MIDI: Unsurprisingly, I haven't really ever had a plane at my disposal, but I could fly anything I can plug into. Otherwise I guess I could pilot a smaller plane without having to look for a manual or something.

MIDI: What incident?
MIDI: (Crap. I just realized that I can't up and close Ivory's messed up portal anymore, I have to fix it up with no prior experience with it so that they can have a direct line of communication with their home world! Or, well, you'd assume the signal came through the portal like they did. AND I have to somehow get them back home in the flesh... eventually, I guess, they don't seem to be in a rush.)

MIDI: I guess with all the focus on space travel and colonization that's been going on from the middle of the 21st century, then the invention of Reploids, FTL travel and everything else nobody really bothered to make a new universal standard for connecting computers and spread it across multiple galaxies. Hell, for all I know, there could be USBs on Earth. ...given the year it is in your world, I assume you're from its Earth?
