As the vine begins to crush R.O.B., he deploys a Robot Gyro to slice the vine down to the root (but not Root)! He then uses a Reflector Arm to reflect nearby droplets with immense power!!!

After their defeat at the hands of BreakMan GZ and Koishi, the Fighting Mecha Team is recovering in their base...which, despite the name, is just a large cardboard box.

For some reason, memory fails me on what vanquished me in battle... 
RESEARCHING BATTLE MEMORY. ... 
I mean, usually I don't pay attention because we always lose anyway... 
..but even for not paying attention, all I remember was GZ and some phone*... Well, team, looks like we have our next mission: Find out what happened!! 
We're pathetic... *Reference: Touhou Project - [Koishi (the person who killed Ben K during the team's first encounter with BreakMan GZ) is forgotten when the person with her looks away. She can be remembered permanently, but not through normal encounters with her.]{spoiler}
Robot Gyro: (Swift/Cutter) R.O.B. uses a spinner to rev up and release a flat, spinning top that slices the target, then spins on the ground for a while, leaving other opponents vulnerable to it until it stops spinning.
Reflector Arm: (Swift/Shield) A variant of Rotor Arm. The user spins their torso and arms, knocking away opponents with a few low-damage hits, and reflecting any projectiles in range with greater power than the original projectile (the multiplier starts at 1.8x, and grows along with the ability's power level).

As R.O.B. blazes past the Dying Grasps and Despair Pods, he turns to the horned(?) figure...
*beep* (Assistance would certainly be useful. The pun, less so.) Robo Beam: (Laser) The user fires a laser from their eyes. The move charges passively while it isn't used, reaching full charge after 20 seconds.

Shadow Digital, with his chestplate attachment preventing the Temporal Leakage from coming out of him, is recovering.
Well, I'm glad it has all been sorted out. I can't imagine what it must have been like to linger out there for so long... 
I'd have to agree. Well, if there's nothing else you all need from me, I shall be going for now.

Certainly easier said than done, but if you want something at least close...

..."Temporal Leakage"...and it's only coming from him? Correct. We just need a cure, and a way to prevent it from spreading again. A cure doesn't sound as out of reach as you'd think. No signs point to it being on the level of even the Coda Corruption, so even if Shadow Digital cannot undo it himself, it's a simple task finding someone who can. As for preventive measures... 
What?! No! You said you were- Volt Man, calm down. I have no intention of using Limited or its derivatives. Team Mecha may have invented these Adaptors to harness such power without letting it run amok, but in doing so, they also found a way to contain easily-spread viruses. If Rika and I can reverse-engineer the Adaptor technology, we might be able to create something that will keep Shadow Digital safe. Dark Arle, can we talk?

Because I can't, Dangan Man. Not even this machine can re-discover those lost events. All that remains are my own memories of it. 
...well, can you tell us what memories those were? ...I suppose it's the most I can do.
My Universe began with a fight. A fight between me and a boy who only went by "Double D". It seems he had two friends, "Ed" and "Eddy"...but I'm getting off-track. Just one Shadow Blade, and the boy was on the ground. He said he recognized me, and I recognized him. From "Mega Man 3"; in my world, both a game and a landmark in history. I told him that he helped Mega Man defeat me back when it happened, as a denial of his request to play video games with me...and that was it. Time stopped for both of us, and eventually the whole Omniverse came crashing down on our heads. I only ever truly knew one person in that world, and they were my enemy... But then I lingered. One way or another, I was left in the Void, with nowhere to go. I'm still in disbelief that I clung on for that long, but as I did, I learned new abilities, and re-shaped myself from the worlds I saw be born and die. 
Hmmh... (Why didn't Brash just get you?) Because he didn't see a need for me, Yoshi. Back when my world was around, Brash knew so little. "Gensokyo" was as foreign of a concept to him as it was to most of your world's Reapers. Maybe even more. The DOS robots, Fang the Sniper...even Gilgamesh was one of the many things he didn't learn until after he left me behind. But I hold nothing against him for leaving me behind. There was so much more for him to do in the next decade or so, and in the end, my world didn't even matter.
Shadow Digital returns Dyna's team and Dark Arle/Ecolo to the bunker. The only thing I have on my mind now is what to do with the curse the Void left me with.

Shadow Digital makes no effort to make Dark Arle's reveal a surprise.
Ecolo, it was me. What I meant was that I infected them by accident. Temporal Leakage follows me like a curse. That's why I told you to stay away; if you approached me, it would have affected you too. I don't know what spell you speak of, but it long predates you. ...what kind of person are you? A perfectly reasonable question. I'm not sure if I can give a perfect answer, but to provide as much as I can... 
...I'll need this. Wait, are you just going to do what Delta Dude did? ...not quite. But I certainly wish I could. In any case, let me show you.

What happened to your friends...that was indeed my doing. It's not a Nightmare Virus. It's Temporal Leakage. Hnngh! (So you're here to drop another all-powerful corruption on us?! Even with Regulus gone we have more than enough to worry about!) ...this isn't powerful at all. Temporal Leakage has no positive effects whatsoever. There's a reason why your friends are still down here, instead of wreaking havoc on the surface. Then why did you infect them?! And who are you?! ... To answer your first question...I had no intention of doing so. But even wandering beneath the earth, my presence affected your friends, and all I could do was bring them here to try and help them. Dr. Doppler is searching the surrounding area for Orange, Diddy Kong, Rho-volt Torch Man, and Sonic Man.
I can't seem to find any traces of them anywhere... Hmmmhh... (Hold on, what's that there?) ...that certainly wasn't there before. I'm suspicious that it's related to these recent disappearances... 
And I'm certain that it is! Come on, guys! ???

Quiet Forest
As Express Man prepares to go in for another hit on Express Man, he's hit by a Tornado Reversal, causing him to move around exactly as he had been for the past 3 minutes, but backwards!!
Now's our chance, dudes! Ow!!! That's not fair!!! Kid, you can count the things that are unfair around here on one hand! Tornado Reversal: (Wind/Time) The user flies in a circle so fast they create a tornado that damages anything it hits and inflicts them with Reverse.
New Nuclear Detonator Power Levels: ...Hyper, Ultra
Egg Toss: The user throws an egg in an arc that pops on contact or after traveling a certain distance.
Abyss Splash: The user creates a shadow on the ground, and a dark geyser of water erupts from it.
Reverse: A status effect. Causes the user to act as if time was going backwards for them for up to 10 minutes. If the target had used projectiles, their projectiles will reappear, move backwards in time, and hit them.
