The Netherworld? I can't even call that quaint. 
Hah! (What, like you're a big deal?!) As a matter of fact, I am. You have friends from Gensokyo, do you not? Recently, something happened in its Former Hell*. Quite a concept, wouldn't you say? A Hell deemed obsolete, replaced by a new one. And yet, it wasn't the first time. Indeed, I am from such a Hell. A Hell that was forgotten as soon as a single scarlet devil entered the scene†... Since that day, eighteen years ago†, I have sworn to fight for the original Hell of Gensokyo, and for those whose names faded from history just the same as- 
Less talking and more doing would be great. Cyber Crossswipe: (Space/Cutter) The user slashes their weapons in an X formation, unleashing waves of digital energy.

†Reference: Touhou series - The sixth game (Embodiment of Scarlet Devil), released in 2002, was a soft reboot of the series; while the first five games are considered (mostly) canon, they're rarely acknowledged in later games; the first game (Highly Responsive to Prayers, Konngara's only appearance) gets possibly the least acknowledgement of any.
(OOC: I only have a vague understanding of the Disgaea series; wouldn't be surprised if I end up learning more from this, though. It happened with Boktai.)

Well, I could hear the thing from...somewhere*, but it wasn't any more coherent than what we heard here. Pretty sure it's not as intelligent as someone from Dimension 2. Not to mention it probably wasn't in the best condition to remain on its own anyway. TM07 is a big problem, so I'm going to make sure they forget it next chance I get. Honestly, we're lucky it didn't use TM07 before we got here. Still probably going to have to be careful who I talk to.

'M FF nearly flinches from the Blast Finger, and raises its claw...
Oh no. Time rewinds to just before 'M FF landed the attack, and Shadow Digital slices it with a Temporal Blade before it can!!
That was way too close... TM07: (Shadow) The user slashes the opponent, dealing a random amount of damage andandandandandandandandandandand
Temporal Blade: (Time/Cutter) The user throws a purple shuriken, dealing damage and potentially lowering the target's Speed.

*BUZZ* 'M FF proceeds to strike Yoshi with a Slam, and the hooded figure with a TM50!!!
Spear Copter: (Cutter/Wind) The user twirls their spear above their head, allowing them to fly while dealing rapid damage to any opponents above them.
Slam: (Neutral) The user slams the opponent with an appendage; usually a tail.
TM50: (TYPE DATA CORRUPTED) The user smacks the opponent up to five times.

Bandanna Dee and R.O.B. both turn around, prepared to fight or stand down depending on the Monking's actions.
R.O.B.'s eyes also glow blue; not as a light source, but as a means of silent communication with the Chordroid*.
As much as freeing him from blindness may be ideal at some point, doing so now will only cause more confusion; do remember that he still believes Bandanna Dee is one of his own, and may not even know you, Mighty or I are present.
The Halberd - Control Room (at Dueling Peaks)
Meta Knight has been rendered speechless by the news regarding Rumia. Dedede, on the other hand...
Meta Knight, you trained her t' square off 'gainst Regulus. In a Cruel Melee, no less†. But all it took was a tournament match - one where killing wasn't even allowed - and now she's in horrible shape. Just think about dat for a sec. Think about what Regulus would've done to her with your high an' mighty training if any of us had to get involved. Ah know ahm not as good a fighter as you. Heck, da Smash 4 tourney was some of my worst moments eva. But even someone like you who could shape the meta needs to 'memba dere's more to fighting den how strong you are. 'M FF tries to Fly into Yoshi and Shadow Digital, but they dodge just before the unstable behemoth makes impact!!
Hah! (So what are we supposed to do?) Hope for the best. 'M FF only takes notice of Digital, and in the blink of an eye it strikes him with a critical Karate Chop!!
Fly: (Wind) The user flies in the air, then swoops down at the opponent.
Karate Chop: (Neutr-OUTDATED, UPDATING TO NEW TYPE DATA-‡
Karate Chop: (Impact) The user attacks with a sharp chop, with a high chance of landing a critical hit.
*Reference: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - R.O.B. units are shown with glowing blue eyes when communicating silently with each other in the Subspace Emissary cutscene "The Countdown Will Not Stop".

Rumia is resting in one of the lab's beds, still unconscious, with Rika and Dr. Doppler making sure they help her recover.
Chunky Kong meekly walks up to the two.
W-will friend Rumia be okay?? 
Well, she hasn't sustained any permanent injuries... 
...but that was a nasty hit she took while fighting Kahtos. Even with the Yaschichi I had, and even with what we were able to get to speed up her recovery with some of the Zenny provided, it's gonna be a little while until she's ready to be up and about again. 
*snif* I was scared *snif* it was gonna happen...I told her *hic* she might get hurt...

As he heads to the northwest exit of the forest, his eyes set on returning to the Brash Crew, the shadowy figure reappears above him.
And just where are you going? Hmmh... (I'm going back to Doppler Labs.) Hmh! (I thought you and this island would be the most of my worries for a while. But Rumia's hurt, and it's long overdue that I actually do something for one of my teammates.) Perhaps you misunderstood my question. You're not going anywhere until you've faced me. Hrrngh! (What's wrong with you?! I just want to help my-) *sigh* (Well, I wasn't going to let this drag on anyway...) *Diddy Kong already knew and came to the lab, because he knew Donkey Kong was in the tournament.

As the crew worries for Rumia's wellbeing, a small handful also worry about her ribbon...
...please tell me she doesn't have that "EX" power*... She doesn't...but that "ribbon" is supposed to seal something... ...I just don't know how she or the tourney's going to handle it. *A common Touhou fan concept is that if Rumia's ribbon (actually a kind of paper seal) is removed, she becomes a stronger, older version of herself called "EX Rumia".

Despite the white energy's non-damaging nature, its brightness causes the photosensitive Rumia to drop to the ground and stagger for a moment...before unleashing another Black Thunder, its power multiplied to insane degrees by the sheer number of cannonballs!!!
