Moved.

@GammaGhost :

Moved.

@RotomSlashBlast :

Shired and Picket Man moves up. Phantasm moves right. I would’ve had him move left, but I highly doubt he has any skills in cheering someone up or being inspirational.

Speaking of someone who needs that...

Picket Man 3 uses Picket Throw on Laser Joe!

...Enough of this slug’s race. There’s only one way to put an end to this.

Wh-what the-!? How are you-!? Wh-what are you-!?

...Something is stirring...

Watching you lot struggle to leave is painful. Watching you lot be forced out, on the other hand...

...You have no hopes. Squirm and perish, like the worms you are.

...Great. As if things couldn’t get any worse.

Do not give up. It’s what he wants.

...

...Shadow. We can’t let them win. ANY of them. Not MKII, not Worship... And certainly not Beta Devil.

...I know. But what can we do?

...

...I have an idea. Just keep hosting the game. If nothing else... I know of someone who might be able to help Laser Joe. And then hopefully, he can help us in return.

...Alright. I trust you. Never thought I’d ever say those words to you ever in my life.

@I’m assuming you want me to automate this, too :

Peng has joined Team Mirage!

Mondegreen picks up the Frost Circuit!

ITEM DATA OBTAINED!

Frost Circuit
Core: Freeze
Effect: The holder gains an affinity to Freeze attacks, being healed instead of damaged. However, the holder also gains an added Weakness to Wind attacks.

Peng 1 moves 2 spaces down.

Then apparently, me and this “Sagan” have completely different opinions. Believe me, I’ve been in the Void for as long as I could remember. I’d know if something exists or doesn’t exist.
...Reminds me. If you’re ever in the Void for whatever reason, avoid the coordinates ♦♣☆☟°N and ▼✍♠✿°W. It’s the location of every single question that has never been asked. It is extremely annoying, and too long of an exposure to that place could cause one to go mad for a minimum of 3 void days... Which, mind you, is a lot longer than regular days. ...Just thought I’d share some interesting facts on the Void.

...Techno, go and pick up that Super Capsule. You may need it once we face off against the Guts Tank.
...Speaking of... Moon Jump, use one of our Speed Capsules on Time Trial. The faster we get through this dungeon, the faster we can deal with that Guts Tank.

Moon Jump uses a Speed Capsule on Time Trial, who then moves 9 spaces down. Returning Techno moves 3 spaces left and picks up the Super Capsule. Missingno. moves 2 spaces down. Both he and Time Trial uses Buster Charge.
Enemy’s Turn
Picket Man moves 3 spaces up.

Picket Man uses Picket Throw on Missingno.!
7 Damage dealt!
Blader 2 moves 3 spaces right and 2 spaces up.

Blader 2 uses Blader Slicer on Time Trial!
1 Damage dealt!
Blader 1 moves 3 spaces up and 6 spaces left.
Blader 1 uses Blader Swarm on Moon Jump!
The first attack missed...
6 Damage dealt!
The third attack missed...

“From a lore perspective”, the only possible answer to that question is “Mystery Dungeons are stupidly strange”. And even then, it’s far from a good answer. So if the only possible answer to a question is a dumb answer... Then perhaps refrain from asking such dumb questions.

@Ninja Phantom :

Time Trial has reached the stairs!
Team Error Log moves on to the next floor!

@Proto Man MKII :

Berry MKII uses Experience Boost!
Berry MKII now earns double the EXP from this floor! (Which, probably won’t matter if none of Team Prototype has the will to defeat that Picket Man...)

Also, a side note: I saw your little “To Do List”. I won’t reveal much, but... I’d like it if you refrain from the MKII vs. Everyone with MMRPG Characters idea. I’ve learned quite a long time ago that people won’t exactly take kindly to their characters being used without permission anymore. Especially if you intend to involve a certain purple Pokemon alongside those characters.

@GammaGhost :

One because of Timeless. Because even if you’re a giant, one-eyed press with great jumping skills (and expert chess skills, too, apparently), you’re still going to be slowed down.

...But perhaps there is a way to cheat the system... An enemy would be required for this, however. ...Perhaps someone on Team Prototype can provide an example?

...
...Master. Are you sure you’re not concerned about-
His plans will fail. I doubt that the human behind “Walter” has any real intention of letting Worship win. And regardless of whatever power Worship claims to have... Not even the Reapers or the “Trio of Origin” have the power to enter the REAL World.
...And even if Worship DOES win? ...It will not matter. My world is in no danger, for it is less connected to MMRPG than one may think.
...In conclusion, he is of no threat to us. So we have no reason to try and be a threat to him.
But what of Beta Devil? Or whatever Rotom’s Reaper tried to seal in the void?
...While I may have a theory or two on who the latter may be... The both of them are just as irrelevant. They both claim to be able to win... But as long as the real world remains out of our reach, whether they will win or lose- the latter being most likely- is simply beyond their control.
...And what about your victory? Aren’t you just as powerless against this sort of thing?
...
...My intention isn’t victory. It is satisfaction.

Team Fractal Requiem has arrived!

Shired uses the Timeless Code!
The floor’s weather was changed to Timeless!

... *Clapping* Well done, Phantasm. Very well played.
Not ONLY have you played Team MKII, as well as your other opponents in this little “race” of ours... But you have also played yourself.
You see, what the Timeless Weather does is reduce the speed of ALL robots on the field to 1 space, regardless of whatever amount of SPD they may have. ...That includes your OWN robots, as well as yourself, regardless of whether or not it was you who had caused it.
...Well. All robots except for Time Core or Subcore robots, of course. Oh, if only there was a single one on this floor...
...Oh, wait. There is. MY robot, to be exact. And would you look at that? He has just enough SPD to reach the stairs leading to the next floor.
And, boy, I sure will enjoy beating that Guts Tank all by myself. After all, unless any of you happen to have some kind of ability or OTHER weather item to use... I’m afraid your situation is permanent.
...You did this to stop MKII from taking over the Guts Tank, correct? ...Well, just to teach you a lesson about doing things without thinking... I think I’ll corrupt the Guts Tank myself.

Wait, that’s ille-

Oh, settle, would you? I said I would corrupt the Guts Tank. I never said ANYTHING about putting it on my team. After all, believe it or not, I have standards.
...Let’s be honest. If I really did have no standards for this game... Nobody would even be able to defeat the Guts Tank, because I would have Cheated my way STRAIGHT to the final boss. Or, Distortion World... I would’ve hacked this game to have the final boss in my party right now. And it would be levels FAR beyond what is supposed to be the maximum.
...Of course, none of that is happening, nor will I even THINK of it. Because, regardless of what any of you may think, I have restraints. I said it before, and I’ll say it again: I am only here simply to waste time, simply due to having nothing better to do at the moment. Increasing my ranks is merely a beneficial side effect.

Then what would be the point of corrupting the Guts Tank?

...I understand that I wish to torture you, and that you, seeing me as an enemy and threat, wish to stop me from doing so. But do not attempt it. Any attempt to do so only adds fuel to the fire. And that fire will consume you eventually. So I’d think long and hard about how long you wish to burn in it.

Thank you, master. I shall await your next command back at the reserves.

Something wrong, Missingno.?

Nothing is wrong. It’s just that the color scheme reminds me of...
...It’s nothing. Just... an interesting thought.

@GammaGhost :

Nope. Once an ability is replaced or lost, it’s gone. The only way to get it back is to find the Ability Upgrade (AU) of it and relearn the ability. And even then, it’ll only get rid of the Ability you decide to replace it with.

This is why you must think before you choose any impactful action. It’s simply the nature of anything strategy-related.

...Do not be mistaken. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Corrupted Tentacle comes from out of the user’s back, not from out of the ground. And even then, I wouldn’t be able to reach the Metall from over here with that attack... Not that this game’s system would allow it. ...I had to force THAT attack through the system enough as is. (At least it was a core type that is actually compatible with this game...)
...No. That was a summoned tentacle from an old, ancient creature that I believe you mortals know as “Lord Helix”. I have... certain ties. To ancient entities, if you could recall. These wings? Aerodactyl. That scythe? It was made from the skeletal arm of a Kabutops. I figured it would’ve been obvious where the tentacles come from. I guess not.
...Then again, of course you’d think it was something of your reaper’s creation, considering he’s so self-centered... Perhaps that is where you got your ego. ...Perhaps it’s where Rotom got his ego.

...THAT. Could be any member of your worthless little team. So I’d think twice about getting in my way again. ESPECIALLY when it results in attacking my team directly.
...I already lost interest in killing you outright. I already plan on destroying your little leader. In fact, I’m close enough to him that I could force him into a wrong turn, to wander through his mind forever. Do not make the torture I intend on putting you through any worse than it is already going to be. Because frankly, I have far better things to be doing than to waste time torturing worthless piles of garbage.
...Like some upgrades, for Techno. I need to change his Bane to something that isn’t attack, so that he’s not so useless. Or, perhaps a radar, to more easily find some P-Chips. ...Perhaps I need some modifications myself, for this suit? I have some ideas in mind...
...Like, say, the Levitate ability. I could think of a few good uses for it. Or, perhaps I should steal one of the Bootcamp’s Item Nullifiers and implant it into my suit? ...Or, what about some kind of technology that prevents me from being captured even by a Master Ball... Not even 15 of them.
...Huh. How odd... You seem a bit uneasy, Phantasm... How about a tip? Do not share your plans with Beta Shadow, even in private. Because I WILL see them. I am not a naive idiot like the other 4th Wall Breakers. I actually pay attention to these things.

Bomb Man joins Team Prototype!
The team is currently too full! Bomb Man is sent to the reserves!

@Inconspicuous User :

Moved.

@RotomSlashBlast :

Well, here’s the thing about that:

Automating a turn happens when someone is too late to post. However, you weren’t too late to post; you just didn’t post any actions for Fractal Requiem.

This is also why, whenever pokeepoo makes any posts that are just dialogue and (mostly) no actions, I set them to not do anything; It’s because pokeepoo had a chance to make actions, but didn’t take that chance. (Of course, why I still have them in the game at this point is rather questionable. But, in the off chance they do ever return...)

Anyways, moved.

Automated Turn

Hm, it appears I must make the choice for you, Gamma. And I feel like, business-wise (since your team IS a company), the appropriate answer would be... Yes, Picket Man will join the team.

...Though, of course, he’ll have to go into reserves, since the team is currently full.

Anyways, Biostar Acorn moves up 5. Vat Man moves up 2, right 1, then up 1. Big Eye leaps up 2 while Sniper Joe moves up 1.
Enemy’s Turn

guts-man_alt Oh, so ya think you’re gonna walk right past me, eh? I don’t think so, pal! Nobody gets to the Big Boss while I’M around!
Guts Man moves left and up, then uses Super Arm, creating a block to the left of him.

WEAPON DATA OBTAINED!

Super Arm
Core: Impact
Power: 6
Range: 1
WE Cost: 6
Effect: Places a Super Arm block in a space adjacent to the user. This block acts as a wall to everyone, including allies. However, Super Throw can be used to throw this block down an adjacent path, dealing great damage. However, not only can enemies also throw the block through use of Super Throw, but certain attacks can break the block completely, as well. (Though, what moves can and cannot break through Super Arm blocks will have to be confirmed with me.)
Obtain Conditions: Level 4+ Impact or Shield Core

guts-man_alt (Haha... Guts Man, you genius! Not only are you blocking the stairs, but you’re about to crush them with a large boulder, that surely nobody will be able to use against you! Surely, this plan can’t possibly backfire!)

WEAPON GET: Hyper Bomb! Team Prototype, who among you will acquire this weapon? (That may or may not be costly for your Weapon Energy due to lack of an Explode Core robot. Discarding the weapon is always an option, mind you.)
...Oh? It appears Bomb Man wishes to join Team Prototype! Accept?

...Congratulations, Laser Joe. For once again stealing MY team’s kill, you have furthered the pain and torment I will put you through before slaughtering your little team one by one. And you’ll be happy to know that, officially, you will die last.
...In fact, I do hope that after Team MKII demolishes Fractal Requiem and acquires control over that egotistical leader of theirs- or whatever MKII well pleases to do with him-, they stick around after... Because I am starting to consider making sure that your little “Commander” of yours that he’s currently controlling will, if he even manages to escape, wake up not in a body... But a CORPSE.

You know, to be fair on Laser Joe’s behalf... If he didn’t steal your victory, Bomb Man would’ve actually killed Time Trial, instead.

I am aware of this.

...So shouldn’t you be thankful for him helping you?

What Laser Joe did wasn’t “helpful”. It was “interrupting the flow of progression”. Much like how Walt’s late posting interrupted the flow of this update.

I-

...You know what, my words are empty to you and MKII alike. I’m not going to even try to reason with you psychopaths anymore.

Blader Swarm cannot reach Picket Man from 2 spaces away. Blader Slicer, however, can.

Blader uses Blader Slicer on Picket Man!
1 Damage dealt!

Automated Turn

2 Damage dealt!

Sniper Joe moves a space up.

Sniper Joe uses Buster Shot on Picket Man!
1 Damage dealt!
Picket Man is disabled!
Sniper Joe earns 13 EXP
Vat Man earns 6 EXP
Biostar Acorn earns 6 EXP
Blader earns 6 EXP
...Oh? It appears Picket Man wishes to join Team Biostar Company! Accept?

...Well, that was a good break. What have I missed out on, Ghost?

Well, I decided to give Core Laser to Enayrk’s team. You know, since you had the brilliant idea of making the only available T0 Neutral and Crystal weapons absolutely useless, as well as all of the other T1 Neutral and Crystal weapons they could equip.

I-

...Actually, you know what? Fair enough. What about Prototype?

He’s surviving still. Somehow. Can’t say that it’ll last for the REST of his team, though...

...What happened.

Team Prototype’s Big Eye... May or may not have convinced Laser Joe to kill that one Batton that Missingno. specifically said NOT to let anyone else but Techno kill.

...Why???

I dunno, something about “not being taken seriously” and “punching the biggest guy they could punch”. They... Weren’t exactly here for the memo.

Yeah, that would do it. Well, surely Team Prototype’s wise enough to NOT take on such a risky challenge again, right?

It is unlikely that they won’t end up in a battle that may cause them their deaths.

.

And considering Phantasm wants to take a crack at MKII, and MKII is interested in adding to his collection, you may want to consider doing that little contingency plan of yours again twice.

.

You need another break? I can do today's update, too, if you prefer-

No no, it's fine. I can handle it.

Suit yourself.
