So, Albert. What exactly does it mean to give a robot a "soul"?
Alright, I suppose I've been all over the place with the definition of a soul, and how Evil Energy affects it.
Long ago, as you know, me and Thomas were making the first Robot. That would be Proto Man. However, even before that...The thought that plagued us was how to give a robot feelings. How to have it learn from experiences, how to change, how to BE...Human.
We eventually developed the IC chip. Now, you've most likely used this chip in your robots, as that is what gives them personality. That is also how they LEARN from experiences as well. Now, take the core as well. The Robot Core is one of the most important parts of a robot. That is, in a way, it's heart. It regulates power, sends oil throughout the body, and most importantly, the living essence to a robot. The Core and IC chip are, together, the thing that differentiates robots of now from robots of before. Robots before could not feel or experience, they could ONLY do actions. Much like Bass.L. In a way, the Core is a heart, and the I.C Chip feelings. Thus, it is what makes a robot live and feel. Much like souls, for us humans.
That's interesting.
Now that I told you something, tell me what you've found out about Evil Energy.
Alright, I suppose I could share the fruits of my results.
Evil Energy was originally thought to be a power source. However, your and Thomas's findings were far off. I only wish you were right. As it turns out, Evil Energy is more of a parasite than anything. It wants to take complete control of it's host. It infects this "soul" of yours, the IC chip and Core, and it infects the body. It wants to take control, and spread. It slowly infects the core and feelings, twisting the truth of reality. For example, had you have been infected by Evil Energy, I could say Good day, Albert! However, the Evil Energy would twist my words, and make you hallucinate. It would make you paranoid, make every word an offense, make every action a declaration of war.
I find that offensive! Are-Are you challenging me, Mikhail?!
Haha, so funny, Albert.
That was a good one, you should've seen the look on your face!
Pay attention. In this moment of weakness from the host, the energy WILL infect you completely. A pure-hearted, innocent being could be warped into a pure-dark monster, with no regard in his heart, or core, for a robot's case. They will become pure-evil. I still regret putting that demonic power into Skull Man. I know he could handle it due to his nature, but that energy will work in ways you could never expect. I could never imagine the horrors Skull Man has to deal with, containing it. I hope it doesn't warp his mind...
At least we can put it into Bass.L with no risks.
Risks come with rewards, Albert. We cannot put nearly as much Evil Energy in Bass.L as I did Skull Man. Evil Energy NEEDS something to infect. A small dose of it on a robot with no soul won't do much, it will simply live inside the robot as a colony. However, too much of it with nothing to infect? The Evil Energy will get frantic, and it's molecules will move faster, to the point of light-speed. However, it is highly explosive, as you can recall. So, friction eventually starts playing a part on the Evil Energy molecules that rub together. It WILL create a spark, and the spark will catch all of it on fire. Give it a few more seconds, and-
Boom?
Yes, Albert, Boom. That isn't the worst part though. The Evil Energy will be released from it's prison, and be spread through the air. It will eventually spread until it finds a new host. Last time, Duo managed to stop it from spreading, but he's not here this time...So, it's either give a lifeless robot a small amount, and it doesn't go boom, or give a robot with a soul a large dose, and hope it doesn't go crazy.
Wait...The Evil Energy can turn it's host into pure evil? And this enemy of ours brain-washes through the evil in a soul? It's clear now, why this Master wants Evil Energy.
Careful with the Evil Energy, Mikhail...One screw-up, and we'll all be sent sky-high.
I think I know with I'm working with here, Albert...Although, you should know more. *chuckles*
Haha, very funny....
I wish you had brought your equipment with you, Albert. Nothing here seems to help well with the transfer from Evil Energy to starforce.
Even MY stuff takes a while...
Finally! Prepare to be scrapped, doctors!
Who's there? Reveal yourself!
You would think you would know....Since you created my father, Doctor!
It is I, Spring Head Jr!
Pff....Hohohohohoho!
*snort*Hehehe! Now, that is funny, my boy!
Oh? Would you find it so funny, if I sent out a signal to all my comrades? I am a high-ranking mecha general, of the Mecha-portion of the Master's army.
It's surprisingly less funny now. Congrats, you're the guy who ruins the joke.
Oh...Albert's just playing with you, isn't that right, Albert? Please don't take offense, and please don't call a thousand mechas to storm us...Pretty please?
Shame for you, Mikhail. You've never tried anything until you have a met massage.
Hello there! Is that a nice supply of premium Evil Energy for me? I'll gladly take it.
Ugh, where are those guards when you need them? Shadow Man and SOAKSTGR are probably off, playing tiddily-winks again.
At least I still have that secret robot that I keep hidden. I think it was once I say the words "LB program, track and teleport Dr. Wily", it activates and goes and does just that. Too bad I didn't say it yet...Oh wait.
First off, that is such a terrible idea to have a secret robot respond to your words-
You are speaking to Albert, after all. This isn't his craziest idea.
This isn't looking good for-
Albert! Bringing THAT robot here...He'll trash the place!
Don't worry, Albert, this one doesn't have a personality! He does whatever I say! He's also not as powerful, and his copy chip's a bit unstable. May I formally introduce....Bass.Legacy!
What are your orders, doctor?
Like I said, this was a prototype of the original Bass, but I didn't get time to put in a personality, which also means he doesn't have a soul.
Doesn't have a soul...Which means he can't be corrupted by Evil Energy!
Cossack, you're not as stupid as I thought! Quickly, let's shove this evil energy stuff in his power core!
Maybe not TOO quickly, Wily...We are working with a highly-explosive energy here..
Yeah, I get it....Just hand me that part on the counter.
