@BenPlusYT : Hi, welcome to our community! I'm terribly, terribly sorry that you had to play through the demo; to be quite frank, it's easily one of the dour spots of Prototype and has been considered rather infamous for warding up and crushing a lot of potential rookies. It's a little counter-intuitive in that sense, but hopefully the actual game is doing you much better, and I commend you for continuing to play even after going through the demo.

@Marko RUS :

Showing Off Your Stars!
"As a result of her growing studies, Kalinka has been depended increasingly on scanning stars for the sake of furthering her research. Due to this, she’s asked the player doctors to bring in their stars whenever able for scanning, and she’s offered an incentive to get them to do so. Stars can now be scanned for trade of large sums of Zeni, providing a benefit to Zeni-struggling players out there. While previously stars could be sold for cash, this has been reevaluated; asking the player to sell their hard-earned Starforce, even for high prices, was unfair in retrospect. In contrast to this, scanning your stars will not cause the star to be lost from your collection for the sake of convenience (there’s that word again!) It’s worth noting that the stars’ price will often vary on the condition and compact quality of the star itself, and as such fused fields in particular tend to offer higher prices compared to regular stars. There’s also another direct advantage to the process of scanning your stars, as scanning is essentially recyclable. Stars can be scanned up to multiple times for continued cash, after a fair amount of reprieve and time has passed for the star to be scanned again. As such, while having a plethora of stars can certainly speed up the process, users with smaller samples of stars can make effective use of this process too."

It appears that in all the rampant Holiday commotion yesterday... We may have missed one last feature to add! :)

Stars Chapter
2018 Game Update: Explore the Star Fields
As a final treat for the year and in the lead-up to New Years Eve, we've added a new feature to the Prototype that makes hunting for Starforce so much easier and more convenient it's almost maddening we didn't think of it sooner. A new tab labelled "Stars" will now appear in the mission select screen once you've beaten the main campaign and unlocked the post-game "bonus" chapters. The new "Star Fields" chapter will randomly generate missions for any field or fusion stars you don't already have to help you on your quest to collect all 1024. Because these are post-game missions, they reward zenny instead of battle points and are there for the sole purpose of collecting new stars for those who opt to take advantage of it. The robots found in these missions start at Level 50 but grow stronger as you inch closer to 100% completion, making some of these the toughest non-player fights in the game. In addition to the new Star Fields chapter there are a two other small changes to the bonus chapters. Firstly, the "Bonus" tab has been renamed "Random" (as that's what it really is) and both randomized missions within now have a full eight targets to fight (so its easier to encounter new bots). Secondly, the zenny received from Player Battles has been greatly increased and should now be be worth the extra effort needed to clear them. Okay, that's it - enjoy!

Hi,

there's been an excess amount of conversationalist posts going on in this thread recently; while discussion in most general circumstances is fantastic, you've likely picked up by the sheer fact this post has been written that this isn't one of those cases. For the sake of absolute clarity and conciseness in this character election, please keep offside commentary to a minimum. Discussion for the tournament can be held in the MMRPG Discord Chatroom, as it generally has been for the majority of the tournament. Cluttering up this thread with distracting, albeit lighthearted, comments could lead to unforeseen errors in the possible success and results of a bracket, and we certainly wouldn't want that to occur. As such, any posts not containing actual votes (and that includes voting for both >_>) I have chosen to delete side comments for the overall benefit of Mikey's thread. I'm sorry if that happened to be particularly fun for you, but unfortunately that's not the overall purpose the thread has, and it'd be a shame to have popcorn comments act as a detriment towards the voting process. Besides, tallying results simply as a consumer to be aware of know early of my Cut boy's demise was getting awfully difficult...

Sorry for the inconvenience, folks.

Beyond anything else, one factor has remained consistent in the entirety of the game's development; entire team area of effect attacks are absolutely the highest priority in taking out enemies before eight turns. Rain Flush has always been a popular option, though it has been nerfed and buffed and nerfed throughout the years. I'm sure there's some sort of held item Rain Flush support strategy that exists out there that really skims the system and takes out a team within a couple of turns. Especially with the lower health amounts now.
