Last time I wore this, I was giving the shrine maiden a little...tour of my Extra Stage*. Figured it'd be appropriate to put it on again while getting ready for something even harder to vanquish.
Wait, did the shrine maiden get vanquished or the Extra Stage?
Uh...what's that?
High-intensity Ludovico technique. The normal kind takes a special medicine and two weeks, so I made a two-hour version with just the important stuff. If anything messy happens out there, I can skip the panicking and get straight to the helping.
Hmph. You'd think someone would have at least cleaned this place-
And who the heck are-
Nope.
...
Well, first thing we know; we're not using the simulations*. Those were based on what had been faced before, and even if the power creep didn't cause that plan to backfire then, it would now.
Second. We will be using those artifacts, but not only will we - as in, those of us who can respond immediately - be using them, we won't be relying on them. If Beta Diablo can knock Beta Shadow out of Ultra Instinct, he can definitely knock physical objects out of us. We need strength that can stick with us.
Third, we need something to counter planet-killers. Not having something like that is another reason Regulus didn't work out for us, and I have every doubt in the world that just stacking our shields like we did back then is going to work. Heck, I'd be surprised if it worked back then.
An' fourth. We gotta figure out how t' do all dis togetha. We done tried havin' one guy set up most o' da trainin' before, an', well...
...if we wanna 'void dat problem again, we gotta talk 'mongst us.
No more numbered stats. We're not gonna be spectators this time.
I know you're here to talk, Brash. Just say it.
Be more concise, please.
In all fairness, the master post has always said that the Chaos Zone could be perfectly prone to ending, so long as Beta Devil was destroyed. And Beta Shadow has every right to do so; the Trio of Origin may have been reduced to decoration, but he has the power to end this roleplay.
Reasonable enough. But Regulus was defeated, and-
Brash, let your characters do the job. If things don't work out, we move on. It's as simple as that, and you're just making it sound more complex because you're bitter about something you probably won't even lose.

My name is Libra. My main mission is..complicated, but a secondary one involves explaining why details such as what Sabata said about being a battery shouldn't apply at all.
...
Ah, yeah, right. Here ya go.
So, uh...need anythin' else?
Honestly, as much as I wasn't paying attention back then, I still remembered bits and pieces of what went on there when I was reminded about it.
...which was because I reminded him, since there was something that seemed important to tell him because he was figuring things out anyway*.
As for how I know all this...to tell the truth, I'm not sure. I've just kinda figured out how to know these things for a while.
...Dyna, I've been to almost as many parts of this Omniverse as you* and I still have no idea what the fuss is about.
I'll explain later if there is a-
No, I think we can explain now.
So, uh...gonna start this off simple; these aren't the same DOS robots you saw back in the other Universe. One of them's actually the Ryu wannabe who showed up for a split second†.
Dyna, this doesn't make any-
Quiet. Someone's here, and something tells me they're gonna want our heads the second they find us.
Even if whatever on Earth you're saying is accurate at all, it would help if you told us who "they" are.
I would if I could, but honestly, I don't know. I just know I've been in a Universe with them before, and they're gonna come in and mistake me for another me. Us for another us.*
... (I'm prepared to find us an ideal route once we have entered the base.)
Mighty, get ready to assist with the door.
Well, this is the place!
Look, I don't know what nonsense you're trying to pull to butter me up, but I'm telling you right now it won't-
Calm down. She's with us.
Wait, didn't I see you guys on...
Oh, that's right! From the experiments!
To tell the truth, I'm still rather confused about the magician's plans...
AGREED. TELL US MORE!
Of course. You see, I found that plenty of people, including you four, were left to yourselves from a shared conflict: the HEX. None of you seemed much closer to solving the problem on your own, so of course I wanted to give you some strength in numbers!
To tell the truth, you were far from the only I contacted on the matter. I talked to a recent colleague, as well as two of the other experiments, but they were...less interested. In fact, two of the three seemed opposed to it.
I doubt you're all intent on staying together that often, hence why everyone has a trip back!
Well, that's all on my end. I hope you know what to do from here!
Wait, what? You aren't staying?
Not a chance. I simply wanted to help a few in need, is all; I'm not the greatest magician for a scheduled performance. Farewell!
Well, uh...I need to keep check on the Square for now. But hey, if we need a group meeting, I'll be there.
Reasonable, for sure. We'll be ready for then, uh-
...you know, we never caught your name.
Name's Silver Sonic II. Don't get me confused with the first.
You'd think they came from two different people just hearing both for a minute each...
Sorry to interrupt your routine, good sir, but-
Eggman's robots again?!
Now, now, let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's been a good two or three years since I've listened to the doctor*. I'm here to help.
Two or three...wait, what†?
You do remember the eight others you were grouped with during the nonsense with the HEX Adaptors, don't you?
...enough that I don't remember you being a part of it.
I suppose you'll need to see for yourself. Don't worry, I'll give you a trip back!
You feel good about that one?
Yeah!! That was awesome!!
Nice. Well, that's all the Spell Cards you were working on, let's get back to the lab before the crew gets worried again.
...so, how are we gonna know when these work? I mean, on someone I need them for?
Probably next time someone like that shows up.
Wouldn't we just have to look? Couldn't we just do that right now?
I mean, we could. But I don't think we should.
Why not? If there's more people, it's more help, isn't it?
You'd think so, yeah. Thing is, sometimes you don't know if everyone's ready for you...
...and sometimes if you're caught up with that, you're too busy to work on something else if it shows up in the meantime. And it's not easy to just leave in the middle of a fight.
Sure, there's a lot of crazy stuff going on, but it's good to know whose crazy stuff it is. Sometimes others are ready for a helping hand, sometimes it's personal.
That sounds like waiting...
Kind of is. But hey, when the time comes, we're ready. And now we don't have to leave you out of it.
Man, it's quiet since that whole freakout with that thing that got shoved over my shoulders.
I mean, not that it's a bad thing, but-
...the heck?
Hey, hold on!!
... (That might work. Though, I do worry about where we'd find such technology...)
What if we used one of those Copy Essences? Like the one with the Mini ability*?
... (I'm unsure how that would work...but then again, the ship did adjust to the Love-Love Stick in its Reactor rather easily.)
Given this isn't the first, or even second time the Halberd has been able to adjust to a foreign power source, I suppose it's not out of the question. In fact, the first time did involve a machine capable of inheriting Copy Abilities†, which may actually increase our chances.
Well, we won't know if we don't try!
Again, we'll be returning to Mighty's initial idea.
No problem, mates. I got in just fine, I can get out, too.
By the way, just so ya know: it's half-wolf and half-jerboa, not weasel.
Well, you know what they say; third time's the charm.
Of course, they also like to keep assigning "the charm" to higher or lower numbers, but whatever.
Wait, did I...?
Yay!
That's one down. Remind me again; how many skills did you find?
Six. You know where we find those empty Spell Card thingies that Daiyousei had before she put things on them?
...
Well, I made a promise.
I fully understand. In fact, I was more prepared to shut them down out of the expectation that they were, indeed, hostile.
If anything they say falls out of reasonable negotiation, we are returning to Mighty's original plan immediately.
