Earth G-9 - The Underground Mine

Even with the Crew having assaulted Soldier Force with quick projectiles for a couple miles worth of running, Chunky Kong begins to fall behind...but nearing the hulking machine's legs, he unleashes a Whale Whisker to send it skidding along the ground!
Dangan Man calls for RX to help with the finishing blow while slicing it with Shadow Runners!
Whale Whisker: (Water/Earth) Chunky Kong uses his Water magic to unleash a watery punch and summon a long, straight wave of water in front of him. Deals high knockback that can only be reduced based on the opponent's resistance to Water-type or otherwise liquid attacks.

Tox Man moves 3 spaces east, while Guard Hound moves 3 spaces north and 1 west, to pick up the unknown item. Both use Buster Charge on themselves (assuming Guard Hound still can; otherwise only Tox Man does).

Clockwork Tower
Yeah, but I mean, who's gonna wear it? Kinda hard to make music or throw swords or whatever with a suit like that.
Don't look at me! I've got a machine of my own I'll be busy with!
The team stops staring down Tinker Knight and Choice Man. All focus has shifted to Li'l Miss Marshmallow.
...what does she even do? Burn people with hot tea?
YES.
Awkward silence fills the room.
...well, unless anyone has changed their mind...

Earth G-9 - The Underground Mine

As the full group of 34 (plus RX) steps into the mine, heavy mechanical footsteps reverberate throughout the tunnels...
Hold on, that's not just me walking, is it?
Nope.
Rika summons her Flower Tank and jumps in.
Start running, and keep looking back.
Just as the Crew begins to pick up speed, the source of the heavy clanking enters the view...

Clockwork Tower
Well, if I can only make one of these modified "Gouf" armors, it'd be a good idea for its shape to suit its pilot...
As the high-speed Saktira, Reverse Man, Express Man, and robot Sonics, the blade-wielding Konngara and Crescendo, and the water-wielding Demyx trade glances with each other, everyone's eyes shift to Li'l Miss Marshmallow, Tinker Knight, and Choice Man.
Uh...I'm not gonna keep the amputation.

Daroach's Airship
A Mobile Suit? My goodness!
CORRECT. RETURNING TO ALLIES* DETERMINED IDEAL SOLUTION.
Look, Doc may be a genius, but he's not a supplier; none of us are. Alloy and ammo don't count for much as treasure.
...so you can't help?
Well, not as much. We can't make you something like a Gouf, especially when we don't have the blueprints. But there are some similar blueprints I've...found in my time treasure hunting. We don't need nearly as much materials to make them.
As Daroach lays assorted blueprints on a table, Up'n'Down finds himself attracted to the design of...
...the RB-79†.
*sigh* Where did I go wrong?

Doppler Labs

After a a long and strenuous battle that I admit might've actually been more worthwhile than I thought given my inactivity, the organic members of the Brash Crew (save Meta Knight and Bandanna Dee, who never left) return to the lab, each 20 levels higher:
Gilgamesh has reached Level 117.
Kogasa has reached Level 48.
Fang has reached Level 23.
Everyone else has reached Level 20.
So, how'd your trips go?
If you didn't tell me what was behind your portal I'd be screaming right now.
Save it for when the hellspawn comes. We've got a job to finish. And this time, we're doing it together.
The fifth and final portal opens...leading to the Underground Mine of Earth G-9‡.
*Recap: During a long battle in Gensokyo, the Fighting Mecha Team found new allies in the Squeaks, with Daroach being interesting in helping them out due to his fondness for underdogs (as well as a now-abandoned interest in the Yagaterasu housed within one of their opponents, Utsuho).
†RB-79 Ball. Speaks for itself, really.
‡Reference: Gunstar Heroes - A compromise between the English story (set on Planet Gunstar 9) and the Japanese story (set on Earth), because I'd rather not have a name as generic as "Underground Mine" (which is a level in Gunster Heroes) be used for a location on Earth.

...I truly assumed you'd catch on faster, HighTower.
The fact that we've failed twice before? The way I made it clear we're known threats in this very roleplay? The fact that the white text normally meant for the narrator is now a dark blue?
Yes, HighTower. It's Team Mecha's leader speaking.

.
...
...don't you hear that?
Exactly. There's nothing to hear.
The pathetic gray wisp, the overcrowded optimists, even the demon who's ostensibly looming over us as we speak...they aren't here.
I almost want to say that makes this less fun. The only people we have to toy with are the meme-obsessed copies of the same person, and the posse from the "reaper" who fails to believe in the idea that stories can happen without him. Unless we want to take a shot at the man who's playing the victim card to the wisp he created by intruding on one of his dozen stories all leading up to nothing.
But I'm not going to let our disappointment intrude on our big chance. Not a third time.
It's somewhat fitting, anyway...
...with so many past threats rekindling, it'd be strange for us not to return.

Oh, I almost forgot...
We can hear you. And if you pretend anyone heard this but us, we won't hesitate to kill anyone you've claimed or created, and continue to do it each time they return.
HighTower, you're probably giving me a dirty look right now. And I'd be lying if I said it wasn't in part because of you. But we're not discriminating; far from it.
The stick bug, Mr. Smith...even the Trio of Origin who used to act like they mattered more than the rest of us will be crushed like dying leaves if they step in our way.
Like Walter said, we are all Characters. That makes us just as mortal as all of you, but it makes you just as mortal as the three of us.

Clockwork Tower

Tinker Knight reads the blueprints over several times.
How's it lookin', Tink?
Well, everything seems there and accounted for, save for the optional shield...
...but it's going to take some work. Possibly some modifications. And certainly not mass-production. I don't think anyone's managed to pull that off...*
To say nothing of the self-repair necessary if we're taking on a demon...

Ridorana Cataract

With the organic members of the Brash Crew having acquired magic powers, they have entrusted the Capsules and Spheres given to them by Gasper to the mechanical members of the team, and have now moved on to their next trial...
...yeah, I might want to spare the details†.
*Reference: Mobile Suit Gundam - While it was designed for mass-production, the MS-07B Gouf (Which I'm mostly sure is the mech in the blueprints) had a short-lived production run due to its performance not making up for its costs. If anyone has enough Gundam knowledge to correct me on specifics, please do.
†Reference: Final Fantasy XII - ...okay, the reason why I want to spare the details is because Yiazmat here is yet another infamous superboss in the Final Fantasy series, having roughly 50.1 million HP and the ability to reduce the max damage it can be dealt at a time, among other things. Most fights against it take an hour at least.

End of Time - Spekkio's Room
We can't thank you enough.
The team heads to the portal leading back to Doppler Labs, which closes behind them once they've all left.
Clockwork Tower

As Metal Sonic's team enters the main working room of the tower, he finds the so-called "Clockwork Alliance", Silver Sonic II included*, present and planning.
Metal Sonic?! What are you here for?
Calm down, Tinker Knight. I'm quite sure the Brash Crew is busy with more...intense preparations, so I figured you would be a close second.
As for the reason...
Metal gestures for Choice Man to hand Tinker Knight the blueprints.
*Recap: The Clockwork Alliance (not properly named until now) consists of 4 people who are familiar with Team Mecha's use of Limited; 3 who were test subjects for various Limited and Extreme-related experiments (Tinker Knight, Li'l Miss Marshmallow, and Silver Sonic II), and one who has faced a less friendly test subject before (Konngara). The team was formed by Heavy Magician, though she herself is not part of it. Additional note: Silver Sonic II is from Sonic Adventure, but his name comes from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics, as he was never named in-game, and since he serves as a guardian for Station Square (also like the Archie Comics), he may not always be present with the rest of the Alliance.

Mega City
Reverse-engineering the blueprints could probably work...but none of us have any knowledge on how to do that.
...I know someone who might.
Metal Sonic prepares coordinates for the Clockwork Tower.
Beanbean Kingdom - Stardust Fields

After what felt like a couple of days worth of training with RX and half of the Brash Crew, Descant readies her 151st Shredding Shot* at the target.
Her arm cannon instead releases an Arrow Shot!
Descant's Missile power increased!
Whoah!
Bravo! Well done! You have all Advanced at least one of your abilities, and in doing so, honed your skills with certain types!
As you can see, not all abilities Advance as fast as others; some may only take a couple dozen focused strikes, while others can take possibly hundreds!
But don't let that demotivate you! Simply work with the abilities you have, and work with the advancements as you go!

General Starshade leaps back onto Sergeant Starshade's head, and they both walk back to the star-shaped elevator they entered from.
We wish you well!
The Starshade Bros. descend back into the hole, which is covered back up by the hatch.
Arrow Shot: (Energy/Missile) An ability learned from Advancing Shredding Shot. Descant fires a burst of energy that splits into four equally-strong bursts upon contact with an opponent or surface.
*Recap: Descant was a piece of Limited (Rockman X Mega Mission) that was seperated from its main host around the time Cranky Kong nerfed all of reality save for those who had the willpower to deny it ( Page 90, Post #2 ). Because of this nerf, the then-unnamed Limited could not reconnect to its host, and essentially lost all viral capabilities; Dr. Doppler took it in, seeing its potential to evolve on its own terms without affecting others (similar to the Order Breakers from Mega Mission 2), while also becoming a more benevolent being than most Limited. The Limited (who named itself/herself Descant just before evolving into her current form) copied abilities from those it/she interacted with; among them were a pile of UKR soldiers, with Shredding Shot being formed from the Shredding Rounds used by the soldiers.

Mega City
...don't look at us, Choice. We don't have any ideas.

Also Mega City
But somewhere else

A small, hidden-y'know what, his silhouette gives him away, so I'll spare you the failed suspense.
Up'n'Down watches the makeshift team from afar...
Some sort of armor, huh?
Sounds like just the thing my team* needs for this Dia-babble guy†...
Up'n'Down hops out of sight...
*Recap: Up'n'Down is the leader of the "Fighting Mecha Team" (most certainly not to be confused with Team Mecha), a sextet of Mechas who have (to my knowledege) never made a significant appearance in Mega Man RPG Prototype or any MMRPG Roleplay. To be blunt, they're almost entirely comic relief.
†Beta Diablo.
