First off, I should make clear that a legitimate question shouldn't be disregarded and written off as "stupid" right off the bat, if a community encourages the idea of "Well that's an obvious question don't ask it" then we wouldn't get anywhere with people actually seeking an answer to the question they asked because they actually want to know. If people are going to provide an answer then at least attempt to make it an answer, not a complete disregard, especially since the question has been proposed as a feature and will likely be added to the main build eventually. There's no issue in asking a question and I don't want to allow the stigma that for some reason it is.


@kqueen : Now, hopefully you've read through the information this very thread provides in explaining the basic notion of Robot Cores--At the end of the day, if you've played the Pokemon series before, it essentially acts in the same way types in that series works. However, if for whatever reason you don't understand, please feel free to ask for further elaboration. At the moment, a Robot's Core is unchangeable and they're stuck with the elemental type that they're given. Emphasis on "At the moment" though, as there's currently plans to allow collectible items that can add a typing to the robot.

For example, collecting a flame core item now will only allow you to throw it for damage, but if an upcoming update follows through, you could also have the option to equip it to a robot like Ice Man, who's naturally a Freeze-core. Equipping that flame core will allow Ice Man to gain a secondary typing of Flame along with his natural typing of Freeze, thus he could use a weapon like Heat Man's or Fire Man's, or really whatever Flame-core you can think of! This can allow for a variety of strategy in battle, and lead to crazy results and type-mixing without limit! This mechanic would work a little differently for robots like Mega Man, Proto Man or Bass, but in that situation I'd like to ask that you wait until the news post that will accompany the update to understand how that works, and it'll also bring you any clarification that you need.

@megaman zero : @The Zion : Unfortunately, that is an issue, and the matter at issue here is that you have to be 13 years or older to create an account in Mega Man RPG Prototype, otherwise you have to have your parents sign a COPPA form in order to join and interact with other players. This isn't just a policy in Prototype either, multiple sites use it as it has the possibility to lead to legal trouble. Essentially megaman zero is on here breaking legal issues and will likely need to have their COPPA formed signed and sent in order to continue playing and interaction here at Prototype. And yes, it's entirely possible that megaman zero has already done this, but it's something I'll need to fact-check with the other staff members and to be quite frank, it's more often to see users falsify their birthdates instead to sneak past. While it's unfortunate, it's the word of the federal law and that's not necessarily something that can be argued with.

@Retro Pikachu : One of the reasons question 3 is difficult to understand is because it's a bug that's not really normal, but checking his Dr. Light team, a visual error is occurring where every robot, and I mean every, is showing up under his control. Adrian has been made aware of the bug and with any luck it can be easily fixed.

I'd really like it if there was a setting in your profile to not show deleted posts in a community thread, while I do understand the reasoning behind it for its use to show a hole in the conversation, if you're just casually reading a thread they break the flow of the conversation and only serve to be empty space.

At present, the only area where you can encounter Quint is in Bonus Field II as a surprise encounter. Please note that you can't actually unlock Quint in the stage and exists as a bit of a gratitude towards players.

Today's my Birthday. Gotta love that I'm essentially announcing a milestone that asks only that I continue to exist for another year. And existing just so happens to be the thing I do best!

@TheDoc : From what I understand it's the level of Auto's shop that goes on to expand the amount of alts, although at the moment I do think they're set instead of randomized? Buying alts do seem to cause the shop level to shoot up from what I've seen, mine personally went from up to Level 44 to Level 100 within buying most of the sets besides the darkness ones, although they might have been due to how high they were upon the beginning of the update (100,000 rather than 10,000).

@Capejedi : While I can't necessarily speak on behalf of Adrian, thank you for the anticipation towards the project! I would like to address the point of an estimated release date though, as even though I'm sure (a lot) of people have been waiting for the next major update, an estimated release date in general creates a deadline, which doesn't mix well with the inconsistent programming schedule that Prototype has, and that would lead to rushed projects which is no good. I understand a release date would help unimaginably towards the wait, but it does cause it's own problems with development. With all that being said, thank you for continuing to being patient, and thank you for playing and supporting the program in general!

While I'll be the first to admit I'm not particularly the most avid listener of fan arrangements, I'd like to bring up Dracula9AntiChapel's takes as well as Gencoil's takes on the Mega Man 10 OST, which is personally one of my favorites out of the Classic Series many soundtracks.

P.S--I was using this thread's list for background music, and hoooo I'm incredibly glad that I got to hear "Cut Man Sonata." Fantastic take on Cut Man's theme.

Yes, it easily appeared that this Penguin was snotty. With that being said though, although Cut Man was successful, his paycheck didn't really aim to impress. The paycheck isn't the part that necessarily matters, though; It's what you do with your connections in the business that does.

What will you do next?

Cut Man quickly runs over to the nerd bear, drops the 14 pieces of paper he has, and states that hopefully he'll have more on the way. Cut Man then detaches his cutter and places it on a nearby piece of land, completely unsupervised but at the same time away from prying eyes. Cut Man starts walking towards the tree, acting nonchalant, and whispers under his breath....

No cutter....No pieces of paper....And with both of those things away, there's no grudge that the tree could possibly have against me....
