As some of you may know, we have a prehistorically ancient chat room on this site. Its background is bright white, and it makes no sound effect for when someone speaks, So, I've taken the liberty of creating a Xat-powered Chat Room for us to talk it up in while Adrian tries to work on building a more suitable Chat Room for MMRPG.

This Chat Room has a crazy array of features: a Youtube player, a Doodle feature where you can draw, a private messaging feature [so that you can privately chat with others], and, yes, a volume setting, as well. After some testing, Adrian has OK'd it for public use in the MMRPG community. Yayz.

THERE ARE RULES THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED WHEN USING THIS CHAT:

#1. ALL MMRPG POSTING AND CHAT RULES APPLY HERE.
Keep the cursing to an absolute minimum, and completely censor them--kids still roam these parts.
Too much cursing, flaming or rule-breaking in general will force warnings, then Chat Bans, either by me or by MMRPG staffers.

#2. I AM NOT THE GUY IN CHARGE.
Even though I created this Xat, there are AT LEAST 3 proven active Moderators on MMRPG [MegaBossMan, Spinstrike and Rhythm_BCA] who clearly know what they're doing and know a bad apple when they see one. I can help you navigate through the features of the Xat, itself, as well as explain what is and isn't allowed, but, if, for some reason, an MMRPG Moderator and/or Administrator has to order me to force an extended ban on you because you refuse to chat as if you have common sense, I *WILL* have to obey that order, ESPECIALLY if it's from Adrian or MegaBossMan.

#3. DO NOT DRAW OBSCENE GESTURES, WORDS OR IMAGES IN THE DOODLE FEATURE.
When you draw in the Xat's Doodle feature, EVERYONE in the Xat's main room can see it.
Fair warning, right now: You're instabanned from the Xat for *AT LEAST* 72 hours if *I* find you drawing anything rule-breaking or obscene. Your image will also be screened and sent to every active Moderator I know of on MMRPG; That's MegaBossMan, Spinstrike, Rhythm, and, yes, Adrian, as well. If MegaBossMan or *ESPECIALLY* Adrian sees it, well, you can consider yourself completely hosed. They [and I] have PERMABANNING powers in the Xat [I made sure of it], and they'll likely force an extended ban on you from MMRPG, itself.

#4. DO NOT FORCE YOUTUBE BROADCASTS ON EVERYONE.
Not everyone in the Chat wants to watch--for example--My Little Pony videos. No. Just...NO.
Abuse of the Xat's Youtube Broadcast feature will result in a warning, followed by a ban of at least an hour, followed by increasingly LONGER bans if it persists.

#5. INTENTIONAL FLOODING = AUTOMATIC INSTABAN.
You don't get to speak gibberish every 1.5 seconds and erase everything that someone else wants to say. That's not gonna cut it in these parts. There's no warning for this; persistent and intentional flooding = an automatic ban of at least an hour [likely longer] and--possibly--the reporting and screening of your flood to the MMRPG staff if it persists.

#6. DO NOT HARASS OTHER MEMBERS.
Harassing other members, either via the main open chat, or by using the Chat's Private Messaging feature to torment or harass other members is strictly prohibited. If a Member produces legitimate screenshots of you embarassing yourself by harassing a Member, you'll likely find yourself banned not only from the Xat, but from MMRPG, altogether.

#7. POLITICAL, SEXUALITY AND RELIGIOUS CONVERSATIONS/DEBATES ARE PROHIBITED.
These are touchy topics that will no doubt start arguments and flames that don't need to be happening, really. What a person votes, who a person dates, and who they do and don't praise doesn't matter to me, and it certainly shouldn't matter to you. The banhammer shall come down for at least 24 hours to anyone that insists on talking about this, despite the warnings that a Mod/Admin keeps giving.

#8. DO NOT SPAM THINGS. [Thanks, MegaBossMan]
Don't say the SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It just gets annoying.
Don't link the SAME IMAGE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It just gets annoying.
Don't link the SAME YOUTUBE VIDEO OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It just.....you get it.
Excessive or intentional spamming--PERIOD--is annoying, and it's not allowed. The average person might get a warning or 2 about it before they find themselves banned for a few hours because of their sheer disrespect and ignorance in ignoring both this AND Rule #5. Don't be that person.

#9. YOU MUST USE YOUR PROTOTYPE NAME OR CLEARLY ANNOUNCE WHO YOU ARE.
When using the chat, please use your prototype name or something closely resembling it. Short forms and acronyms of your name are also acceptable. This is mostly a formality so we know who you are, and it helps build a better rapport with the other members if you're honest about who you are. If you really don't want to use your prototype name, you may use something else but it must not be offensive or infringe on the username of any other member. If you are going this route, it would be appreciated if you could at least announce who you really are when you first enter the chat so others can greet you accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

#10. NO RULEBREAKING IMAGES [OR LINKS].
If you don't like any of the over 1,700 preset avatars that the Xat has, you can use your own custom image as your avatar.

First, click on your Xat name in the column on the right while in the Prototype Xat. You should see a large box with a number in it between 1 and 1,800. Click it, and type the url of the image you want as your avi in it. THE IMAGE MUST BE EITHER FROM PHOTOBUCKET OR TINYPIC; this is a Xat rule, not a Prototype rule.

If you do choose a custom image, or even if you're linking to images in the Xat, be sure to keep it clean and kid-friendly, OK? I don't have to explain what happens if you post a rulebreaking avatar, do I?

#11. ROLE PLAY IN MODERATION, PLEASE. [Thanks, MegaBossMan]

I know that this is the CASUAL Chat and all, but, if I'm honest, There's a time and a place to do that, and it's not always this Chat; Prototype has a whole RP section dedicated to that. No *immediate* penalties if this happens, but, if the chat is full of people discussing things that *aren't* RP, and 2 people suddenly break out in an RP mood, it CAN kill the chat.

If there's only 2 or 3 or 4 people, that's one thing, but, if there's more than 6, do them all a favor and please use the Private Chat feature to do your RPing. RP with your RPing partner that way, pleaseandthankyou. Either that or use the RP section.

If you're too, TOO disruptive with the RPing, of course, that'll be another story. Don't be in that story.
