my part to keep-a the Omniverse intact.
Honestly, trying to hijack a robot from Hades' front yard is a stupid move given that he can literally see us through the window.
Instead we should probably look for one in the middle of nowhere, or someplace where he doesn't feel the need for security measures.
A bit of strategy and a whole lot of luck. Also, we need to have our code ready when we find something to hack, so that we don't have to forcefully shut it down and risk raising suspicion.
ugh... what happened last night? i feel like i've been entirely inactive for multiple months...
