Hello!

I am making this because I function solely on impulses.

...Anyway, welcome to a CYOA comic of sorts featuring everyone's favorite Mega Man recolor, Beta Man!

There will be some actual pages posted here on ComicFury, as well as rules and character statuses. However, I will be posting comic pages on their own in this thread. (I will also be putting here an archive containing the pages on Comic Fury.)

Nothing else to say, so let the chaos begin.

So, I had this idea in mind for quite some time now, and I figured now would be a fun time to start it. There's no story since it's just kicking the of an overpowered monstrosity while simultaneously getting your own kicked by said overpowered monstrosity, so I'll just get straight to the rules:

1. Everyone must create their own base character. Each character has 30 stat points to give to each of the stats below:
Energy - The amount of damage your character can take. Every point towards this stat is multiplied by 20.
Weapons - The amount of weapon energy you have. Every point towards this stat is doubled.
Attack - The strength of your attacks.
Defense - How much is reduced from attacks dealt to you.
Speed - Dictates turn order.

Each player must also give their character the following:

Icon - A mugshot to represent your character. (Optional)
Core Type - The element of which your character is strongest with. Attacks of this element are 50% stronger and cost 2/3 of Weapon Energy.
Sub Type - The element of which your character is second strongest with. Attacks of this element are 25% stronger and cost 3/4 of Weapon Energy. (Optional)
Weakness - The element of which your character is weak against. Attacks of this element are 50% stronger against you. Can have up to 2 and no less than 1.
Resistance - The element of which your character is strong against. Attacks of this element are 50% weaker against you. Can have up to 2 and no less than 1.
3 Abilities - Can be either of your own creation or chosen from the Weapons Library. See Rule #11 for more detail.

These type-based features can be ANY elemental type featured within MMRPG itself. This INCLUDES types such as Empty, Energy, Light, etc.
2. At the start of each month, a new raid boss appears. This raid boss will be the same level as the highest-level player and will have the same stat points available to them, except that the raid boss will have infinite health.
3. The goal of the game is to deal as much damage to the Raid Boss as possible. The person who deals the most damage to the raid boss by the end of the month becomes the next raid boss.
4. After every 1,000 damage, the multiplier of the raid boss' stats increase, making them stronger.
5. If a player loses all their health, they will be unable to act for one turn; Afterwards, they will return to battle with all health and weapon energy, but they will also drop all stat buffs/debuffs that were placed on them.
6. Players will recover 1 Weapon Energy on each turn; All players will also have a 0-WE Buster Shot weapon that they can use to conserve WE, or for if they are out of Weapon Energy.
7. If a player does not post an action after ~24 hours since their last post, their turn will be automated.
8. After a raid boss leaves, the player with the most cumulative damage will become the next raid boss. Raid Bosses are created via private messages to me either through the site or through Discord so that their elemental weaknesses and resistances can remain hidden.
8.5. You can choose to either create a new raid boss or reuse/add features to an old one.
9. While participating as the raid boss, the user will be unable to participate in the raid as their none-raid character.
10. Additionally, cumulative damage for each player is converted into experience points. Players with enough experience will level up upon being disabled or reaching the end of the raid, receiving:
-10 more stat points that they can give to any stat they desire
-Another new weapon every even-numbered level (created or library)
-And that's it lol
11. Weapons have five aspects:
Core Type - 1-2 elements that control what Weaknesses or Resistances are triggered.
Cost - How much Weapon Energy is required to use the move.
Accuracy - The chance a move has of succeeding.
Power - The strength of a move. Limit of 15 Damage, +15 more per 2 WE cost
Effect - Any additional effects the move can have (multiple hits, stat changes, etc.) Limit 1, +1 per 4 WE cost. See Page 1, Post #4 for additional detail.
12. These events are typically made with no story to them; However, if you wish to provide story and/or dialogue to make things more interesting, feel free.
13. Keep in mind that everything here is mostly experimental at the moment; If there is ANYTHING that you feel that needs rebalancing, do NOT be afraid to tell me so.

...Previously...

...And now...
Welcome, one and all, to the resurgence of the MMRPG Trading Card Game: a place where you can create and collect trading cards based off of Mega Man, the MMRPG Community, or just about anything your hearts desire, then use them in battle against other players.

...Yeah, in case it wasn't made clear, I've done this before. Twice. But they became inactive due to particular... balancing issues. So I've strayed away from the TCG for a long while, and was intent on leaving it dead... Until sometime in 2020, where the Chaotic Mysteries of Legacies and what-Ifs left me wondering what sort of cards would be created these days if I left it living.

...And then I stopped working on it for a few months. Whoops. Also technically Lore-wise Ninja Phantom made this but he isn't Pseudoreaper anymore so it doesn't matter.

Rules:
- There are 4 types of cards: Robots, Items, Weapons, and Fields.
Robots- Basically the most important cards of the game. They attack opposing Robot cards to knock them into 0 HP. If you run out of Robot cards, you lose the game.
Items- Helpful cards that can restore HP, increase stats, and hinder opponents. However, once used, they must be discarded, and cannot be used again.
Weapons- Provides a single use of an attack not in the robot’s 3-space weapon slots. These cost extra WE to use, however, and- much like the Item cards- are single-use.
Fields- Alters the battlefield to boost or hinder cards of specific elements with elemental multipliers. Can also apply multipliers of Damage and Recovery. (Not Experience, though. That has no purpose here.)
- When starting off, you are to choose between 3 different starter decks. More information on the individual cards can be seen in the “Shop” section.
Dr. Light Starter Deck - Met (RC), Sniper Joe (RC), Mega Man (RC), Roll (RC), Energy Pellet (IC), Weapon Pellet (IC), Gentle Countryside (FC)
Dr. Wily Starter Deck - Heli Met (RC), Skeleton Joe (RC), Bass (RC), Disco (RC), Energy Pellet (IC), Weapon Pellet (IC), Maniacal Hideaway (FC)
Dr. Cossack Starter Deck - Swim Met (RC), Crystal Joe (RC), Proto Man (RC), Rhythm (RC), Energy Pellet (IC), Weapon Pellet (IC), Wintry Forefront (FC)
- The current card maximum for a deck is 30. Any excess cards are sent to storage.
- You cannot use alt accounts just to have a second game.
- Seeing as this is a Trading Card Game, you are indeed allowed to trade with others. You may also sell cards for Zenny; Each card sells for 5 Zenny each.
- Yes, you earn Zenny in this game; Zenny allows you to buy even more cards. See the “Shop” section for more information.
- You start with no Zenny whatsoever; You earn 10 Zenny for every victory you obtain. 5 Zenny is recieved as either consolation for losing a battle or winning a battle against a "CPU" player (which will come some time in the future).
  - For every 5-win streak, you may receive a Mega Coin. More information in the “Shop” section.
- As stated above, you can create your OWN cards. See the “Card Creator” for more information.
- In a battle, up to 8 robots are on the field at a time: one as the currently active card, and 7 others to be placed on the bench. The currently active robot can switch out with these 7 benched robots at any point, but at the cost of a turn.
  - Additionally, if the currently active robot is disabled, the robot is discarded, and replaced with a robot from the bench. Only when this happens can a robot card be moved from the deck and into the bench.
  - Certain attacks have the ability to harm cards in the bench. In these cases, weaknesses and resistances are ignored. Attack buffs and debuffs, however, are not.
- The battles- including coin flips and other specifics- are controlled by me. The only say you have in the battle is the move you make on your turn. Since I have proven to be terrible at this, I have decided to void this rule and instead allow players to provide their own coin flips and the like- just please be honest and show evidence of results. If you wish to have me deal with them, then simply ask. (Obviously, I cannot guarantee that I'd follow through.)
- If you feel like anything requires rebalancing, please inform me in private. (Be it through Discord or through forum PMs.)
Card Creator

- In the past versions of MMRPG TCG, I have allowed you to keep the cards you created. Not this time. If you want the cards you made so badly, you’ll have to buy the pack they’re in, and hope you get lucky.
  - To make this easier, there are packs in the shop that contain all the cards made by specific users.
- Form changing and core changing is currently unallowed. I'll probably think about it for the future, though.
- Each card has a rarity that determines how common/easy the card is to obtain. This ALSO affects the stat limit of all cards. These rarities are:
* (1 Star): Common
** (2 Stars): Uncommon
*** (3 Stars): Rare
- The first attack slot can be replaced with a Power (passive ability). But ONLY the first attack slot. (Additionally, Common robots cannot have Powers.)
- Below are the sections of each Robot card described in detail:
Name - Self-explanatory: the name of the Robot this card is based on.
Core - The element of the card. May or may not hold any true importance towards the impact of the game.
Rarity - The rarity of the card. Refer to above.
HP - The amount of Health the robot has. If this is lowered to 0, the robot is defeated.
(Limits: Min- 50 | * Max- 100 | ** Max- 300 | *** Max- 500)
WE - The amount of Weapon Energy the robot has. This works in conjunction with Attack costs, and is replenished by 1 on each turn.
(Limits: Min- 5 | * Max- 10 | ** Max- 15 | *** Max- 20)
Attack/Power Name - The name of the attack/ability. Each robot, as stated before, has 3 attack slots, with the first slot available as a passive ability.
Damage - The amount of damage the attack deals under normal conditions.
(Limits: * Max- 30 | ** Max- 50 | *** Max- 70)
Attack Type - The element of the attack. Affected by Weaknesses and Resistances.
Attack Cost - The amount of WE needed to use the attack.
Attack/Power Description - Additional information for the attack. (Coin flips, results of coin flips, ect.)
Weakness - The element that deals +50% more damage to this robot. All robots must have a weakness. (Limit: 1)
Resistance - The element that deals half damage to this robot. Like weaknesses, all robots must have a resistance. (Limit: 1)
Speed - The stat that determines which robot typically goes first in a battle, depending on which is higher.
(Limit: Min- 50 | * Max- 100 | ** Max- 200 | *** Max- 300)
Source - The game/roleplay/series the robot originates from. (Optional)
Flavor Text - A little bit of text that describes the robot in question. (Optional)
- Below are the sections of each Item card in detail:
Name - The name of the item this card is based off of.

(Limits: * Max- x2 w/ 1 Element | ** Max- x4 w/ 3 Elements | *** Max- x6 w/ 5 Elements)
Debuffs - States what elements are weakened by the field.
(Limits: * Max- /2 w/ 1 Element | ** Max- /4 w/ 3 Elements | *** Max- /6 w/ 5 Elements)
Source - The game/roleplay/series the field originates from. (Optional)
Flavor Text - A little bit of text that describes the field in question. (Optional)
Shop

- The Shop is where you can buy more cards and grow your deck... Or your ever-expanding collection. Your choice.
- You can purchase cards from particular packs, located here.
  - Any card you make will go into a pack labelled “*Username Here* Set”.
  - You may also request to create your own sets if you feel so inclined.
  - If you want your card to be in another person’s set, you MUST ask the card creator’s permission to do so. Same goes for putting another person’s card in your Set.
- The price for 3 cards is 5 Zenny, 10 Zenny will grant you 7 cards, and 15 Zenny will grant you 12.
- The cards you get is determined by random selection, based on rarity:
* Cards: 60% Chance | ** Cards: 30% Chance | *** Cards: 10% Chance
- The Mega Coin allows you to buy any card you desire without having to worry about randomization.

It is the year 20XX. And humans... No longer exist. In their place are industrial humanoid robots known as Robot Masters, and the Mechas that live alongside them in peace. However, peace doesn't always last... A threat to the world of Robot Masters looms above, and it is up to an unlikely crew of robots to save the day... But are they up to the task? Are YOU up to the task? The world's fate rests in your hands...

After the release of Retro Pikachu's remake of Tails' Lab Defense, I decided I wanted to make a new roleplay myself, in hopes of reviving the MMRPG roleplaying community. And with the release of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, I decided "hey, why not?"
How to Play: (Or, in other words, "Beta just copy-pasted the rules from Retro's Lab Defense lol")

Ok, so you know how PMD games would have you take one step per turn, your partner would follow behind, and all the enemies would then take a step? Yeah, no, let's toss that turn system out the window. Being only able to take one step at a time might work for a video game, but for a forum roleplay? Yeah, WAY too sluggish. So, yeah, we'll be using some different mechanics. And, ok, sure, I may have stol- er, borrowed, the mechanics of Lab Defense, but hey, if the system works, it works. And besides, I've added and removed some things to make it a bit more Mystery Dungeon-esque...

Your journeys will take place in randomly assembled maps called Mystery Dungeons. The maps will be based off of Lab Defense, however, because I'm not going to bother trying to make an entire Mystery Dungeon map on my own. Too much effort for a simple forums roleplay.

Each robot on the field can take a certain number of steps at a time. Afterwards, they can use an attack, use an item in their inventory, or they can simply just wait. However, you CANNOT move after attacking or using an item. After all players have taken their turn, the enemies will have THEIR phase.

To make a move, either leave a reply in the thread or ping me in the Roleplay channel on Discord. If you don't make a move after ~24 hours of the start of your phase, your turn will be automated. At a certain point, however, I will stop automating your turn and just plain set you on idle; Believe it or not, this rule is NOT set up to have me play the game for you.

There are two kinds of allies: Teammates and Players. Teammates are other robots who are part of your Team, and are to be controlled by you as well. Teammates will follow you to the next floor once the floor's objective is complete. You may only have 4 teammates in the dungeon at a time, with two spaces reserved for the leader and partner. That may change in the postgame, however. On the other hand, there are Players. These allies are, of course, other users and their teammates who happen to be in the same dungeon and on the same floor as you. As they are from a different team, however, they will NOT follow you to the next floor. I may or may not make some exceptions during the introduction phase.

When you gain a level, your stats will increase, and you may or may not gain a new Weapon depending on your stat boons and your core types. You will gain EXP from defeating foes and clearing missions. Defeating foes will ALSO grant your Teammates half of the EXP gained from defeating them.

While some floors will require you to find the stairs in order to progress, there are also several other objectives for you to accomplish. We'll be discussing what some of these objectives may be in the future.

Character Creation:

Are you a human being sent into our world to save us all, or just another robot who lives in the world naturally? The answer is, that's for you to decide. Either way, I'm not going to do some PMD-style quiz to determine what Robot Master you are. Why? Because just giving you a small handful of options for who you'll be is absolutely lame. Instead, you get to make the decision of who you are- and who your partner will be- for yourself. And yes, you will be required to make TWO characters instead of just one.

Here is the character sheet:

Team Name:

Name:
Icon:
HP:
WE:
ATK:
DEF:
SPD:

Core:
Subcore:
Weakness:
Resistance:

And now, an in-depth look at what these are:

Team Name- The name of your team. This has been added after the Introduction phase, because we’re not going through it again. This wasn’t a part of it to begin with for story reasons.

Name- The name of the robot, obviously.
Icon- The icon the robot you'll be using. Refer to the [robot] or [mecha] formats for use of their mugshots (custom mugs are welcome, too, through use of the [image] formatting).

Stats:
You will have a total of 25 points to spend on 5 different stats. Spend them wisely. Or don't. Your choice. Just know that you can't spend any more than 25.

HP- Health Points, also known as Energy. How much damage you take before you fall. Each point spent on this stat is 2 HP.
WE- Weapon Energy. It is the cost of your Special Weapons. Replenishes 1 WE on each turn. Each point spent on this stat is 2 WE.
ATK- Attack. Increases how much damage you deal.
DEF- Defense. Decreases how much damage you take.
SPD- Speed. Determines how far you can move. Each step is 2 SPD.

In addition to the points given to the stats, you can add one Boon and Bane to them. A Boon will add 2 extra points to the stat, and will increase its growth. It also controls what kind of passive Special Weapons you can obtain, as well as your Ability 2. A Bane will remove 2 points from that stat, and will slow down its growth. You can NOT have one over the other.

Core- Your main Core type. Determines the kind of elemental Special Weapons you can obtain, as well as your Ability 1.
Subcore- Your secondary Core type. Also determines the kind of elemental Special Weapons you can obtain, but to a lesser extent (meaning you can only obtain the buster weapons and Tier 1 weapons of this type).

Do note that you can use ANY type within Prototype EXCEPT for Copy Core, which has been replaced with Neutral. In addition, your partner cannot be the same Core or Subcore type as you.

Weakness- Attacks of this type deal more damage.
Resistance- Attacks of this type deal less damage.

You MUST have a Weakness and Resistance. Failure to apply this will cause me to assign one to you based on how I personally feel they should be.

The following is determined by your stat boon and Core type.

Weapons: Your Special Weapons that can be utilized after moving. You can only have 8 Special Weapons at a time. In addition, you will be given a singular Basic Attack that costs no Weapon Energy and take up no Special Weapon slots.
Abilities: Your special abilities that will activate under specific conditions. You will only have 2, but they can be changed through the use of specific items.

And this LAST "stat" is determined by your progression through the roleplay.

Rank: The Ranking of your Team, which can be raised by completing missions. Ranking up grants you more inventory spaces for items, increases the number of missions available for everyone, and may even gift you some other rewards.

EXAMPLE:

Team Name: Team Beta and Mega

Name: Beta Man
Icon:
HP: 5
WE: 6
ATK: 5(+)
DEF: 4(-)
SPD: 5

Core: Shadow
Subcore: Time
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Flame

Name: Mega Man X-7
Icon: mega-man_flame
HP: 6
WE: 5(-)
ATK: 4
DEF: 5
SPD: 5(+)

Core: Flame
Subcore: Nature
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Laser

The resulting set-up will be...

Team Beta and Mega
Rank: Plain (0/100)

Beta Man | Level: 1 (0/50)
Core: Shadow | Subcore: Time | Weakness: Electric | Resistance: Flame
HP: 10 | WE: 12 | ATK: 9 (5+2+2) (Boon) | DEF: 2 (4-2) (Bane) | SPD: 5

Greetings, one and all! I am Beta Shadow, and...
You guys in the Discord chat... You asked for this. Be it a joke or not, you asked for this.
All-in-all, this will either be a good or bad idea for reviving the Community Threads.
But in any case, this tournament will see who is the better fighter!
Or, well, something like that.
So with introductions out of the way, let's get out of Roleplay mode here...
Ok, let's settle on the rules first:

Thread Rules
- No Mary Sues, please. If your character is OP by default, but you REALLY want them in, just tone them down to a decent amount. In other words, pls nerf
- Please stick to Robot Masters. No Fortress Bosses, Humans, or Reploids/NetNavis/Other Robot Types allowed.
- You CAN use canon Robot Masters, but do note that it's a sort of "finders keepers" sort-of thing.
- You can also use OCs as long as they are YOUR characters. But obvious rule is obvious.
- If OCs have their own weapons, please describe them so that I can properly judge them.
- Do not spam dodging, shielding, and weapons.
- Also, no "it hits regardless of _____".
- You will be making teams of 3, and can have up to 3 teams. Why? Eh, I want to do a team tournament of sorts, but didn't want to have Ninja Man work alongside Beta. Apparently that did not work out.
- You are also limited to 8 weapons. The Buster will not count for this.
- If you feel the rules need tweaking, talk with me personally instead of through the thread.

Battle Rules
- Depending on the preference of the competitors, the battles will commence either in this thread or the Discord Chat.
- Each battle in the tournament will be best 2 out of 3.
- There will be a coin flip at the start of the match. The winner of the coin flip gets to choose who fights in the first battle of the match before the other player. In the second and third round, the choice goes to whoever wins the previous fight.
- Once a team member has fought, they are unable to continue fighting until the next round.
- No items are allowed.
- Transformations ARE allowed, but it will count as a weapon. (Also, if it is OP in any shape or form, either don't use it or nerf it.)
- If the fighter has a Weapon Copy System, they are unallowed to copy another fighter's weapon.
- The fighter loses when they are knocked out.
- Refrain from killing your opponents, please.
- Lost the match? No worries, there's a Losers' Bracket to see who gets third place.
- Once you're out, you're OUT. No exceptions.
- If you are not participating in the current battle (AND I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH), do not interrupt the current battle.
- If you become inactive, you will be disqualified. (So PLEASE make sure you can actually participate before signing up.)
- Between each round, there will be a 7-day (in real-time) break for your characters to train or mingle with your opponents. Or taunt, one of the two.
- To remove possible problems with immunities and affinities, I originally planned on having all Weaknesses and such removed. However, fellow prototyper StupidStudiosN came up with a better idea: A sort-of Pokemon-styled Weakness Chart, which I have made small edits to which you can see here. If you want to know resistances, then just know your character's typing.
And here is my team:

Team Name: The Beta Trio

Member 1: Beta Man
Core: Shadow
Weapons:
Beta Blast- A ball of shadow energy that explodes on contact with opponents. (Shadow/Explode)
Beta Swordplay- Uses a fencing sword shrouded in shadow energy to fight. (Shadow/Cutter)

Based on Copyie's old Fighting Game Thread, this one is designed with a storyline. (Though, the only interaction you guys will be able to have would be with said story is who will be a part of it, and even then there's no real guarantee they will be.)

STORY:
A new source of power, known as the Ultra Gems, have been noticed worldwide. Many people wish to obtain them all for different reasons: Greed, to get stronger, for research, or to destroy them. However, with so many people fighting over them, it has been decided to hold a tournament... And the winner gets to keep all the Ultra Gems. There are 6 different kinds of Ultra Gems: Power, Defense, Speed, Intelligence, Skill, and Recovery.

But, just where did these Ultra Gems come from? Perhaps this tournament will reveal all in a way nobody would ever suspect...
The Ultra Gems, despite being the ones fought for in the game, are usable in-game as power-ups, like the Infinity Stones from MvC Infinity, except they don't have any form of extra attack. Here are the effects below in case you are curious:
None- Fight without the help of an Ultra Gem.
Power- Increases attack power.
Defense- Decreases damage taken and removes flinching and knockback.
Speed- Increases movement speed.
Intelligence- Creates a duplicate of your character to deal extra damage as well as use of a meat shield.
Skill- Reduces end lag for better combos.
Recovery- Gives the character health regeneration.
Character Sheet (Italics are optional):

Game Modes:

Freeplay Mode - Choose a fighter, choose your opponent, choose a stage, and have fun. You can also turn on Practice Mode to hone your skills with a character.

Online Mode - Play with other players around the world. (Yes, we have rollback.)

Classic Mode - You battle against 6 fighters that are randomly chosen based off of a pattern of the six fighting styles: Power, Defense, Speed, Intelligence, Skill, and Recovery, starting from your own character's fighting style. After the third match is a random Boss battle, and after the sixth match is a randomized Rival battle, followed by a final battle against ???????.

Arcade Mode - Same as Classic Mode, except all of the battles are predetermined based on the selected character. (Arcade Mode matches list coming eventually)

Story Mode - A story-based campaign centered around the origins of the Ultra Gems, and the mission of a mysterious robot who seeks them out... But the question is, is this robot friend or foe?

All modes, aside from Story Mode, are playable with 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 battles.

(Note: Since this is a collaborative writing project and not a roleplay or forum game, these modes are purely cosmetic.)

An MM8BDM-inspired thing that's KINDA like Adrian's Mansion and also KINDA it's own thing. How much is it of the two is for you to judge. And before you get triggered, this is NOT an actual Tournament Roleplay, the story is just BASED around a Tournament.

Plot
A new robotics tournament has been announced, and robots all over the world has already joined, each of them for their own reasons! To help out contestants, Doctors Light, Wily (against his own will), and Cossack have opened their labs and had their assistants work on some shops! Who will come out on top? Will it be YOU?
Rules
Because all roleplays need them to avoid chaos.

1. You can use ANY character you want. However, Main Characters/Robot Masters from the Classic Series (minus Reggae, Rush, Tango, Eddie, Beat, and Treble, because eh.) are already in the game, so those are unavailable. Mechas, on the other hand, ARE available. Also, if your character is originally human, Pokemon (looking at you, Rotom), or other, they will ONLY be classified as robots BASED on the character for the sake of this taking place in the Classic Series PLUS this being a ROBOT Tournament, though abilities will remain the same... In a sense.

1 1/2. "In a sense" meaning... Well, don't think you'll get away with having ALL your abilities straight away. There will be Upgrades in Dr. Light's shop based on the character (like Rotom's form inventory, mentioning him AGAIN), but it WILL cost you Zenny, which you will only earn by facing others.

2. Speaking of battles, when facing a main Robot Master, you have a choice to face a player who's in the same location as you in-between battles IF THEY ARE NOT BUSY THEMSELVES. Also, after each Boss, you have the option to go to the 3 Break Areas to shop and/or restore health. You are UNABLE to face each other in these areas.

2 1/2. "But Beta," you may be thinking, "what if I want to face another player WITHOUT facing a Mecha beforehand?" Well, there's a solution: There is a stage made PURELY for PvP, but the person you want to face HAS to be there as well. You can also leave at any time to return to the Break Areas.

3. Let's not forget THIS important thing: Stats! There are FIVE different stats, and each one increases depending on who you face!
HP: Health
Self-explanatory, really.

Wep: Weapon Energy
Essentially the "Mana" of the game. This fuels how many times you can use a Robot Master Weapon.

Atk: Attack
This affects your attacks. The Dmg (Damage) of your regular attack equals this divided by half rounded down. Robot Master Weapons usually use the #*(Atk/5) rule.

Def: Defense
This affects how protected you are from attacks from REGULAR enemies. (Dmg Amount-(Def/2)=Dmg Dealt) For instance, an attack that usually does 100 Dmg going against someone with 100 Def will deal 50 Dmg instead.

PlD: Player Defense
Originating from Adrian's Mansion, this is how protected you are from attacks from OTHER PLAYERS. (Same formula as Defense except "PlD" takes place of "Def".) For instance, you'd think an attack with 100 Dmg against a Player with 50 Def would do 75 Dmg, right? Well, if the Player has 100 PlD, it'll actually deal 50 Dmg instead.

BONUS: Core Resistance
Each attack has a Core. Core Resistance matching the attack's Core Type can really help out, allowing you to resist it! (100 Cutter Dmg-(100 Def/2)-10 (+10 Cutter Resistance)=40 Dmg Dealt) HOWEVER, these boosts aren't easy to come across, and NEGATIVE Resistance makes you Weakened!

4. Also like Adrian's Mansion, there are 3 Classes! ...BUT! They each have their own special, unique thing!
Teambuilder
For people who wants to make friends! ...Or an army, either one works.
200 HP 100 Wep 50 Atk 100 Def
Teambuilders can recruit defeated Main Bosses! However, in their place will be a tougher opponent! Also, you can only Have 3 Members at a time!

Contestant
For people who wants to compete regularly.
150 HP 150 Wep 75 Atk 75 Def 30 PlD
Sadly, the only special thing these guys have is a bonus PlD starting stat. But if you want that as well as a good stat balance, this class is for you!

Conqueror
For people who wants to face any challenge, even those not in the tournament!
100 HP 200 Wep 100 Atk 50 Def
Conquerors can actually ATTACK NPCS and temporarily shut down their shops! But please note you can only attack NPCs that are Robots! Also, NPCs of shops that are shut down are reactivated when you defeat a Boss. Also, if you think this means you can attack players in Break Areas, you're wrong! There's a reason they're called BREAK Areas, ya know!

5. There are TWO types of Bosses: Main Bosses and Event Bosses! Event Bosses only appear when a certain event happens, and after being defeated enough times, they will disappear. Event Bosses will drop special items when defeated, and some of them have stages you must purchase in Kalinka's Shop.

5 1/2. With that, there are also TWO types of stages alongside the break areas: Public Areas and Private Areas. Public Areas are locations ANYONE can access, while Private Areas are locations only certain players can go IF THEY HAVE A CERTAIN ITEM. If you don't get a certain object, don't worry, there's a place you can get it if you miss the chance! (Won't be cheap, though.)

6. The main currency is Zenny, but you can also obtain Bolts and Starforce Shards. These can be used in certain shops, including Auto's Shop and Cossack's Two Shops (one of which is based on the Recruitment thing only usable by Teambuilders, thus why Cossack has TWO shops compared to everyone else: It's so that there's a purpose for OTHERS to use the Starforce Shards.) 5 Starforce Shards is equal to ONE Full Starforce. Why this is important will be revealed in the future.
Sign-Ups
Simple, really.

Name:
Core:
Playing Style:
Other Information:

-A Mugshot or two is optional, but please place it in the Name section, and USE ONLY ONE WHEN SIGNING UP. Other Mugshots can be used in ACTUAL dialogue.
-The Core determines the Core Type of your character, thus the Core Type of your Basic Attack. And yes, Dual-Cores are available.
-Playing Style is just another name for what class you'll use. Please note that you CAN'T change your class!
-Other Information is any information on your character, including basic abilities (wall-jumping, spread-shot, ect.), personality, why the person is in the competition to begin with, ect. This is completely optional, but it'll help me when coming up with Upgrades to obtain in Dr. Light's shop. (And unless I actually know the character you're using, I'll need it.) Also, please note that weaknesses and resistances are unnecessary, as you will start off with the default weakness/resistance of absolutely nothing. No special cases.
Currently, only Cut Man's stage is available, as this is what I'd like to call the "Beta Run". Why do I call it that, you ask? No, it's not because it's my username, but it's because that Beta Man is INDEED an Event Boss in Cut Man's stage. Unlike other Event Bosses, Beta Man will only leave when this thread gets out of the Beta Run phase and into the ACTUAL First Phase of MM1/MMPU.

*NEWS FLASH!*
The World Robot Tournament underway! For now, prepare for the upcoming tournament, and train up!
Cut Man's Stage is now open!
Beta Man has appeared in Cut Man's Stage!

Finally, I actually stopped being lazy and did this. I'll start production on MM1/MMPU when I feel that we have enough players to start off with.

There are no players yet.

I actually managed to ran out of space for everything on the main thread, so here we go!

First, a few rules from the main thread:
-A single card is 25 zenny. A deck is 50 zenny and consists of up to 5 cards.
-If you buy a deck, the cards you get is randomized. I will use random.org's list generator if more than 5, and the top 5 will be your cards.
-Bt Ghost sells Special Cards here for 50 zenny per card. You can only buy single cards using the zenny, however.
-You can also SELL cards here. Each card you decide to sell will be placed in a lot. Support Cards are 5 Zenny, RM cards, Field Cards, and Special Support Cards are 10, and Special RM Cards and Special Field Cards are 15.

And an additional rule...
-This thread is for buying cards ONLY! Do NOT make cards or battle in this thread!

-If a rule is broken around here, it will count for their rule-break "counters" in the TCG entirely. There is an order for how punishments go, which go like this: Warning, loss of 10 Zenny, loss of up to 50 Zenny, loss of ALL Zenny, and probably loss of all Zenny AND a week-long ban.
I ran out of space in here, so I'm slowly turning the sets into Pastebins! Woo!

This is a place where you can fight in a RPG Manner with a custom team, or fight random Mechas controlled by me.
This is also something I need help with, especially with EXP and levels and such. I'm not the smartest guy around (obviously). Hopefully Mikey or Tails or someone helps me with this.

Rules:
-Everyone starts at level 1.
-No need for mugshots or dialogue, but feel free to add some if you want.
-Your starting health must NOT go past 200.
-Your starting mana must NOT go past 100. Mana is used as a prevention of spamming attacks. The Basic Attack, however, costs no mana.
-Health and Mana will increase as you level up. When you level up, you have the availability to add 1-3 attacks.
-Use this to see if your attacks hit. If it lands on 1 or 3, it misses. If it lands on 6, it's a critical.
-Don't have your attacks deal TOO much. Feel free to suggest a limit, just nothing past 100.
-Here's the deal about elements: MMRPG Cores can be used. However, there is also Speed/Cossack for Poison and Level for Light. If there are any other elements you want added, suggest it and the color and it might be used!
-We don't have a list of available classes. Just be creative!
-...But please, nothing too OP.
-Also, this is a turn-based battle system, so please make your entire team attack and roll dice in one turn.
-If you want to fight anybody, just say who's team you want to fight, and if they accept, the battle will commence. Or, you can also ask to fight a mecha team, which will appear in a group of 3. Please, ONE FIGHT AT A TIME PER USER.
-You can only have 5 people in one team, but you are limited to 3 teams, so if you run out of space for one of them, there's another. If you run out of space for all three... Well, your just outta luck.
-Again, this is something I need help with, so some, well, help would be nice.
Mechas:
Met (Levels 1-5)
Sniper Joe (Levels 3-5)
Spine (Levels 5-7)

gemini-man_alt9 Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Tournament of Champions! I am your host, Gemini Shadow! But you all originally knew me as one of Evil Man's minions, Evil Gemini Man! However, ever since he disappeared and is assumed dead (Beta Man's Note: This is because he is presumed as dead due to the unknown ending of Zero's thread), most of us "Evil" robots had a change of name, and have decided to do good for the world! ...Well, at least some of us decided to stop being evil... But in any case! Prepare yourself for some epic battles!

RULES:
-There will be a training session between each round.
-Do not fight/attack anyone before battles. This does not count for training, as long as it is on one of the training room's personal training Copy Robots.
-OP Robot Masters will be banned. If a robot has an OP form, the form will be banned, though the robot with it will not.
-No summoning or assists. If an assist is needed for an adapter, that's fine, just not for anything else.
-For the sake of the Classic Mega Man Series, PLEASE don't break the 3 laws of robotics.
-Time/Dimensional Travel is allowed for MEGA MAN CHARACTERS ONLY! If the character is a custom NetNavi or something, that's fine.
-Wily, Light, Cossack, and any other human characters is banned.
-Unfinished Robot Masters, like Centaur Man, Buster Rod G, and King are also banned. If it is a DOS Robot Master with a name similar to an unsprited RM, that's fine. Also, don't use the ones on MMRPG World. They don't work.
-Do not use an alt for a Robot Master that is already used by someone else. It makes things less confusing if you follow this rule.
-Custom mugshots seem to be a new thing around here. If you ever decide to do Custom mugshots, that's fine.
-In battle, if one person does not respond before a week (like if one person posts on Monday, then the other fails to post before the Monday after the post is made), they will be considered as inactive and all of their robots will be disqualified.
-If a robot tries to scrap the other, the robot trying to scrap it's opponent will be disqualified.
-The brackets will be made by using THIS.
Now, before I explain about the sign-ups sheet, I found out something about rosters. You see, if I accept the number as an even number, like so...
2-4-6-8-10-ect.
Then it will end up like this...
10-5 ("Strange" Bracket)
So, if we do it like this...
2-4-8-16-32-ect
It'll be like this...
32-16-8-4-2-Winner
So, I'll be accepting sign-ups until April 13th, and if we need more by then, I'll start doing an "Open Slot" limit.

This is the place to be for MMRPG TCG tournaments! You can also fight against Custom Players and make your own tournaments and custom players!
Current Torunaments:

None.
You can also host your own tournaments and make a custom champion that will be faced after there is only one contestant left. That means, however, you have to control the Champion. To make a tournament, here is a blank tournament request thing:

Tournament Name:
Champion:
Champion's Cards:
Completion Reward:

You must include at least 50 Zenny and a Card as a completion reward.
Custom Players:
I have decided to place all Custom Players in this Pastebin. (WARNING: Unfinished)
A few rules:
-You can join more than one tournament. However, if you do, you would have to wait until your current battle is over before you can face your opponent in another tournament.
-If for some reason you are facing the same person in more than one tournaments, if you beat the person in battle, it will count as your victory in ALL tournaments in which you face the same person.
-For more rules, please look at the MMRPG TCG Main Thread.

Thank you, and best of luck to all participants!

Ah, Snowball Fights. The most classic of all winter activities, aside from maybe making Snowmen or Snow Angels. And that's what this Forum Game is about.

The rules are similar to Hurt and Heal, except there's NO healing!
Hosts can pick from one of these game modes (might be expanded in the future):
-Free-for-All: A classic free-for-all game. Type in "Throw a Snowball at (Player Name)", and they loose 1 health. Loose all health, and your out, but you can still throw snowballs.
-Team Battles: People split up into two teams and battles it out. You are unable to "Throw a Snowball at" one of your fellow teammates. The last team standing wins. Team Names will be given by the host.
The host will be changed after every game.

I will start the game off with a good old "Good vs. Evil" theme. Sign-ups for the game ends of Christmas Day!

Current Host: Beta Man
Current Game Mode: Team Battles

Players in the Game:
Heroes:
Beta Man- 7/10
MegaBossMan- 9/10
Meta- 8/10

Villains:
TailsMK4- 10/10
ThatOneEnderMan- 7/10
Brimstone- 9/10

Hey, remember my old MMRPG Trading Card Game RP? Yeah, THAT ancient thing? Well, some people *cough*Tails*cough* didn't like a few ideas or something like that, and I kinda feel like starting from scratch. So, yeah, take 2! Action!
Let's start with the rules, which are the same as usual, with small changes.
-There are TWO THREE types of cards: Robot Master Cards, Support Cards, and, as of recently, Field Cards.
-The maximum amount of cards in a deck is 50.
-You can only have ONE deck. You are banned from using alts just to have extra.
-You can trade for cards.
-Everyone starts with 100 Zenny in this RP. Every victory gives you 50 Zenny. You can use Zenny to get more cards.
-Run out of space in your deck? Not a problem! Use your Profile Description as a storage unit, and you can switch up your deck. However, it will require you to notify me through personal messaging.
-Each single card is 25 zenny. Every pack is 50.
-Every card you make, unless I decide otherwise, if you have more than 1 card, will go into your own pack.
-There is ONE exception to both of these above rules... Special Cards. You can win these through an event or as a prize in a tournament. One of my characters, Bt Ghost, on the other hand, had the sneakiness (and kindness?) to allow people to use zenny to buy Special Cards for 50 zenny per card.
-You can also SELL cards. Each card you decide to sell will be placed in a lot. Support Cards are 5 Zenny, RM cards, Field Cards, and Special Support Cards are 10, and Special RM Cards and Special Field Cards are 15.
-The cards you get is randomized. I will use random.org's list generator if more than 5, and the top 5 will be your cards.
-When you create your own cards, you will have them automatically. However, I don't automatically get the starter pack cards.
-Going back to the use of random.org, you can go here for coin flipping, a feature I banned from use in the original. The same will go for a new feature asked about by StupidStudiosN, which is the requirement of rolling dice.
-The cards can't change forms or core colors. Even though you could place certain Pokemon cards over each other as a form of evolution, the cards used hare are not real and will NOT use that feature. Also, that means more cards to fight with for you, so yay you.
-Support cards CAN'T paralyze, burn, make users fall asleep, change moves, ect., but they CAN give you a one-time use of a different attack or the attack last used by the opponent.
-Banned core types: Energy, Weapon, Attack, Defense, Speed, Weapons, Light, Wily, Cossack. These are banned from RM/weapon core types due to impossibility in-game. Empty cores, however, ARE available. The banned cores CAN be used for Powers and Support Cards.
-Speaking of core types, Powers and Attacks, if you don't know by now, do NOT have to match the core type of the robot using it.
-Powers allows you to do a thing. Idk, I think it is obvious what they do.
-I do not allow attacks that can do 100 damage or more on it's own. This means that if there is an attack that deals 90 damage and a support card (or a weakness) is used to make it do 100 or more damage, that's fine, but in other cases, no. As of lately, I had two new exceptions: Special Cards and Recoil Damage. For Special Cards, I decided to increase the damage limit to 150, mainly to make another difference between Special Cards and Regular Cards. Another exception is recoil damage: I'll allow damage of over 100 IF it comes with recoil damage of at LEAST 70 damage. However, for every 30 numbers, the recoil damage must be 70+(10*# of damage increase (by 20)). (If I said the equation wrong, then I'm sorry, but not everyone is a genius.)
-There is also a new health limit so nobody can go crazy. This limit is 300 and it goes for ALL cards, including Special Cards. (Though, Special Cards MAY get a 50-200 HP limit increase in the future, but we may see.)
-Speaking of Special Cards, one more thing: You can only have a limit of THREE Special Cards in your deck. Otherwise... Eh, not sure what would come out of it, but I'm pretty sure it's nothing good.
-We will not use Hands and Benches for the battles, there are just robots in battle, an Robots deck, and a Support Cards deck.
-I have a certain HP system in which numbers for attacks and HP MUST end with a 0. (Decimals, obviously, are also on this ban list.)
-In addition, to make things fair, the number of health the robot starts with must NOT be below 90 HP. That way, no cards can be too weak.
-I won't add cards that instantly disables (or not allow the use of) a Robot card, though I will allow one that disables SUPPORT cards.
-Ok, let's just say Guts Man uses Super Arm on Cut Man. Since it is Impact-core, the attack would deal it's basic damage +10 to Cut Man. Let's also say that Shadow Man uses Shadow Blade to Beta Man. Since it is a Shadow-core, the attack would deal it's basic damage -10 to Beta Man. However, if Beta Man is hit with a Shadow-core attack that normally deals 10 damage, it will still deal 10 damage.
-Field Cards don't have to do both Increases and Decreases. It can just increase without a decrease, or it can decrease without an increase. It has to at least have one or the other, though.
-The attack increase and decrease limit for Field Cards is 30. If it's a Special Field Card, the limit is 50.
-Any suggestions on what should be added/removed/changed? Just say so!
-Certain rules based on making a card will only have warnings. Other rule breaks, such as taking an extra turn when not supposed to, will go in this order: Warning, loss of 10 Zenny, loss of up to 50 Zenny, loss of ALL Zenny, and probably loss of all Zenny AND a week-long ban.
Here is the card maker for robots:

Name:
Core:

Attack 1/Power:
Attack/Power Description:
Attack 2: (Optional)
Attack 2 Description: (Optional)
Attack 3: (Optional)

Hi. Chatroom down? Well, that happened when this was made. (The message is for times past 8-20-15.) Come down here until the chat is fixed! Since we can't talk about random things in other threads, why not talk about random things in a thread made for talking about random things? So, just come here and chat!

Ok, my last tournament was a failure. How about we start from scratch, shall we?

Alright, here are the rules:
-There will be a 3-day (real life) training session between each round.
-Do not fight/attack anyone during battles.
-OP Robot Masters will be banned.
-No summoning or assists. (Ender, Matt, I'm watching you two.)
-For the sake of the Classic Mega Man Series, PLEASE don't break the 3 laws of robotics. This isn't MMZ, people!

-Unfinished Robot Masters, like Centaur Man, Buster Rod G, and King is also banned.

This is kinda like TobyJoey's/Retro Pikachu's post but (hopefully) a little different.

The Rules:
1. Do not claim a robot master like Cut Man or Slash Man, sprited or not.
2. Each robot must only have 1 or 2 core types.
3. No fights, please. This is just a place where information on RP characters go because why not.
4. No origins, please. Do it on my other thread.
5. I have no stat limits, just don't make him have too much starting energy/attack stat/defense stat/speed stat. Also, don't make your character immune to everything.
6. Robot Masters will be divided into sections, each section based on the model number.
Here is an example:

Name: Test Robot
Icon: robot
Model: MMN-000 (Missing Model Number, for this is an example robot)

You have been invited to a tournament by a mysterious robot. The tournament will be held to see who's the strongest of all the competitors that earn and accept the letter. The letter says that the person that sends the letter shall be revealed when the people arrive. Are YOU up to the challenge?
Rules:

You can not attack anyone outside the tournament, however, training is allowed on a practice dummy robot that is just one of those empty-bode robots we use to represent hidden faces and all that.
No evil villains plotting to interrupt the tournament to try for world domination. (Trust me, I have it covered...)
I already have the big villain covered, so no need for you to come up with one.
No OP Robot Masters.
Be active or all your robots will be considered to drop out or be defeated (if in battle).
Themes are fun, but make sure they are appropriate.
If you feel as if there's a rule you wanted added or a robot added to the ban list below, speak up, and it may be added.

Ban list:
Doctors
Unsprited Robot Masters

What is the story of your character? Tell us here!

Backstory of my characters:
With the huge threat Slur made to Mega Man, Dr. Light realised that Mega Man couldn't fight alone. So, Dr. Light worked on Robot Masters that could use ALL of the weapons used by a certain core type each, named the All-Star Numbers. When Shadow Man, after spying on the good doctor, told Wily about this, Wily made the Hidden Wily Numbers and kidnapped all but two of the All-Star Numbers: Bt Man and Sargent Man. Ninja Man was the second HWN. However, they were either bugged or too powerful to control (Retro Pikachu, more specifically), so they were stored away and guarded by Gyro Man... Until he left Spark Man in charge of it for a while, that is. When Spark Man left to hang with Plug Man the day the Master attacked, Retro Pikachu escaped, soon followed by Ninja Man. Then one thing came after another, and Ninja Man became Bt Man's rival and Wily's elite, much to the anger of Bass.

Have questions to ask my characters? Want to answer questions yourself? Just plain bored? This is the place for you!

You can ask questions to the following:

Beta Man
Ninja Man
Sargent is still missing. But you can ask him questions! ...Whenever he gets back.
Bt Ghost
Jazz MKII
Beta Serif
Me (Beta Reaper) (See profile for mugshot explanation)

And you can answer questions yourself! Just make sure to give me your character's (Or Characters') name(s) and your in! (Note: you can still ask questions, even if yours are on the list)
