Story:
The gears of conflict grind once again as a interuniversal faction sets its eyes on a small desolate planet. Though it's resources have long since been mined into exhaustion, the inhabitants have yet to give up hope, wishing on the stars that something frees them from their isolated and lonely fate. Still, others are taking actions into their own hands, doing everything in their power to defend against an foe with unknown and possibly unmatched power. All the while, the skies seem to have grown ever darker. Can the ARDF and everyone else on the planet hope to stand a chance against whatever oncoming danger approaches their way? Tune into find out on: Legacy!



*ATTENTION, ALL ACTORS*
In order to join this forum and get the most out of the forum, it is highly advised you create a character by checking out the rulebook. Another thing I need to state is that this project is intended to be community driven, so any enemies, skills, weapons, equipment, or just about anything you want to create will most likely be added to the project, with credit given if desired. Also, any new data added to one of the databanks will have a |NEW!| next to it.


Commands:
If you wish to view the battle map, type BMAP at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you wish to know where all active playable characters are at, type LIST at the end of your post or simply ask.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Finally, Legacy's purpose is the idea that anyone can be a Director and add pieces to the story. With that said, certain things may be barred, such as having characters from existing media(Mega Man's excluded from this, but even still there are things barred(see rulebook)) or things like spirits and magic. While these could have in-universe explanations, the genre of Legacy is, in a nutshell, Sci-Fi. There's nothing wrong with making a character that could fit in a fantasy setting, but it has to work some way or another. An example is deities. If you wish to introduce them, make them cosmic forces or a rare species or whatever you wish, just please not actual gods. Please understand that despite all that I don't wish to impede creation.

Right, I think that'll do. How much do we owe you?

(I know that I can just calculate it myself, but I feel like this would make more sense than Bass somehow magically knowing the total cost of the weapons- as far as I am aware, the price tag of these weapons aren't visible in the scenario proper.)

Weathered metal hands flip and toss letter after letter into a bin. Focusing on other things, he throws away a noticeably shiny letter in before imminently reaching back into the bin to fish it out.

  Hey if it isn't my ol pal Director Man! So...got a pitch for ya, think you'll love it. Remember that old project Legacy, from a few months back? Well... turns out the Big Cheese wants some more. Yeah, you read that right. Betcha just as surprised as I am, huh? Now...We'll have to run the story off from when we last had it. A reboot would take too long. Course we're gonna need a recap but I'm sure that's something you can figure out. I imagine you could just put some clips together or something.
  Now...while the daily airing of new Legacy scenes would be more preferred for the audience, I propose we switch to biweekly airings. Doing this should prevent our new crew from getting too warn out and let us better plan out our commercial breaks. Plus, it lets people catch up more, perfect for reruns. Now, We could get those ADMs(Assisting Director Man)s on but even with that we need to make sure we have something coming on otherwise they'll cut our funding again.
  If we aim for 3 times a week...that's at least 60 scenes. We can probably increase the amount as we go along but otherwise 60 main scenes should be good enough to push right into and slightly past the Glow Invades Inco Arc. From there...we can get the funding to make the second half of the season a reality. So...are you are your crew in?

When we last left our heroes, they entered the famous Doctor Ivory Woe’s lab in search of weapons to combat an otherworldly threat, the Glow. Stumbling onto a high powered cannon, MIDI and friends search around for any other gear. As Blast finds a weapon chip and Meddy a pair of defibs, Acorn rumbles through a pile of junk on his own with extendo arms.

Retracting, he reveals…an abnormally shaped mechanical eye.

Crushing it, Acorn jumps back as the pile comes to life.

Where we last left off with our fiery friend, after wandering the streets with a heavy safe, he finds himself within a seemingly innocent shop.
Glass Cliff Caves [Brash]

Where we last left off our well-grounded heroes, Concrete, driven by a damaged former worker, races down a slope. Accompanying him is none other than Eddie!

Just as you see it, the lip of the cave’s cliff gives way to the bleak void. With the speed acquired from the descent, Concrete finds himself suddenly thrown forwards with no ground to stand upon. Below you, you barely see the Picket Man falling helmet first.

Where we last left our powerful heroes, they had started attempting to uncover a conspiracy in the works, stopping by for supplies first.

Blinking, P11 looks down before showing his badge to the old Joke.

Where we last left our otherdimensional duo, there were being lead by a Ball Met when out of nowhere an Junk Golem attacked. However, its intent seems to be unknown for instead of attacking, it has taken the time to change form.

Woe Labs Entrance [Gyro]

Where we last left our tremendous trio, they, being Dust, Star, and Quint, have gotten word of their friends, the ARDF, needing help. Though the party prior seems to have cleared the way, it's best to be on the lookout for anything they might have missed.

As the trio opens the door, the signs of a battle can be seen. A defeated police bot can be seen as well as another further in glowing an ominous yellow tint.
Battle Truck of Doom [HighTower, Gyro]

Where we last left our (…hmm), where we last left our comical duo Freeze and Hornet, they, in contact with former Inco leader Banus, carefully drive a military truck to an remote location with materials. Indeed, even with two combatants, Ark and Gyro, dishing it out, these two highly-trained members of the former government are-

As the truck drives towards a dead end, Hornet keeps looking back to Freeze and the iron fence just ahead.

Freeze nonchalantly taps a flashing green button above him, something that Hornet has just now noticed. As the ground rumbles, this seems to be Gyro’s last chance to hightail it out of here…but is it worth letting these no-good thieves get away? Course, the powerhouse that is Ark might not let him get that chance to decide.
Abandoned? House [Exee]

Where we last left our cyplopian comrade, she had stumbled onto an old house. More than that though, it appears to be an ol heavily damaged and deactivated Picket Man.
…The smell of rubber in the air grows tenfold, almost enough to make you gag if your not careful.
8/10/22 Notes


A new feature has been added to raise the stakes! Ignoring any already encountered enemies so far, new enemies could have their stats and moves obscured. As you and they battle, you'll unlock new info about them which will be placed into the unit databank! Doing this could also net you a few points into a special currency named INTEL. Something to note is that having an high INT could help you learn more about a target easier but isn't required. What use INTEL will have is unknown(as in undecided) for now but stay tuned for more updates. If you've played beforehand, welcome back and if your new to this and wish to join, don't hesitate to let me know.

Also, don't know why I never did this but I added the Shop Database to the opening. Felt like a nobrainer but alas.

Finally, I actually updated the Suggestions Fourm. It has a bit more questions than last time but I would love to hear your opinion.

Then, without warning, Gyro starts hearing some sort of, jaws theme-like beeping followed by a unknown voice...
ZETSUMETSU: LEARNING 1 (Noise/Impact)
Then... dark red flames made of noise surround the one in the back (Ark), who then clenches his left hand, and tears a hole on the top of the roof, hitting Gryo right in the chest dealing a fixed 13 damage!

Shining like a dying lightbulb in a dark room, the police bot lies motionless. Notably, its head seems to have been smashed in. It's unlikely that it will get back up soon if at all. Meanwhile, save for some loose metal scraps and a few other broken machines, it seems that this place is empty.
Star hears something shuffling on the ground nearby.
Veiada Street

As the message is poorly heard and distorted through Gyro's receiver, the truck disappears under the ground and along with it the entrance way as the ramp closes.
Old Veiada Street

As the underground lights speed past, you can breath a sigh of relief. You(Ark) can hear the chatter coming from the cockpit. It seems to be in high spirits. If you listen close enough you could tune in to their conservation.
Porkril's Shop

As you view the items, various herbs and other liquids line the shelves. Suddenly a voice speaks up
So...2000Z right? 3000Z?
...Oh yeah! As it turns out, it seems that the store manager might have something off the menu for you through a misunderstanding. Whatever those glowing blue bottles might have in em might be worth the price tag...or might simply pose more trouble...

Meddy's eyes bug out of her head like a cartoon character seeing Acorn downed in two strikes. She fires her Stabilizer again, although this time out of a fear-driven accident.
Heat Man seems distracted, but regains his sense of self.

Dust and quint begin to sort of, shuffle sneak into the room, with dust looking at the body with a look of...uncomfortability,star on the other hand looks around, trying to figure out what that sound was
