While I don't exactly agree with his methods- or those of what Coda told us about it- I don't see why you don't want to be in Smash like they do.
I never said I didn't want to be in Smash, I said I didn't care either way. And even then, what do you think Master Hand's going to do if he finds the Smash DLC to be dead, huh? Is he going to reward the killers with spots on the roster? No, of course not! Why the hell would he!?
And besides, at the end of the day, while it's an honor to be a fighter in it, being in Smash is a cheap way to obtain popularity that may as well be TEMPORARY. Seriously, when was the last time you ever heard people like Captain Falcon, or Little Mac, or even Banjo and Kazooie have any new adventures beyond Smash, recently? Obvious answer: They never had. And quite frankly, they may never WILL.
I mean, come on; Banjo's being in Smash was swiftly overshadowed by a Mii Costume of a stupid meme skeleton! If that's how highly anticipated fighters are treated, maybe it's best for both me AND Smash Bros. if I never join!

Alright, look! I don't CARE if you think I need supervision, NOR do I care whether or not I'm in Smash! (I mean, I wouldn't turn it down, but- Well, it doesn't matter. To me, anyways.) Listen. I already have someone to pair up with against these guys, believe it or not. And even then, I have... *Ahem* Connections. So, why don't you bug off, BOTH of ya, and just leave me to my OWN group! ...Hm... Both-a methods do have their own benefits... We-a certainly have-a decent numbers to split up, too... But there's-a no telling what we'll-a be up against in-a these other places. On-a the one hand, we had Morton and-a King Bob-omb decently outnumbered... But-a the Koopalings can most-a certainly learn from-a this, and-a can adapt that tactic into their-a methods... ...But on-a the other hand... Deciding to stick together could possibly give-a the other Koopalings a better chance of-a taking over their areas without interruption. ...Well, either way, it has-a become clear that we cannot trust-a Stanley to be on-a his own. So either way, he's-a coming with-a me and-a Mario. Wait, WHAT-

What the-!? Outta the way, Jumpman! This guy's a villain, and needs to be taken out!
Stanley, he already's defeated. You don't-a have to kill him to stop him.
Says you! If he doesn't die now, what's there to stop him from doing something like this again? REGULUS is still intent on returning to destroy us all!
Mario falls silent for a brief second.
...Disregarding however you-a could've possibly ever heard of-a that name... This has-a nothing to do with Regulus... And-a even so, killing Morton like-a this is-a NOT how you be a hero.
Besides... Killing him will-a only make matters against-a Bowser much worse.

...Being a hero isn't about taking out-a bad guys. It's about protecting your-a home, and-a the people you care about. As such, victory comes simply from defeating the bad guy... And that-a doesn't always have to be achieved by-a such extreme measures.
