Double clicking the screen does bring up the keyboard controls. And yes, I did try playing DBZ:BF and I was able to start a new game with X. Not sure why it isn't.

Think Wii/3DS/etc. Virtual Console. When you play a game, a key on your keyboard is equal to a controller button.

I believe the default setting is

A button = X
B Button = Y
L Button = A
R Button = S
Start Button = Enter
Select Button = ???

Try pushing X and see what happens
