You see...the reason for my sudden outburst is because of that self-proclaimed ruler of everything governor Banus. He has a history of using underhanded tactics including kidnapping to get his way. Since he was running low on funds, he passed a series of laws that would completely strip the land of whatever materials were left. Among these outlandish laws was one saying that all doctors and inventors had to turn over their materials for "the citizen's fund". As such you could see ho-
Focus Ivory focus. Listen. If you want to shut down the portal, you need to get to the tower itself and unhook the dimensional anchor from the base of the tower. Doing this should allow you to negate the chance of the overloading of the central power generator, which you'll have to disable less you wish for over 1000 tons of explosive power to turn the planet into a smoking crater. And even then, the only safe way to do it is to access an everchanging password system that was attached to the door that leads to the generators after that idiot Banus sent in his goons to try and take parts off of the radiator in the room. After the anchor and generator is disabled, you just need to reroute the backup power to a set of solar cells. Doing this should prevent any extra threats new and old from entering the portal. However, may I suggest that you do it during night so the solar cells have max efficiency. After all, everyone knows that solar cells around here have a tendency to absorb light even when off due to a factory fault.

What the!On instinct, Acorn lifts the book in the air to act as a shield as a grey talon strikes the book, leaving a crescent shaped cut.

As Acorn flips through the pages, he comes across a title called
PROGRAMING SENTIENT LIFE AND IT'S LIMITATIONS.
Hmph. This will be good for a laugh. Let's see what this author thought about us AI before technology truly took off.
To start, let's go over the basics. As you know, all programs must abide by the five laws of robotics if they want their machines to be deemed factory standard.
Number one: A robot must be able to understand it's ID number and understand that it is indeed a robot.
ID: 4231. And sure enough I'm made of microchips and steel. That checks me off.
Number two: A robot must have at least one set purpose in life. Creating a machine with no purpose has the potential for it to fall into the wrong crowd.
Well I have two so double check.
Number three: A machine MUST have some operator, doctor, or director to order them around. Otherwise whatever they set out to do will have a high chance of failure and decrease their overall happiness.
And that's a negative for me and I feel fine. Besides, the government tells us machines what to do and their miserable, so that's a bust. Next.
Number four: It must be made clear to the machine that no machine has a truly free will of its own compared to most organic lifeforms with an S.I.A of 6 or above and it simply relies upon pre-automated process thru pre-built personalities. Failure-

Grabbing it back out of the trashcan, he cleans any dirt that got onto it before placing it back into the bookcase. As he does so, he spots a book on ancient combat tactics.

Sure enough, the code works, allowing Acorn into the Library. Strangely, the lights in this room refused to turned on but thankfully the windows leading to the outside world radiate the room. Before the door even fully opens on its own, Acorn rushes into the library and runs to a bookcase, eyes darting to see all the titles. As the library door opens completely, a loud sound echoes through the room.
At first, nothing but static is heard from the satellite dish. However, the static then stops for a second only to start back up. The breaks of static seem randomized and yet uniformed at the same time...

After traversing a hole in the floor, Acorn finally reaches his destination: The Library. Acorn tries to open the door but finds it locked. Acorn weighs his options before deciding to operate a nearby terminal.
A message pops up on one of MIDI's computers.

Glass pulls out the Manti Katti from it's scarab. Doing this causes the blade to radiate in the dark.

Okay...so I needed to talk to you not in private not because of the situation with Meddy...but with you. I think you've been granted an opportunity of a lifetime. With that suit, you can potentially be able to punch holes in mountains, lift giants, and even wreck the strongest of tanks.
BUT! What good is that strength if it's unguided and untempered? You gutpuched Gyro causing him to kneel over. With the proper guidance, you could of sent him flying. What I'm trying to say is that if you simply stay with me and direct your power at those that wish to cause harm, you can do all those things.
And that "wish to cause harm aspect" is the second reason why I needed to talk to you. You see...that temper of yours...could get you, your squad, even Meddy killed. Save for attacking Gyro and getting upset at the mention of a keyword, I understand you haven't done anything worth berating you over. I fear that if something happens that no one would get a chance to berate you. The chances of this happening are next to none, but one misstep could equal an disaster that you can't afford.
