Mega City

Metal Sonic, Saktira CC, Crescendo, Express Man, Reverse Man, and Demyx all shoot a disapproving glare at Choice Man when he mentions the hand amputation.
Looks like you're the one who's wearing the armor, Mr. "my only reaction to everything is quoting that one JonTron scene".

Beanbean Kingdom - Stardust Fields

Having fired 84 consecutive Homing Vulcans, something grows within Dangan Man as he fires the 85th...
Dangan Man hits the target with a Shadow Runner!
Dangan Man's Swift power increased!
Was that...?!
Excellent! Simply by focusing, you've discovered a new ability!
Of course, you must choose your specialty wisely; maybe one day you will Advance more types, but even just one takes time!
As Dangan Man steps away, several more targets appear on the cliffs. Most of the Brash Crew is able to work on focusing and Advancing their abilities at the same time now.
Before Sonic Man steps up, he finally responds to the Parallel Aeons.
Just continue northeast from here and you'll reach the Mushroom Kingdom.

Shadow Runner: (Shadow/Swift) An ability learned from Advancing Homing Vulcan. Dangan Man fires a dark crescent projectile that homes in on all nearby opponents, then returns to him.

Wh-we were just trying to kill each other!
I ain't dealing with her. Guard Hound, you go...screw around, or whatever.
Tox Man moves 2 spaces west.
...
Guard Hound moves 4 spaces south, then uses a Buster Charge on himself.

Mega City
I mean...as long as he's got the blueprints, we might as well check 'em, right?

Beanbean Kingdom - Stardust Fields
So, you've got some sorta plan to spice up our kits?
You'd be quite surprised! The key to victory lies within the powers you already have!
Sonic Man, you said these guys would-
Hold your tongue, Dyna Man, sir! For there is something within your arsenals you never knew before...
...wait, what?
Indeed! We've been told you rarely have time to focus on your attacks...
What do you mean? Don't we just...you know, use them?
Not so! For if you focus as you use your moves...
...your ability will eventually Advance! And even if these abilities of yours lack the bond of teamwork*, the understanding normally shared between a duo may be harnessed as one that affects multiple abilities of similar nature!
The Starshade Bros. walk up to RX, General standing on Sergeant's head.
For example, you! Return iX! Sir! You wield a blade known as the Heliotrope†, do you not?
If you put enough focus into that blade enough times, not only will it improve the power of your Heliotrope, but even other bladed attacks you may possess!
On each of the two cliffs the Starshade Bros. appeared between, a target appears.
Let's not waste any more time! Let's see how you Advance your abilities!
Dangan Man steps up to one target, readying his Homing Vulcan ability, while Schmitt and Shadow Digital approach the other and prepare their Energy Slice and Temporal Blade, respectively. Enough space is left next to Dangan for RX to focus on an ability of his choice as well.
*Reference: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - The concept of an "Advance" ties back to "Advanced Commands" ("Super Attacks" in the 3DS remake), which are formed from using Bros. Attacks (attacks that involve participation from both Mario and Luigi), with Advanced Commands giving each Bros. Attack a new attribute.
†See Page 286, Post #2.

(OOC: I mean, a blank is also something you can fire that gives the effect of shooting regular ammo but without any actual projectiles; it isn't quite what you meant either but I digress)
End of Time - Spekkio's Room

Fang, Suwako, and Orange are the final three to step up.
Mega City
How did you even find blueprints in a future hellscape?
...Crescendo makes a good point, actually. There's a reason why we retreated from that future without any actual progress.

???

The mechanical members of the Brash Crew (alongside Dark Elf, 'M FF, and RX) find themselves in a purple, rocky region...
So, S-Man, who're we up against?
...nobody, actually. You see, the rest of the team found a realm with someone who specialized in teaching magic.
Since, again, our nature doesn't allow magic to come to us easily*, we needed to find ourselves a different way to improve the skills we have.
Sonic Man turns to a star-shaped hole in the ground, with a yellow hatch covering it...
So I contacted two brothers who specialize in techniques we can learn in their place. Normally they're interested in higher-profile figures and close sibling duos, but with the oncoming threat, they made an exception...
The hatch opens, and sure enough, two figures rise out of it...
General Starshade! Sir! I have confirmed the presence of eighteen - no, nineteen unique figures!
Hmm! Yes! Sighting confirmed! Our clients, right on schedule!
The Starshade Bros. - General Starshade (Red) and Sergeant Starshade (Green)
Advanced Commanders
They're more important than they look, I swear.

*Once again, referring to robots having "artificial souls" (and even if someone hypothetically disproves this it probably wouldn't change Spekkio's capabilities)

Mega City

Express Man's stance calms after Choice Man's surprisingly calm response. Reverse Man also calms himself...sort of.
Mega City Train Station

As Mack bounds up miles in the air, Metal Sonic rises to his level!
I'm growing tired of runts like you who think they can just get whatever they want by walking alone to their death.
Says the rusted rat who hangs out with those "runts"!
There's a big difference, Mack. We're not going to stick together for long, but we're doing it now because we know what's good for us.
With a barrage of claw swipes and a Thrash Metal Laser, Mack is sent flying over the horizon as Metal slowly drops to the ground.
I've wasted enough time alone as is.
Metal Sonic sets course back to the tower where the rest of his temporary team is waiting.

7,300 EXP gained.
Metal Sonic reaches Level 15.

Mega City

After a moment of waiting, Saktira CC walks up to Choice Man and shakes his hand.
Well, I guess we're pleased to meet you as well.
Reverse Man chuckles awkwardly at Saktira's comment, while Express Man turns his head away in a similar gesture*.
End of Time - Spekkio's Room

As Kogasa, Daiyousei, and Kanako stand in front of Spekkio, one last figure runs into the room...
*huff* *huff* Sorry...dropped my baton...I'm not late, am I?

Level 1

The Halberd (at Doppler Labs)

Hearing Martin's proposal, Meta Knight steps into ship to talk with him.
I think I speak for everyone in the Brash Crew - everyone who's ready to make rational decisions, anyway - when I say that we're unsure how to view your army at the moment.
Grey Matter was a high priority because its origins were familiar to Bandanna Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and I, and its practices over your army were familiar to R.O.B.
But as its own entity, we'd like to avoid close affiliation with the UKR, be it positive or negative. Even if Beta Diablo wasn't preparing to strike, such a connection feels like it'd be inappropriate; we have motives of our own, and we'd like to avoid disagreements with you regarding what little public image we have.

Doppler Labs

After healing up and letting RX recover from exhaustion, the robots of the Brash Crew prepare to enter the next portal, with R.O.B. now among them.
Mega City Train Station

Mack hops off the tracks and unleashes a series of Drains on Metal Sonic, who blocks to no avail!
You know, this is a waste of time for both of us.
Oh, I wouldn't say that!
Mack leaps up, trying to crash down on Metal, only to receive another kick to the face!
Nothing's done us any good, and it never will; better that one of us strikes the other down, gets the goods, and uses 'em to take on Beta Diablo!
As Mack fires up a Mega Drain, Metal Sonic raises his Fire Shield!
If you still think you can face Beta Diablo like that, you deserve what's coming.

Drain: (Flame) The user shoots a small fireball at the target. Deals low damage, but cannot be blocked.
Mega Drain: (Flame/Laser) The user fires a beam of searing energy at the target. Cannot be blocked.
*Recap: Reverse Man has a rocky relationship with his brothers for being treated like a kid (which he is, but I digress), and Express Man faced Choice Man on less positive terms after Primetime Gemini's tournament was cut short, where he objected to Choice's attempt at using the resulting poor publicity of Gemini TV to boost his own network's publicity.

Mega City

Reverse Man turns to the STILL unknown figure with a bright face.
It was the BEST! I think I almost died but then Demyx pulled out his sitar, and there was water everywhere, and-
Okay, I think we get the picture.
Express Man turns to Demyx.
...I assume Reverse Man's talking about you?
Yep. Just don't ask for a Q&A*, I don't have the time for that.

Mega City Train Station

Mack's head springs in every direction as he dodges energy blasts from Metal Sonic!
Konngara told me about idiots like you†!
Like, come on, getting squished because someone screamed like a cowboy too loud? Finding all that fancy shiny stuff just to die‡? I don't even think you're the real Sonic!
Mack finds his metallic skull being forced still by Metal Sonic's claw.
It's not about which one of us came first, Mack. It's about which one of us deserves the title.
So you're just proving I'm right, then?
Metal kicks Mack right in the face, his body dragging along the train tracks!
*(OOC: Seriously, if they have to do with his franchise, please don't ask.)
†Recap: Mack made his debut in a subplot during the Grey Matter storyline, where he and two others were recruited by Konngara (Touhou 1: Highly Responsive to Prayers) to attack Dinosaur Land.
‡See Page 90, Post #13 and...well, Metal Sonic during the Regulus Arc in general.

It's not like it's even something I can use against anyone, because THE MOVE DEALS ZERO-
BARK!
*sigh* Fine, I'll shut it.
After his little...outburst, Tox Man moves 1 space west, then 1 north. Guard Hound moves 2 spaces west.

End of Time - Spekkio's Room

Gilgamesh proudly walks up to Spekkio. Shrugging, Sanae and King Dedede follow suit.
Mega City Train Station

Metal Sonic sits on one of the station's benches, thoughts stirring in his head...
...only to be interrupted by a Flame Ball to the face!
Y'know, it's your fault you're like this!
I don't know what you're talking about. And neither do you.
Don't play dumb, Robo-hog!
I saw what you tried, and I think it's my turn to blast a chump!
As Metal tries to retreat, Mack bounces after him, unleashing a Flame Wall!

??? (Time Left - 0:05)

After what felt like hours (and almost was, technically), a finishing group strike topples the Absolute Virtue!!!
*huff* *huff* Holy smokes...
The DOSBots deactivate their Supercharges.
*weak quack*
Sorry things got a bit rough, pal; we're heading back to the lab now, and I'll make sure to give you the berries instead of those weird spray things*.
After we heal ourselves, we should rest for a moment before returning; Beta Diablo may not give us any breaks when he comes, but that's no excuse to purposefully weaken ourselves.
A portal back to Doppler Labs opens, and the Brash Crew heads through it, leaving it open just long enough for RX to pass through as well.

'M FF reaches Level 249!
Shadow Digital reaches Level 20!
Dyna Man reaches Level 18!
Volt Man and Dangan Man reach Level 16!
Sonic Man, the Revolt Robots, Dr. Doppler, Schmitt, Descant, and Enemice HL reach Level 15!
Mega City

Reverse Man, Demyx, Metal Sonic, and the unknown speedster (who's been unknown for a bit longer than I expected) find themselves returning to the present at the same time as Saktira CC, Express Man, and Crescendo.
...how did things go for all of you?
A little tricky, but I made it out fine enough.
We had a bit of trouble returning to the Past Post, but aside from that, we were still able to handle it.
We could've gotten through the Post sooner if you just let me take the lead.
Let's count our blessings, Crescendo.

Level 2

Metal Sonic lifts the Alt.Future Post off the building and yanks off the hand leading to Alt Future 1:30.
You six can do some planning amongst yourselves. I need a moment.
Metal flies off alone.
*Reference/Recap: Referring to how Pokémon Potions are spray-based, and not natural healing items. While Shadow Digital technically does own 'M FF, he still chooses to let them (yes, them; like all Gen 1 Pokémon aside from the Nidoran lines, 'M FF is genderless) wander and act on their own accord so long as their glitchy nature doesn't pose a risk to themselves or others. This is mainly out of respect and fear of the fact that 'M FF is one of the only Pokémon known to Chaos Zone who is sentient, but not sapient.
