Story:
The gears of conflict grind once again as a interuniversal faction sets its eyes on a small desolate planet. Though it's resources have long since been mined into exhaustion, the inhabitants have yet to give up hope, wishing on the stars that something frees them from their isolated and lonely fate. Still, others are taking actions into their own hands, doing everything in their power to defend against an foe with unknown and possibly unmatched power. All the while, the skies seem to have grown ever darker. Can the ARDF and everyone else on the planet hope to stand a chance against whatever oncoming danger approaches their way? Tune into find out on: Legacy!

In order to join this forum and get the most out of the forum, it is highly advised you create a character by checking out the rulebook. Another thing I need to state is that this project is intended to be community driven, so any enemies, skills, weapons, equipment, or just about anything you want to create will most likely be added to the project, with credit given if desired. Also, any new data added to one of the databanks will have a |NEW!| next to it.
Commands:
If you wish to view the battle map, type BMAP at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you wish to know where all active playable characters are at, type LIST at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Finally, Legacy's purpose is the idea that anyone can be a Director and add pieces to the story. With that said, certain things may be barred, such as having characters from existing media(Mega Man's excluded from this, but even still there are things barred(see rulebook)) or things like spirits and magic. While these could have in-universe explanations, the genre of Legacy is, in a nutshell, Sci-Fi. There's nothing wrong with making a character that could fit in a fantasy setting, but it has to work some way or another. An example is deities. If you wish to introduce them, make them cosmic forces or a rare species or whatever you wish, just please not actual gods. Please understand that despite all that I don't wish to impede creation.

MIDI comes out of an elevator pushing a table full of old TVs, monitors, PC boxes, cables and radios, and even three satellite dishes. He starts hooking most of it all up on a room that he labels "Command Center" with a sharpie and a piece of paper.

The quartet of dust,blast,star and gyro decide to split off and explore the university to find anything useful
Dust heads upstairs to find somewhere a lot quieter, when he finds somewhere out of sight, he sits down, and pulls out his newspaper,and continues to struggle with the crossword, he then mumbles to himself
I SWEAR 4 down was donut-
Likewise, blast also heads upstairs, up to the roof, he looks around for a second, before pulling a bazooka from who-knows-where, and begins to clean it with a cloth, occasionally making noises of discontent as he rubs a certain spot of the bazooka
Come on! clean you stupid weapon! CLEAN!
Gyro heads further into the university,hoping to find some items of value,his propeller is spinning slowly as he wanders
Star is still at the entrance of the university,looking for flowers to pick to make his poses more dramatic!

After a good half hour, Taurus finally has an actual reason to be in awe, as a large computer cluster capable of monitoring TV and radio channels and showing many of them at once on its screens is put in place. There's also a large board for collecting intel on Regal on the side.
With that done, MIDI leaves the room with yet another satellite dish and computer, going to an out-of-sight room with a direct view of the ominous tower...
MIDI:(Now, I'm pretty sure Woe had a wireless internet thing set up in his lab, and since that's just radio waves I might just be able to pick the signal up from here. And since he opened some kinda portal over there, I gotta know what's happening. Don't want another incident like that Doomguy wannabe killing Fridge.)
After hooking it up to the PC, MIDI points the satellite dish directly at the tower...

After finally cleaning that dirt splatter on his bazooka,blast stands up,and looks up to the sky,he then produced a chain blast bomb from his hand,and throws it up in the air,he then takes aim with the bazooka,and fires a buster shot!,the collision of the bomb and the buster shot causes a small firework explosion to appear from the collision,causing blast to grin

Meanwhile, it seems like Meddy has finally got her own workstation fully set up, in a different room in the Univerity. She sighs.
It's finally done. I feel awfully bad about the way I treated everyone, but I don't want them to feel like I'm not committed to this whole ARDF thing. Then again, it's starting to seem like I've only made things worse.

After traversing a hole in the floor, Acorn finally reaches his destination: The Library. Acorn tries to open the door but finds it locked. Acorn weighs his options before deciding to operate a nearby terminal.
A message pops up on one of MIDI's computers.
Hey! Can you see if you can unlock the Library's door? I don't want to break it and the door requires an access code.

MIDI tries to tune in directly to Acorn's comms frequency, and once he finds it:

Sure enough, the code works, allowing Acorn into the Library. Strangely, the lights in this room refused to turned on but thankfully the windows leading to the outside world radiate the room. Before the door even fully opens on its own, Acorn rushes into the library and runs to a bookcase, eyes darting to see all the titles. As the library door opens completely, a loud sound echoes through the room.
At first, nothing but static is heard from the satellite dish. However, the static then stops for a second only to start back up. The breaks of static seem randomized and yet uniformed at the same time...

Not finding what he's looking for, Acorn continues to run from shelf to shelf before at last seeming content on the history section. He pulls out a book related to the history of robotics and plops down on a dusty couch. Though the sky has become a dark blue signaling the evening, there's still enough light left for him to read it without having to find a flashlight.

Dust continues to struggle with the cross word,eventually giving up and throwing it on the floor in anger before picking it back up and stuffing it inside his vacuum he then gets up and wanders,eventually reaching the room midi and taurus was in,still gaping,he clicks his fingers infront of taurus
