Typhoon Heights
Hold on, yer takin' videos of people and just changin' who's on the winning side?
Right on the money. Just a flick of the wrist, and nobody can tell the truth!
Fang glares at Remnant Aviator, silently pulling out his popgun...
Oh, I know a way to get the truth outta ya...
R-Avi immediately flies back, readying a Lightning Flail to try and knock both Fang and RX* off the tower!
(Battle Theme) ♫ Mighty Gunvolt Burst - Vs. Gunvolt/Beck ♫
This is going in the next article, you kn-
A cork from Fang's Blind Fire .17 interrupts R-Avi, briefly distorting it into a glitchy mess!
Lightning Flail: (Electric/Swift) Inherited from Dynatron's (SOURCE UNKNOWN). Remnant Aviator summons at least three pairs of "seeds" connected by electricity (the number increases based on the move's power level), which spin in the air and home in on the nearest opponent.
Blind Fire RECAP: (Missile/Swift) Fang flails his popgun in all directions, firing dozens of corks.
Power Levels: Default, .17 (NEW)
*RX's last stated location was "wherever the Marsh Agate is". The Marsh Agate is in Remnant Aviator's possession, meaning RX is at Typhoon Heights.

Typhoon Heights*

(??? Theme) ♫ Mighty Gunvolt Burst - Cyberspace Coliseum ♫
As Fang climbs the hazardous, balloon-infested tower, the Marsh Agate glows amidst the clouds...firmly in the grasp of the mysterious flighted figure.
Aaand..send!
Approaching the figure, Fang notices them clicking away at some sort of holographic keyboard...
...the heck made ya think t' loiter 'round up here when you've got that in you're hands?
Who said I had it?
The digital monitor is turned to face Fang; on it is bird's-eye-view footage of Fang chasing the figure from the lab...but with him holding the Marsh Agate.
How'd ya even...I never had my hands on the thing!
Makes perfect sense, though! C'mon, what fancy gems haven't you eyed?
And after your little scandal at Biostar, this just adds more fuel to your fire...
The whole internet's gonna hate you, Weasel†!
Remnant Aviator
Sky-High Specter

Marsh Agate - w/ Remnant Aviator
*Reference: Mega Man & Bass (Tengu Man's stage)
†Reference/Recap: "Nack the Weasel" is the name used for Fang in international releases of Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, as well as the entire run of Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Fang hates being called that.

Mega City

Lying amidst a wrecked building, a small robot with a sharp steed (or is it a large, sharp robot?) starts functioning again after what feels like weeks*...
Ugh...son of a Shyper...
Mack
Bouncing Knife Rider

As Mack takes in his surroundings, he jumps back at the sight of a strange drone right next to him...and stares in confusion as it floats back to a shady aerial figure.
Whoops! Don't have time for questions, sorry!
Just as Mack tries to get in a cheap shot with a Drain, the figure vanishes in a cluster of cubes...
Doppler Labs

Even with their main training complete, the Brash Crew is still keeping active in the lab, not ready to let their guard down again...aside from a certain weasel wolf-jerboa, circling the lab on his airbike impatiently...
There's gotta be somethin' to kill the time...
Fang the Sniper
Special Stage Scoundrel

Looking at the sky more than the path in front of him, Fang slams the brakes on his Marvelous Queen as he notices a purple blur in the sky, holding a pink gem...
Heh! It's Like a message or somethin'.
As Fang speeds off, the rest of the Crew notices his position on the radar moving further from the lab...
*sigh* Great. Now we need someone to keep an eye on him so he doesn't cause trouble like last time.
Sonic Man
The Aquatic Echo
Sonic Man of MMRPG-???-Dimension DOS

Yoshi opens the lab's hatch door, a Dash Pepper in hand.
Hup. (Well, I still owe a lot to the rest of you‡, so...)
Yoshi
Ravenous Islander

Yoshi slurps up the pepper and bursts out the door, chasing Fang from a safe distance.
Marsh Agate - (Identity unknown)
*Recap (Beta Diablo Arc, Thread 1): After a failed attempt at training in an alternate future with Choice Man, Metal Sonic was attacked by Mack for seemingly no reason besides to kick him while he was down, and steal what little glory he had.
Yeah, Mack doesn't really have the most complicated of motives.
†Recap (Grey Matter Arc): During the Brash Crew's downtime while watching over a then-comatose Rumia (I promise at some point I'll actually recap that), Fang grew fed up with the constant lack of attention villain characters were getting, and decided to take matters into his own hands. While a misunderstanding with a then-emerging Biostar Labs (Group of GammaGuardian characters) ended better than expected, an attempted early strike against Other Dark Prince (Dark Prince from the Puyo Puyo (1992) English translation; minor Dead Zone Arc villain, TheHighTower's character, probably deceased) led to Beta Shadow intervening, at which point Fang gave up the search.
‡Recap: Yoshi's probably one of the characters I've done the worst job at doing anything meaningful with.

Tox Man moves 2 spaces north and 1 east, picking up the unknown item (I think it's a Seed?). Gunner moves 1 space north, giving Guard Hound room to move 5 spaces east.

Yeah, darn right we're happy we ain't you.
...
After giving Tox Man a questioning glare, Guard Hound moves 1 space west, 2 spaces north, then 3 more spaces west. If Tox Man and Gunner don't automatically follow him to the next floor, then Tox Man moves 1 space north and 2 west while Gunner moves a single space north.

(OOC: Whoops; probably should have paid more attention. Didn't mean to start any freaky lore, sorry.
Might as well ask in advance if nicknaming has the same restrictions as remodels so I don't make the same mistake.)

Tox Man moves 3 spaces west, and Guard Hound moves 2 spaces north, then 4 west. Both end their movements by using Buster Charge on themselves.
Now aware of how he fares against the Time Man, Gunner moves 1 space north.

Okay, fine, do the opposite of what I said.
But I ain't letting you in looking like that.
In the blink of an eye-wait, how did Tox...?
...yeah, this is going to take some getting used to.
Get used to it sooner if you know what's good for you.
...oookay then. Gunner joins Nuclear Haste.
Tox Man moves 3 spaces north and uses another Buster Charge, while Guard Hound moves 1 space north and picks up the Energy Upgrade, equipping it at the same time if he can. If Gunner can act this turn, he moves 1 space west, picks up the unknown item, and protects himself with Joe Shield.

Last Utopia Zone*
(OOC: Subplot is currently half-closed; acknowledgement (e.g. "Oh shoot, look who it is") is fine; intervention (e.g. "STOP RIGHT THERE") is not)

(Character Group Theme) ♫ Sonic Mania - Steel Cortex ♫
A trio of quilled robots have torn their way into the abandoned Eggman base...
*blip*
(Jet) Silver Sonic Prime† (HEX)‡
The Steel Scrambler
STATEMENT HAS BEEN SECONDED. REASON FOR FURTHER POWER IS BEING BROUGHT INTO QUESTION.
(Power) Robo Sonic (HEX)‡
The Death Egg's Eye
Perhaps it doesn't feel to us like we need it. But strong and hidden as we make ourselves, there are people who will, through any means possible, make us visible, and in doing so make us look weaker than we are.
Could I control that? For certain§. But self-destructive as it sounds, I wish not to.
The tall third figure shoves his hand into a hard, steel device, and pulls out a clump of wires and chips.
As time has passed, any threat that comes this world's way has learned how to kill quickly and efficiently.
But just the same, many of them have forgotten something just as important...
...the perfect balance of fear, pain, and anguish.
(Super) Mecha Sonic Prime† (HEX)‡
Scourer of the Sanctuary

*Reference: Sonic The Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
†Recap (Dead Zone/Badnik Arcs, Thread 1): The "Prime" suffixes were intended to distinguish these two from a series of mass-produced Mecha and Silver Sonic robots under the ownership of SA2 Dub Eggman (Also known as SnapCube Dub Eggman; TheHighTower's character); with focus shifting to mass-produced Metallix (Super Mario Bros. Z reboot?) robots instead, and SA2 Dub Eggman himself being less present, the "Prime" suffix has been dropped from most mentions of these two, but it's part of their name regardless.
‡Recap (Thread 1): This is Team Mecha. They (along with the primary "Metal Sonic" seen throughout the story) come from another universe where Dr. Eggman was killed some time after the events of Shadow the Hedgehog (the killer is currently unknown). Also worth noting is that since the last third of the "Regulus Arc", they have infused themselves with Adaptors (Mega Man 6, Mega Man 7) that combine the powers of Hyper Limited (Rockman X Mega Mission 3) and Extreme, without the limited sentience of either.

§Like so.

Earth G-9 - The Underground Mine

After dodging and pelting Blaster Force for what felt like hours, the mech is finally finished off by a Fantastic Blast!

'M FF reaches Level 251!
Gilgamesh reaches Level 126!
Kogasa reaches Level 63!
Volt Man, Sonic Man, the Revolt Robots, Dr. Doppler, Schmitt, Descant, and Enemice HL reach Level 56!
Meta Knight, R.O.B., and Bandanna Waddle Dee reach Level 52!
Dangan Man and Fang reach Level 51!
Dyna Man reaches Level 50!
The rest of the Brash Crew reaches Level 48!

Without a second thought, the crew enters the portal headed straight back to Doppler Labs*...
Clockwork Tower

After days of work, Tinker Knight has finished his construction.
Well, I was forced to improvise on a few details, but how does this look?
Tinker Knight
The Schemer

The Clockwork Alliance† and Metal Sonic's makeshift team look up at the mech. While still resembling the Gouf blueprints provided by Choice Man‡, complete with a Heat Rod, the machine gun arm has been swapped out for an arm cannon, the spiked shoulders for bladed shoulders, and the head fin...for a headdress.
I mean...'least we won't get confused about who's supposed to use it.
Demyx§
The Melodious Nocturne

Fantastic Blast RECAP: (Explode/Laser) Created by combining Dyna Man's normal powers with a Fantasy Seal (from Tepid Man; HighTower's character, precursor to Command X). Dyna Man throws a warhead wrapped in energy-infused paper seals, creating a massive explosion of fire and magic.
Supercharge Type: Water
*Recap (Thread 1): Doppler Labs is a laboratory built by Rika as a sort of "home base" for the Brash Crew. Various Characters claimed by TheHighTower have been allowed to take residence as well (including Marisa Kirisame, various concept art Robot Masters, and Fefnir, among possibly others I forgot).
†Recap (Thread 1): A quartet (again, read here for more on each character) formed by Heavy Magician (Sonic Mania) to provide strength in numbers should high-scale threats return; they're connected by past experiences with Limited (Rockman X Mega Mission series), Extreme (Rockman X Giga Mission), and Team Mecha (the "trio of Badniks" mentioned in the main post).
‡Recap (Beta Diablo Arc, Thread 1): During a very much failed attempt at training in an alternate post-Beta Diablo future with Metal Sonic, Choice Man (another character claimed by HighTower) found partial blueprints for the MS-07B Gouf (Mobile Suit Gundam). The replaced features were suggested as omissions by Choice Man himself.
§(OOC: If you know where he's from, please don't panic; none of the lore of his franchise is present.)

Earth G-9 - The Underground Mine

(Battle Theme) ♫ Gunstar Heroes - Theme of Seven Force ♫
Having fought their way through Tiger Force, Urchin Force, Crab Force, and Eagle Force, the Brash Crew and RX find themselves face-to-face with Seven Force's last form: Blaster Force!

*Recap (Beta Diablo Arc, Thread 1): The Brash Crew has been preparing for Beta Diablo through a series of special encounters and lessons; the robotic members were taught by the Starshade Bros. (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga) and fought Absolute Virtue and Pandemonium Warden (FFXI), and the non-robots were taught by Spekkio (Chrono Trigger, Beta Shadow's character) and fought Yiazmat (FFXII). All 34 of them, plus Return iX (Rockman X Mega Mission/Mega Mission 3, TheHighTower's character), are now fighting Seven Force (Gunstar Heroes).

(OOC: Apologies for the late reply; first off; I now understand the situation with Chaos; I was actually somewhat wary of it when Beta Diablo showed up, and that's one of several reasons why he's with the Clockwork Alliance now. Second off...)
The Hallowed Desktop
I agree with Upsilon that whatever you're planning with this is incredibly unlikely to be as effective against Beta Diablo as you think. The arc has pointed towards him at least not reaching Regulus levels of invincibility, but it would most likely be the same if you prepared yourselves without the Crystal Coconut. I know your reaper - or at least your writer - has a fascination with internet memes, but stealing an established source of power from an established wielder is incredibly unlikely to help anyone. Page 378 is enough proof of that.
As much as it goes against what I stand for, I'm forced to leave the third point to someone else.

(OOC: I can't speak for Beta Shadow and Upsilon + Pi, or for Walter/Worship and Will Smith, but I've explained several times that the main reason for Libra's continued existence is to keep the thread from devolving into out-of-character power arguments. I step away for one day because I want to play some Kingdom Hearts and then exactly that happens on Page 378. Honestly, I lowkey don't trust RotomSlashBlast and HighTower to interact with each other because of how often it's reached, or almost reached, this kind of madness.
Point being, if you don't like how I have Libra control things, I'd rather you talk with me in a PM, either here or on another piece of social media, so that these arguments don't flood the Chaos Zone thread. Please don't drag Libra into normal plot-relevant discussions unless it's because he's serving as less than Plot Police, like when he was preparing to fight Regulus.)

Where are they, exactly?

Pulse Man (Mega Man Rock Force)
Circulatory Concept

Taking a moment to catch his breath (or rather, start up his circulatory system again), Pulse Man looks around in confusion as his WE slowly refills*.
...guys, what the heck is going on?

Earth G-9 - The Underground Mine

After another onslaught of dodging tail strikes and energy bullets, assisted by R.O.B.'s NS Tackle and Sonic Man's Water Crash, Kogasa finishes Tails Force with a Rain Flare!
Nearing the top of the tunnel, Rika quickly shifts her Flower Tank upside down, and begins driving it along the ceiling as Tiger Force runs in, with Kanako helping the others up with a Waterfall!

Water Crash: (Water/Shield) An ability learned from Advancing Sound Bubble. Sonic Man surrounds himself and nearby allies in a blast of sound-imbued water, deflecting projectiles, and dealing moderate damage to any opponents in range. Even if they otherwise absorb the attack, they are guaranteed to take high knockback.
Rain Flare: (Water/Flame) Kogasa summons a stormcloud, which rains down on the opponent...more specifically, rains down flames, thanks to Kogasa's Fire magic.
Waterfall: (Water) The user charges forward surrounded in water, potentially moving themselves and allies upwards as well. Kanako uses this ability with Water magic.
*As it does in Mega Man RPG Prototype proper.

Rainbow Road (N64)

Libra appears.
I'm sorry, Trimarc, but "once a month" isn't a fair exchange.
Do note that any method of erasing others from existence has been reserved for opponents who either risk the entire MMRPG Omniverse, or those who are weighing down the narrative. And accepted use of such abilities has only come from those who are - or were - seen as legitimate higher figures, like the Trio of Origin, or the likes of Pi Robot or I, who mainly act for meta reasons, instead of normal interaction.
Ironically, by acting so hastily and placing such intense prevention requirements on your abilities, the biggest risk to the narrative devolving into bitter out-of-character arguments is you.
Yes, Somatic is a villain who nearly reached a dangerous position of power. But you gave no chance for anyone to prove he could be stopped without taking drastic measures like that.
Libra turns around, his head still tilting towards Trimarc.
But it's midnight Pacific Standard Time right now, so I don't trust myself to react further at the moment. If Brash wakes up and you, or someone such as Pi Robot, Walter - or Worship, whichever you view him as right now - or even Somatic himself hasn't undone your overreaction, I will take matters into my own hands again.
There are reasons many Reapers are taking precautions to prevent just anyone from entering certain subplots. And if you don't learn from this, you'll become one of those reasons.
