PlugMan: Broooooooo! It's been ages! What's up?

PlugMan greets each of the bros, though it probably winds up a little awkward with the kind of disgruntled SonicMan. Jerry also says hi, though he doesn't know the trio as well as his Navi does.

PlugMan: So, the big man outside landed us a job at SciLab!
Jerry: Yeah, it's not much, just an internship, but it's a start! If you get into SciLab, the opportunities are endless, right?
PlugMan: Yeah! We were actually just headed to the Undernet on an errand from this archivist guy who probably hasn't busted a virus in his life. Anyway, what brings you guys to town?

SheepMan is still digging through the source code of the virus to find differences from both a regular GelPack and the weird Undernet4-connected one.

During some boring paper pushing...

RING RING RING RING RING RING

PlugMan: Hey, Jerry? Someone's calling.

RING RING RING RING RING RING

Jerry: No kidding. Pick it up, will ya?

SheepMan: Hello? Did I reach Mr.Harriet and PlugMan? This is SheepMan, we met earlier when I took those viruses in for analysis.
PlugMan: That's still kinda rude. What's up?
SheepMan: I have a favor to ask of you. You see, I pinpointed the source of the viruses' power to scale in strength to somewhere in Undernet 4, but I'm... well, less than suited for that trip. Would you mind going over there and looking into it?
Jerry: I dunno, that sounds pretty dan-What's in it for us?
SheepMan: Er, not only would it look good on your resume, but I'll make sure it's worth your while in more ways than that! I do have access to some rather vintage chips, for instance.

PlugMan and Jerry stare at each other for a few seconds, one enthusiastic, the other reluctant but still curious. In sync, they reply:

Deal.
SheepMan: Thanks. I owe you. If you're going to the Undernet, the fastest way from here is through End Area. Also, if you're in a pinch, feel free to call me! I can decrypt some puzzle-based roadblocks or send you some better chips if need be.

PlugMan heads out of SciLab Area into
Den Area,

though after his initial enthusiasm for an Undernet heist settled his pace has gotten a bit slower.
SheepMan returns to analyzing the strange grey GelPack.

Suddenly, mail.
From: epichacker69@hotmail.com
To: phineas.regal@sci.lab
Subject: Security System
The system itself is running like clockwork, but we came across some weird GelPacks hidden inside *blue* mystery data. When PlugMan offed one of them, the others immediately rose to level 2 and the deleted one came back as a buggy EX variant! SheepMan can tell you more, he took them in for analysis.

-J.Harriet

SheepMan's Office

...Well, to be frank, it's just a cozily decorated spot in a seldom used area of the SciLab Archive Server. Either way, SheepMan and the three encapsulated viruses are here. He makes himself comfortable on his floating cloud and gives the viruses a good stare. Well, it looks like staring to the untrained eye, but in reality he's literally reading through the code of all three viruses at once and comparing it to the source code of all the members of the baseline GelPack family.

Jerry has PlugMan go in for another TomaHawk... which is blocked by a strange barrier between him and the viruses.

Jerry: ayo what
PlugMan: Bruh.
???: My, these are some strange specimens. Probably the most interesting read I've had on my hands this month!

Pairs of strange nodes seemingly generate barriers around each of the anomalous GelPacks which are then promptly picked up from the ground. The Navi responsible steps closer to them.

PlugMan: Hey, what gives?! I was handling them just fine!

The other Navi then turns to PlugMan.

???: I don't doubt that, but I'd prefer not having to piece them together from BugFrags for analysis. Besides, the way they were brought here poses a significant security breach, and that's way above your pay grade as interns so why worry about it?
Jerry: Wait, how did you-
???: Oh! I suppose introductions are in order!

The Navi looks towards the direction Jerry is viewing the commotion from, making his emblem shaped like the SciLab logo and worn like an oversized pin on the left hand side of his dark green, seemingly woolen dress vest with golden highlights more obvious. Equally woolen is his rather unconventionally colored pink, fluffy hair around which two horn-like nodes float.

???: I'm SheepMan, senior data analyst and head of the Archival Department. It's my job to know stuff.
SheepMan: Anyway, I should probably get these analyzed ASAP.

Not waiting for the awkward and mostly confused "see ya" and "bye" from Jerry and PlugMan to end, SheepMan summons a large woolen cloud, sits on it and flies across the SciLab intranet, the encapsulated viruses being dragged just behind him.

Chord enters the train too, pushing past Amadeus after a half-hearted handshake that mostly just served as enough contact time to subtly copy his weapon, if he has one that's copiable.

MIDI appears worried, but brushes it off.

I, uh- we were gonna head over to Woe's to see if we can get together some weaponry for...
I guess a preemptive counterattack or something! Strike them before they strike us, that kinda deal!
...Does that sound reasonable enough? I have experience in many things but military strategy ain't one of 'em.

Jerry: Hold on. That thing's namespace is empty, but its color... Don't tell me it suddenly became an EX virus!
PlugMan: I dunno, man, but viruses don't just spontaneously power up like that. Something's fishy here.
PlugMan hits the monochrome GelPack with a DolThdr1!
PlugMan.EXE Status: OK 400
DolThdr1120dmg(Elec): Fire a piercing thunderbolt down the entire row!

Jerry and PlugMan: What the fu-
Suddenly, they enter Full Synchro conveniently at the same time for the sound effect to drown out the rest of the swear.Either way, PlugMan baits another GelPack2 into a TomaHawk, this time trying to nail the timing to keep the fullsync.

PlugMan easily evades the beam, using the opportunity to nail another GelPack with a shock from his plug buster, which he extended to taze it with a similarly oversized cord from his forearm!
PlugMan's Charge Shot ElecPlug(Elec, Cursor): Medium charging time. Extends a plug up to 5 panels away(longer distance takes more time, obviously), striking the target with a medium-damage paralyzing shock. May or may not have a secondary use.
By the way, ch4s3, there is no such thing as a Fridge Network or AC Network. There are only Comp areas within each individual appliance which either need to be accessed directly via the fridge or AC or whatever or through the internet, in this case through the ACDC Area, which would no doubt also freeze up ACDC Area too.

Battle Start!

♫ Battle Theme ~ Mega Man Battle Network 4.5 - Battlefield(BN5DS Arrangement)

PlugMan: Ugh, these bastards. Chips, please!
Jerry: Chips!

Chips.

One by one, PlugMan stands in front of the GelPacks, luring them out to take a peek at which point he nails them with a returning TomaHawk!
TomaHawk(Wood): Can either go down one row then backwards(returning) or do an U-turn around the battlefield when it hits the back row(curved).
Fun fact: In Shanghai.EXE, Wood-type chips do not cause invincibility frames.

PlugMan's left hand transforms into what appears to be an oversized jack-in port(even more useless as it is inside the Cyberworld) as the plugs around his head begin sparking. With the other hand he reaches out to analyze the mystery data.
