@Mikey McScruuge : I don't think that's the only way; I'm definitely sure that I unlocked it from doing a certain battle. I'm going to go test my previous theory just to see if that's an option, but I didn't know about buying it from Reggae, so thanks for that!

EDIT: Just tested it out and yes, you can unlock Mecha Support by beating the Intro Stage with 8 mets, as well as unlock Field Support by beating 8 mets twice.

@Kirbologist : First off, please no language. This is a family-friendly website.

Secondly, you don't sound dumb; trust me lol. I had to look up the answer to this too. I believe you have to beat the intro stage when it has eight mets to unlock Mecha Support and beat it again to unlock Field Support. Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure if this is the way to get it, so could someone else correct me if I'm wrong?

@ZeroDXZ : "Sad though how you can't use items on the Player Battles." Would you like to hear that some person in 1000th place beat you in a battle because they stockpiled items? Obviously I'm exaggerating, but the point is that items would give an unfair advantage to the challenger (although heaven knows I wish I could use them sometimes).

@uraccountcrashed : This thread is for asking for help concerning MMRPG, not suggestions. This is the thread you're looking for.

AWWWWWWWWW out of all the times I'm unable to make the chat.....*sigh*

Well, since Thanksgiving break is over here, I'm moving back to my dorm, but I'm literally leaving the house RIGHT at 6 PM, so yea....anyways, say hi to Adrian the guest for me!

@ThatGuyNamedMikey : I find Charge Man to be easier than Shadow Man. He's more predictable and just easier for me to dodge overall. His hardest move is when he briefly charges you after following you across the room, but even that can be anticipated and dodged. His coal rain and long charges are cake. Sure, he's taller, but you can get around him a lot easier than Shadow Man. Btw, I just checked; Charge Man does 5 contact damage.

Unlike Charge Man, Shadow Man never gives you any breathing room and is IMPOSSIBLE to anticipate, the biggest difference being that he doesn't telegraph his slides like Charge Man does, and unfortunately his slides shoot all the way across the room and then bounce right back up.

Now I'm not saying this to defend Shadow Man; I think the fact that his movements are utterly random is stupid considering Classic Mega Man has always been about looking for patterns that aren't random, but aren't easy to master. I'm just saying that he is really difficult to the point of being unfair, and that could be a reason to like him: because he's a challenge with just a buster.

@ThatGuyNamedMikey : I'll admit that Spark Mandrill can be difficult, especially compared to the other MMX1 mavericks. Funny enough, I started with him when I first played MMX years ago. Safe to say I got rekt. However, I think I have beat him with buster-only, but I'm unsure. I'll have to try again :D .

You don't think Shadow Man is tough? The biggest problem with him is his unpredictability. If you don't jump as soon as he slides, he just trucks you before you can bat an eye. On the other hand, if you jump when he throws his blades, you don't have enough time to land and jump again to avoid the star. If you try to go under him, you can get unlucky and go under him when he makes a short hop, making you take contact damage. I honestly find it stupid that you just have to be lucky in order to beat him w/o his weakness.

There's a video about how to beat Elec Man REALLY easily, but it's basically exploiting a glitch in his AI. Other than that, Elec Man is a serious pain.

@ThatGuyNamedMikey : Well when you confidently list so many characters as "awesome", I have to speak up :P .

Mega Man X - He is undebatably my favorite Mega Man (I haven't played MMZero, ZX, or Legends so I can't speak for those). He's quite solemn and has a strong sense of justice, and throughout the series, he seeks to discover what "justice" and "the right thing to do" really are. SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT THE PLOT OF X5 (which you probably already know or don't care but wuddevr): That's why I wish the series had ended at X5 with the ending of Zero "discovering his true self" and X putting the fate of the world over his friend's life. It's a great answer to X's question of when this war will end and what he'll need to sacrifice. I know there are other Megamen that are like that, but MMX always rubbed me in a darker way than the other series and I personally like that.

Spark Mandrill - I suppose he's OKAY, but in the face of the other MMX1 mavericks, he's unimpressive imo. Also, I personally find his theme to be underwhelming compared to, say, Flame Mammoth and Storm Eagle. Overall, however, I don't have a problem with him; I just don't feel the need to give him any particular praise.

Toxic Seahorse - Wat. His stage theme is awesome, but he himself is kinda....strange, even as far as mavericks go. At the beginning of (and throughout) your fight with him, he keeps bobbing his head and tail up and down like a chicken, and his best ability is to melt....-_-.

Shadow Devil - The first time I heard Shadow Devil's theme, I thought to myself, "No....NO WAY!!" As the blobs of dark, malicious evil came flying towards me, the most intense, nightmarish fight of my MMX life commenced. Shadow Devil FTW.

Hilariously enough, I just came here to comment on Shadow Man. Shadow Man is 100% ninja: the design, the weapon, the fight, heck even his theme just screams ninja. I'm not sure what else you could possibly like about him. What do you like about Shadow Man, Mike? Or do you even like him?

@MusicalKitty : I think you're looking for this thread. The Explanation Request thread is to suggest mechanics or foundational basics that would be worth creating a new topic in order to explain.

@MegaTaosenaiStorm : Same rules apply for everyone, including the topic creator. Before MegaBoy's comment just now, you tripleposted when you could've edited you first post. Please do not post consecutively within 24 hours (or around that time).

@MegaBoyX7 : You just posted SEVEN times in a row within ten minutes, which isn't necessary at all considering the length of each of your post. Again, if you have something new to add in less than 24 hours, edit your most recent post if no one else has posted yet. There's no need to double post for comments that small, let alone seven.

Sorry if I come off the wrong way. I don't mean to sound angry, but it is common forum policy to edit your first post. Seven posts in a row is....astounding.

@MegaBoyX7 : If you wanna test the formatting, do so in your profile, not in another thread.

EDIT: MBM graciously made a practice thread for your format testing needs, so this is a reminder for those who didn't know about it.

@MegaBoyX7 : PLEASE don't doublepost (or triplepost for that matter) if you posted within the last day; just edit the first post. The only time doubleposting is allowed is if multiple posts are part of the same post. That is, when your post hits the character limit, you may end up having to break it into multiple posts. For example, look at some of MBM and my posts on this RP thread.

@MegaBoyX7 : If you read the dropdown menu, you'd see for yourself how to create the background and foreground. Adding characters is as simple as putting a character sprite (also shown in the formatting options) in between the
and
of your choice
