With so much content, it's hard for users to keep track of who's done what in the prototype. So I created this thread for the everyone's convenience, so no-one has to manually navigate the leaderboards for their information again!

This thread will be the billboard of important milestones and user/leaderboard statistical information and records (e.g. members of the 1024 club). If anyone wants to correct me on anything or want to suggest other stats, feel free to comment below!

Current limits

Ever since the 2k16 BP system reboot, there is a limit to the amount of BP a player can earn. Here is the theoretical limit of the number of BP a player can earn and the number of missions a player can do, based on the calculations below:

These calculations assume that:
- Every mission is completed in a single turn
- Every mission is completed on their highest difficulty level and on the largest possible amount of target turns
- Every field and fusion mission are completed with a star
- Every fusion mission is completed with the RNG generating the most BP that can be rewarded

How to reach the limit

To ensure that the leaderboards doesn't implode on itself again, I've decided to omit the guide. Those who want to know the best way to collect the most BP must found out on their own now

The new 2k16 BP system is based on the total of the high scores from all missions. Because there's a limit both in the amount of missions and the how high the scores can be, there must be a limit to how much BP a single player can get. Recently, I've been doing an investigation on what that theoretical limit is. So with the help of my graphing calculator, let's do the math!

For those who aren't bothered to read through all the calculations, here is the theoretical limit both of missions and BP so far:

Calculating how many missions can be completed

One may think that the number of missions in MMRPG is equal to the normal campaign missions, plus the star force missions. So we just look for the highest mission count in the leaderboards and call it a day. Wrong.

From recent investigations, there are two more factors that need to be considered. First of all, whether or not a mission awards you with a field/fusion star does not make it two missions. So that means the normal Cut Man mission from the campaign and the Cut Man field star mission that is playable after completing the campaign are one mission.

Second of all, because of the gimmick of swapping fields around all 3 players, all 1024 field missions, and fusion missions can be played 3 times across all three players.

Taking this into consideration, the total number of missions is equal to 3x all the field missions and fusion missions, plus all of the other campaign missions. This is numerically expressed as:

3*1024+15 = 3087

This thread is about an ongoing Youtube/TAS project that's been going on for months now: TAS of the official Mega Man Classic games while taking no damage, no misses, uncharged buster only and no glitches! Any questions, concerns or feedback, please do that in the comments!

Please note that progress is slow. In life, there's always something else to commit to and doing TAS is long and extensive work. As you can already tell, many things here are still raw and need consideration, but they will be resolved soon enough. Remember that I'm still an amateur in making TAS, so there will be plenty of mistakes in these runs. But no worries, they're still only experimental and might be redone later on.

@MegaBossMan : Although the thought of a complete wipeout does make me shudder, I feel like it has to happen at some point, so before that happens, I request for there to be an archive of the current leaderboard, so that the remnants of the current leaderboard will still be known and everyone's hard work doesn't go to complete waste.

After seeing the leaderboards develop over the past couple of months, I've realised that this guide is overpowering many users. So that no more users will rely on this guide and that the leaderboards don't implode on itself again, I've completely omitted the guide, while only letting the calculations remain.

Today, with a burst of motivation, I reclaimed the no. 1 position on the leaderboard. Though I do expect Boss to catch up next day anyway.

Honestly, I'm surprised that the Megas haven't been listed yet.

Today is the beginning of another school break! And to start it off, I completed my 100% run and then a speedrun of AM2R: Return of Samus. I ended with a short time of 1:47. If you're a Metroid fan, definitely play this game.

Anyways, now that I'm on break, it means more MMRPG!

@Brimstone : Shame I wasn't there when it happened. I would've totally taken that opportunity to rename myself 'Robotics specialist' or something similar.

@Mentle This isn't really a competition, as creating quotes for robot masters with existing quotes is a little redundant :P

Burst Man (and all the other robot masters) have quotes as you can see here and Nitro Man has sprites, but only in the world version so far. He won't be in the Prototype version any time soon.

This is a day late, but I finally made it to 1st :D... for a few hours before Boss took it back. But at least I have the star!

Recently, I've discovered that redoing the same star force mission with the same player increases the support bot count. In the first few star force rematches, I discover that when the support bot count is two, the target turns increases to 36 and the max BP possible when playing as Cossack is 790,000. I suspect the support bot count will cap out at 4, which would mean that you would have to do each match 4 times to reach the support bot count cap, which would mean that you would have to collect all star force at least 12 times to reach the max BP. However, although I doubt it, the support bot/rematch count may be carried over from the non-star force versions of the fusion missions. With so much potential information that can be discovered, more extensive research will be required. I estimate that the new BP limit will be around 17 million BP.

Metal Slug series. I've only played it on an emulator, but my brother and I had some fun nights mowing down enemy troops and gunships.

Another one of my favs is Taiko no Tatsujin, which I've played on an actual cabinet, iOS, Android, DS, and Wii, because I love me some rhythm games :D. I'm also looking forward to trying out Project Diva.
