Bit of a double-post, I'm sorry, but a certain guy happened to remind me that today is my two year anniversary on Prototype!

*Unenthusiastic cheers slightly fill the room*
Ah, oh well, I suppose I tried!

*This concludes our daily MBM intermission for the day*

I'm going to suggest a few questions as well, so be prepared.

1. If you could, could you talk about the RPG you're making? I'm sure the audience would be interested in hearing about it if you're still developing it.
2. What other video game series do you typically enjoy in playing?
3. You tend to record playthroughs, so can we expect any certain games to look out for in the future? Just a tiny hint?
4. What's your opinion on the other Mega Man franchises, such as X or Battle Network?
5. What's the origins of the Studio name? It appears you aren't the only one out there...

Hey, I'm just going to leave this here. A minor attempt of creating a sprite page in comic format, and while it's not really funny in any way, I thought maybe someone would like to look at it.

Hey, Community readers! Once again, a small new batch of updates have been put out for the Developer preview build! Please read below for a few of the highlights, or simply check out the Github page for the completely expanded list.

-Buster Charge and Buster Relay have been completed and are now accessible in the Preview build, and their effects can be read through in these pages.

-The Elemental boosting/breaking abilities, such as Attack Blaze, have been removed in sake of recent reception.

-The Energy Upgrade and the Weapon Upgrade have recently been included. They will double their respective slot up to double it's amount!

-Not to mention, the Energy Booster, Attack Booster, Defense Booster, as well as the Speed Booster have been added to the game!

-To round us off the equippable items are the Modules, ranging from the Target Module, Charge Module, Growth Module, and the Fortune Module have been added!

-A few moves have also been buffed or nerfed to better balance with each other.

-Robot Masters now only drop cores when hit with super-effective abilities. They'll still drop their normal range of items in other circumstances, though.

-Kalinka can now sell these new items in her shop.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a great time testing out all the new changes! As always, feel free to post your feedback!

@T-RexNaffects : While we certainly enjoy the suggestion, dated news threads like this aren't the place where you put suggestions, you'd have more luck in the suggestions thread. Threads like this are dated and shouldn't be posted on without reason.

As for the Shadow Devil, we'd love to include the Devil bots, but they're much too big to be realistically included in Prototype. Thank you for the suggestion, though ^_^

The problem with creating an alt for Mega Man, or the Copy Robots in general, is that we wouldn't need to just make one alt, but creating 20 other alts as well, each identifying as a different element :/ If we have helmetless Mega Man, then we need a Flame Helmetless Mega Man, etc. Lot of work and a lot of data to waste, really.

A few questions from your local BossMan as well!

1. What would you consider your crowning achievement in Prototype?
2. What's with the hate for the Genesis Unit, man?
3. The one thing we'll always differ on is our opinions on Mega Man 8, so could you list me a few defining features from it, if you can?
4. Do you ever look upon the night sky and wonder of the Stars?
5. Seeing as you enjoy Mega Man 8 for having voiced Robots, how do you feel about X4, which also introduced voice-acting in the X Series?
6. Ideally, how do you envision the Prototype of the future?
7. What aspect of Prototype would you say you enjoy the most?

@OddNiteAmericaPlay : Hello OddNiteAmericaPlay, welcome to the Community!

First thing to address, Retro Pikachu is correct in identifying this thread as the suggestion thread. However, since you've already asked here, I'll answer your question.

See, we don't necessarily want to stray away from the three common doctors. While Doctor Lalinde from the Archie Comics or the mysterious Mr. X would make adequate player characters in a hypothetical fourth campaign, we really want to stick with the main three. This game generally likes to work in threes, much like in other video games. Plus, it would require some restructuring in how the Prototype works, including a smaller mission setup.. Sorry if you were really looking forward to Mr. X as a character. As for the MM6 robots, they would be shared between the doctors much like how the MM3 robots currently work. And for Duo, it's something that will require further thought. Thank you for the suggestions, though! :D

@megaprotobassman : While we'd love to expand our Robot Masters to the field of fandom, the higher priority at the moment is to finish every Robot Master from the original Capcom games. Fan-made robots aren't out of the question, and while we're still pretty far off from that time. Just not now. Do note that using a Robot Master from another fan-game would have to include all the 9 miles, such as sprites, abilities, fields, mechas, as well as permission from the original creator of the character.

As for Zero, we'd like to stay as Classic as possible. Maybe a few hints or music tracks, but who knows what the future holds....?

Alright, first off, you want to be playing the Dev Prototype, not the regular one on the site.
Mega Man RPG Prototype Dev
Next, you want to enter the Prototype tab in the Dev website. After that, on the top menu, you want to hit the "Robots" tab.
On this sub-menu
After clicking on robots, you'll be led to something like this screen.
Like this?
See how below the Mega Man sprite, there's a number with summons below it?
Like this as well
That is how many times you sent a robot into battle, and having a large number of those will unlock an alt costume. Specifically, in increments of 100, or 50 for robots like Roll. Now, Mega Man, Proto Man, nor Bass can unlock costumes, only the Robot Masters and the Support bots.
Quick Man is blue here
Simply click on a Robot Master's sprite, and they'll change color. Please PM me if you have any further questions.
