Story:
The gears of conflict grind once again as a interuniversal faction sets its eyes on a small desolate planet. Though it's resources have long since been mined into exhaustion, the inhabitants have yet to give up hope, wishing on the stars that something frees them from their isolated and lonely fate. Still, others are taking actions into their own hands, doing everything in their power to defend against an foe with unknown and possibly unmatched power. All the while, the skies seem to have grown ever darker. Can the ARDF and everyone else on the planet hope to stand a chance against whatever oncoming danger approaches their way? Tune into find out on: Legacy!



*ATTENTION, ALL ACTORS*
In order to join this forum and get the most out of the forum, it is highly advised you create a character by checking out the rulebook. Another thing I need to state is that this project is intended to be community driven, so any enemies, skills, weapons, equipment, or just about anything you want to create will most likely be added to the project, with credit given if desired. Also, any new data added to one of the databanks will have a |NEW!| next to it.


Commands:
If you wish to view the battle map, type BMAP at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you wish to know where all active playable characters are at, type LIST at the end of your post or simply ask.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Finally, Legacy's purpose is the idea that anyone can be a Director and add pieces to the story. With that said, certain things may be barred, such as having characters from existing media(Mega Man's excluded from this, but even still there are things barred(see rulebook)) or things like spirits and magic. While these could have in-universe explanations, the genre of Legacy is, in a nutshell, Sci-Fi. There's nothing wrong with making a character that could fit in a fantasy setting, but it has to work some way or another. An example is deities. If you wish to introduce them, make them cosmic forces or a rare species or whatever you wish, just please not actual gods. Please understand that despite all that I don't wish to impede creation.

Dust man keeps completely still,his eyes as wide as physically possible for them to go, and also points the broom at the janitor!
Quint is knocked back by the slime,rolling when he hits the ground,he then produces the energy capsule he found and consumes it,aswell as bringing out sakugarne in preparation to use sakugarne stomp!
gyro-man_alt3 ...how much,or what's the favour you need?

People of "Inco". I am Admiral Nooh of the Raykeeper Division of the Glow. In accordance with the Watche Convention, I must let you know that we will be taking control of this planet in less than 12 hours. I will personally hold responsible any unnessacary casualties that my troops may inflict if your military surrenders peacefully. Any rogue troops will be dealt with but there will be no repercussions if it is found that the previous government did not authorize/radicalize them.
The message then repeats...

During the battle, quint picks up the transmission.
Star goes stunned again, lumping forwards as the message begins to transmit through him, Blast looks on at star, showing, for what maybe the first time in his life, visible fear and concern at what he's hearing

Leo: A.R.D.F members and soldiers that are loyal to me! Current missions are canceled for the moment! These "Raykeepers" are trying to take over our homes and lives! 12 hours is our time limit before they take over! Get going as best and fast as you all can, have I made myself clear?!

The capsule heals Quint for 10HP, bringing his total to 16.
Quint hops onto his Sakugarne and stomps onto the slime!
Damage: 7+16=23-12-5=14
Dodge: 16-6=10. No extra dice added.
Results: As he pogos the slime, he takes no damage due to using Sakugarne instead of his feet. 16 damage was dealt!
Victory!
Quint received 25xp!

The Ball Met grabs the broom out of Dust's hand with an extendo arm. Meanwhile Chomper grabs a dustpan and eats it.

As the two armies clash, the sky was a sickening grey. Despite the scouts reporting that the enemy had numbers unlike anything they had seen, it seemed to be as though the two sides were even in size with the Biostar's invading force easily winning the fight. A quick glimpse through Manifest's Vision Blader confirmed this.
Sir, have you noticed?
Indeed. Their colors don't match that of what the scouts were saying. No doubt mercs. Once we turn them to goop-
As he looks once again through the Vision Blader, his amulet lights up.
Those corpses' are radiating electricity! They're E-
Before he can finish, the corpses of the mercs not melted detonate, resulting in the nearby surroundings to be covered in electricity. Both the nearby mercs and the Biostar units fall to the ground.
Dachones Y! Target the enemy from afar to buy us time while our Shield Supporters reboot our troops!
As the Dachones walk forth, the ground beneath them quakes. Some of the non-stunned mercs try to turn around but are stopped by the massive wave of troops moving forth. One notices their comrade has a hazed expression.

Quint picks up the items dropped by the slime, storing sakugarne away

Quint then listens to the transmission by the glow,he scowls under his visor and continues heading down the hospital
Dust jumps as the broom is taken from him,and he quickly opens the door to the closet

Blast man slaps Star,knocking him out of this transmission mode, he then grabs a confused star by the shoulders

blast-man_alt Arm yourself star. We need to defend this place with our lives.

Star, still confused, nods in agreement

Gyro man then checks in with his broken communications device, Only to receive General Leos broken transmission

Here, let me try that again.
MIDI hears a weird whip sound before, sure enough he hears a familiar voice come from within.
Since I'm made of EM waves, I should be able to...
MIDI feels his arm raise up by itself...for a second.
That confirms it.
While I was in your body, I noticed many mechanisms that allow for movement and other things. If you can get me to any signal-bearing machine, I might be able to control it.

Hmm...I feel it would be best if you were to give your existence away since you know more than I when it comes to you.

I don't have any weapons to give you, but I could hyjack a body.
Oh. Actually back at my lab, I made a armory of sorts for the army. Paid nice and it helped my overall skills plus I kept the extra weapons in the end. Just head there, though I can't say what weapons will be useful.
Hospital, 05
As Quint walks down the stairs, a long hallway made out of glass greets you. You could go further down the stairs to floor 4/3/2 or go down the hallway to get a look at the outside world. There is also two rooms nearby, but both seem to require a keycard or brute force. One of them is labeled Security and the other is EVAC. Their might be another way to get in...

Content, the Ball Met Ver.J rolls out the door and down the hall. You hear a whisper.

An invasion? Why would anyone want to invade this old dump?
Well...they're a problem with speeding up progress. Not a single one of us know how to fix pipes efficiently and unfortunately there are alot of holes. Fortunately we have a lot of duct tape.
Don't worry though, we'll hurry the best we can. Maybe 13 hours, but we can't go anywhere if this ship looks like it's gonna explode.

As Meddy opens the briefcase, it appears to be a tranquillizer pistol painted white and red. Also inside the briefcase appears to be a list of rooms with one circled.
Bulk's Shop
As Heat enters the store, a bell rings. A Merc Joe can be seen quickly turning off a radio.
Oh, a customer.
Out of all the times for someone to show up...

Freeze and Hornet seem to have found a comprimise and are listening to a mystery radio show.

So, if the butler were to have shot the owner, it would of made a mess, which is why he would of gone with a less er...messy alternative should he had chose to kill him.
But he was caught with the gun. Couldn't he have simply cleaned the stains if he was given enough time?
He was caught CLEANING the gun. The machine itself is programed to clean the nearest thing. If he had shot the gun, he would of immediately have cleaned the body instead as the gun would of been already spotless.

Which means, it had to-HEY!
The sudden outburst startles them. While Hornet is thumbling around for something, Freeze turns down the radio show.

Gyro man heads out of the space ship and takes flight! going as fast as he could back to the hospital
Star and blast are now searching for extra weapons outside of the hospital, including attempting to gather people to assemble an army!
Quint takes not of the security door, he then walks over to the glass hallway to check the outside world.

quintYeesh, this place is pretty torn up, why would those glow people want to take over? bragging rights?
