Story:
The gears of conflict grind once again as a interuniversal faction sets its eyes on a small desolate planet. Though it's resources have long since been mined into exhaustion, the inhabitants have yet to give up hope, wishing on the stars that something frees them from their isolated and lonely fate. Still, others are taking actions into their own hands, doing everything in their power to defend against an foe with unknown and possibly unmatched power. All the while, the skies seem to have grown ever darker. Can the ARDF and everyone else on the planet hope to stand a chance against whatever oncoming danger approaches their way? Tune into find out on: Legacy!



*ATTENTION, ALL ACTORS*
In order to join this forum and get the most out of the forum, it is highly advised you create a character by checking out the rulebook. Another thing I need to state is that this project is intended to be community driven, so any enemies, skills, weapons, equipment, or just about anything you want to create will most likely be added to the project, with credit given if desired. Also, any new data added to one of the databanks will have a |NEW!| next to it.


Commands:
If you wish to view the battle map, type BMAP at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you wish to know where all active playable characters are at, type LIST at the end of your post or simply ask.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Finally, Legacy's purpose is the idea that anyone can be a Director and add pieces to the story. With that said, certain things may be barred, such as having characters from existing media(Mega Man's excluded from this, but even still there are things barred(see rulebook)) or things like spirits and magic. While these could have in-universe explanations, the genre of Legacy is, in a nutshell, Sci-Fi. There's nothing wrong with making a character that could fit in a fantasy setting, but it has to work some way or another. An example is deities. If you wish to introduce them, make them cosmic forces or a rare species or whatever you wish, just please not actual gods. Please understand that despite all that I don't wish to impede creation.

Dust looks at the paper and nods,writing a small note of we all have things we have to hide. ok the paper and showing it to 'acorn' before shoving it inside of his vacuum and inhaling so the scrap was stored within wherever dust keeps scrap

Meanwhile in the boiler room,blast and star both paused and looked down at the crystally glob on star's foot that was causing him to slow down,blast then took a slow step back away from star.
star then mimicked a deep breath,before raising another star shield and running at the crystalime screaming as loud as his voice box would allow him!

Blast took this opportunity to throw out another blast chain towards crystalime B!

The Picket Man jumped into a nearby dumpster...only for a loud crunching sound to be heard.
Hospital, In and Out

Dust could swear he could see a smile on Acorn's face as he walked into the hospital.

Meanwhile, at floor -6

No one will think to look down here for any crystals...eheheh.
Boiler Room

The Blast Chain lands next to the Crystalime B.
Star Man charges the Crystalime(I'm assuming A)

Damage: 10+10=20-8=12.
Dodge: 10-11=1. No extra dice added.
Results: 12 damage was dealt to the Crystalime A! The Crystalime gets sent flying back.

ENEMY PHASE
The Darkshine Crystalime was still stunned from the bop wrench and slowly rolled to a nearby wall. Slowly but surely, it's senses return to it.
Meanwhile Crystalime A and B both try and roll into the Boiler, hitting any targets in the way.
Crystalime A
Blast
Damage: 12+8=20. 20-10=10
Dodge: 16-10=6. Two extra dodge number added.
Results: The slime barreled past the target!
Star
Damage: 20-18-4=0
Dodge: 11-10= 1. No extra dodge numbers accounted for.
Results: The barrier bounced the Crystalime back, preventing it's roll.
Crystalime B
MIDI
Damage: 19-15=4
Dodge: 15-9=4. Star added one dodge number.
Results: The slime barreled into the target, dealing 4 damage, and kept going!
Meddy
Damage: 19-8=8
Dodge: One extra dodge number.
Results: The slime barreled past the target and kept going!
Boiler
Damage: 11+8=19-10=9
Dodge: 1 dodge die each.
Results: Crystalime B rammed the Boiler, causing dents in the boiler system.

The heat caused the stability of the slimes to decrease!
-2STA to all Slimes!

PLAYER PHASE

Meddy tries to ZAP! the Crystalime B with Life Sapper.
Damage: No damage.
Dodge: No extra dodge dice
Results: What luck! The Life Sapper stole 5HP from the enemy!


MIDI throws the Mag Wrench at the Darkshine Crystalime once more!
Damage: 5
Dodge: No extra dodges
Results: The wrench hits the Darkshine Crystalime but doesn't stun it this time.

dust choses not to question 'acorn's smile, and looks at some of the shards and dust on the floor left by the miners

dust-man_alt I hope they understand that i'm not cleaning this up, besides, this stuff feels like it would damage me if i were to inhale it-
blast jumps back away from the darkshine slime, and pulls out a fake detonator, upon seeing this,star stops his anger driven attack on the slime and moves back aswell,trying to put himself between the slimes and the group

blast-man_altEveryone stand back!

blast man then flashes a manic grin as he flips the safety cap of the detonator

blast-man_altThis'll be DYNAMITE!

he then takes a second to allow MIDI and meddy to move away from the slimes, and then mimics pressing the detonator switch, at the same time activating the chain blast bombs to explode!

Town entrance
Sparks are slowly starting to fly, then, a portal opens, launching someone who looks familiar to two certain heroes get's launched out of the portal.

X(Cross) buster - Causes defense to be raised by 2 when charged, has a range of 60, and a POW of 3
Mega Slide - Range of 30, causes X(Cross) to slide up to the target hit, or to get from point A to point B
Rising Fire - A close quarters headbutt upwards, capable of burning the foe

Inventory:
C Emblem - The emblem of another doctor from the Jumbled up world. Raises intelligence by 2.

Boiler Room

Star regens 2WE due to only performing an action.
The explosions go off, damaging all targets.

Blast Chain A

Damage: 6+17=23 23-12-3(Negated and destroyed by Wall Buster trait if hit)=11 / 23-7=16
Dodge: 4-16=-12. / 10-16=-4. No extra die added.
Calculations: The bomb detonates, heavily damaging the Darkshine and the regular Crystalimes. As the plating flys off of the Darkshine, it starts to glow a hot pink, resembling a regular Crystalime.

Blast Chain B

Damage: 23-7= 16
Dodge: No extra die added.
Calculations: The bomb detonates, causing the Crystalime to become powder.

ENEMY PHASE
The former Darkshine becomes fearful and begins retreating by trying to climb onto the wall. However, the heat prevents it from getting a grip. Seeing it's plight, it begins trying to hop away. Meanwhile the other Crystalime was too disorientated to move.
Player Phase
MIDI once agains throws a wrench at Darkshine.
Damage: Enough to KO
Dodge: 8-15. No extra dice added.
Results: With a final strike, the slime falls.

Meddy fires...tries to fire a Life Sapper! However, due to her lack of weapon energy, a red fizzle shoots out. However, before the other slime could do anything, the heat from the room caused it to evaporate.

MIDI gained 60xp! Level UP(2x)! Gained 10 stat points!

Star gained 60xp from combat! Level Up! Gained 5 stat points!

Hospital

What I'd give to have that janitor bot's salary when they clean this place up.
Acorn looks around before spotting a bodybag. Confused, he walks up to it and notices a strange shape. Finding a zipper, he pulls it before turning pale.

Into the night the three drive while retrowave plays.
Oh! This is a good one.
As Danabite looks out the window, they near the exit of Nameless Town.
Alleyway

As Heat walks away, the sound of a dumpster lid lifts up but doesn't go back down. No other sounds can be heard.
Neptune City, Karun Street

As X(Cross) questions his surroundings, a few Beetle Borgs look in surprise at the newcomer.
Regal gets a phone call.

As blast was talking he was cut out by static coming from his slightly damaged built communicator,aswell as star going blank again
Dust looks into the bag as Gyro joins him and acorn,simultaneously both of their eyes widen with fear
