. This fails and he dies. However, now there are two universes, the second of which is based off of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe.
. This fails, and now he shares a body with a guy named Walter. (Worship is currently in control, however, but he's better now. Ish.)
. This fails, but instead of dying, they proceed to lurk in shadows.
. This fails, and he is sealed away.
up again. Meanwhile, so does a robot named Coda, the trio of Badniks from before, and several other villains, making it a callback to (mostly) all above events, which is where we left off.
Right, here’s how things are gonna go: I’m gonna go down and talk to that Renga guy, while you, Piplup, shall go and deal with that Metall over there.
I-
Skip the dialogue and give us the candy. It’s not even Halloween anymore, and Beta Shadow doesn’t even remember what your costume was supposed to even be, anyways.
Alright, sheesh. You don’t have to be such a jerk about it...

Hmm. Aside from the Halloween NPCs, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot to this floor... Should make this a cakewalk.
...Actually, I always found that “slow and steady wins the race” was not the lesson to be learned in that story; In the tale, the Torterra only ever beat the Lopunny because the latter was overconfident. If the Lopunny were to actually finish the race instead of taking a NAP, then the Lopunny would’ve won the race five times over before the Torterra could even get halfway across.
The POINT is, the TRUE moral of the story is to NEVER let your guard down, and NEVER underestimate your opponent. NOT “slow and steady wins the race”. If anything, the fact that it took this long to GET to the first story mission when it took you a simple matter of days the last time only PROVES that you have grown lackluster as a Roleplayer.
...My confidence in my ability is not at fault for my past failures. That FREAK of a Rotom holds more power than a lowlife like him has ANY right to bear. You know this as well as I do, seeing as you, too, have been a victim of his annual “holiday cheer”.
Now, if we can stop talking about
insignificant GNATS
for a moment, I’d like to point out that I have just reached the stairs.
Hmm, a tempting offer. On the one hand, I could possibly gain more EXP from the story mission, but on the other...
...Say, Piplup. How close are we, exactly, to that Outlaw we’re after?
The mission log says that the outlaw Picket Man is on the 4th floor. We are currently on the 2nd, with the 3rd floor right within your reach.
I see... In that case...
...We shall proceed as we were. We’ve already made the halfway mark, so I see no reason for us to abandon the objective now. And whether those other two decide to follow me to the end, or to leave for the story event, that’s their choice.
...Some new rules, hm? ...Truthfully, I always wondered when he’d realize that the old rules were... Shall I say, unrefined?
...Not that that’s important right now. Piplup, go ahead and speak with that Bright Man, won’t you? I’ll just keep heading for the stairs and leave these other two for the other teams, seeing as this time of year puts me in such a good mood and all.
* (I understand being a Time robot and all, but why do I have to be this... green gremlin!? I don’t even LIKE the character... Especially since he doesn’t understand that freezing time is NOT A PSYCHIC POWER-)
Am I interrupting something?
Ah, right, sorry. Let’s see, what am I supposed to do here... Ah, yes, of course.
Well, now if you excuse me... I’m going to find new friends with better taste in group costumes.
...Well, that was a waste. At least there are no enemies around here.
That figures. Just spawn whatever, I’m just going to go to the next floor anyways.

Ah, today is such a joyous day! And I’m not simply referring to our return once again to this domain of Robots and Dungeons.
The month of October has always been my favorite... The nights get longer as the winds grow cold. Shadows loom, and evil lurks in the air... I simply cannot stop myself from smiling. This is as close as it gets to my ideal world of darkness.
...And for once, I have a friend that I am able to share this with. Sure, beforehand, I had that ghost and my old Nightmare Force as companions... But they simply do not share the vision I hold. They couldn’t possibly see things the way I see them.
...Alas, it is not their fault that it is this way... Still, I have my own company to celebrate this time of year, now. Perhaps I should look forward to-
Ah, right, of course. I’ll carry on, then.

Feels good to be back... Hopefully Beta Shadow doesn’t go on yet another hiatus anytime soon.
I would hope that you won’t be rusty, but our opponent doesn’t appear to be any much of a threat.
Hey! You’d better watch yourself, slick, ‘cuz one slip-up and you’re done for!
That, we shall see.

Alright, the distortion's gone and everything it has destroyed has been fixed. ...Guess it's finally time, now.
...I wonder. We've already been through one year of Part I... When's this part's anniversary exac-
...Huh.
...Well, maybe this next part'll last longer than a year.
...Welp. Here goes nothing...
...See you guys on the other side.
Ok, I'm finally in. Good. Now, before I do the server migration, I should probably repair those planets lost by the distortions...
What the...?
Uh, Missingno...?
(Dammit, why did he have to leave now...?)
Cute.
Alright, I think I've had about enough of this.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
Oh, dear. It appears I made you hit your little friend instead... How awfully treacherous of me.
...I... I don't follow. Was that a joke?
...Because I'm using treachery?
Oh. ...Really?
...Do you even know what Treachery is? Or it's counterpart, Chivalry?*
I know what it is. I've just never seen it before.
Much like how I don't see the point of you learning all this. Dou... Treachery... Surely they're not truly stronger than your Berserk Instinct, right? So why did you waste your time plotting just to learn two measly forms- no, not even full-fledged transformations, but simple techniques?
...Ah, what the hell. I've got what I wanted and played around with you two long enough, anyways... Let's bring it on home, shall we?

Eh, I can practice martial arts at any time I want.
Besides, apparently Theta was real adamant about me helping to protect this... "Shadow Orb" thing. So, I figured I'd drop by here first to see what all is going down.
Alright, what flavor would you like?
...Ok...?
What!? How long were you going to wait to tell us that!?
*Sigh* So where's the real Crystal Eye?
Mighty broke the-
...Wait, Mighty broke the Crystal Eye? ...Huh. Good on him, actually.
I have no idea what the air is talking about, but if you have no reason to be here anymore, I think it's high time the both of you get out of here, too.
What, did you predict us leaving, too?
I don't need to be a psychic to know that you two annoy me.
Then a word of advice before we go: Go find Psi Foretell. I'm sure he can give you some pointers on how to be a REAL fortune teller.

OH YEAH!!!
Please. Thanks to the Anti-Omni Corruption, I am capable of becoming incorporeal without having to leave my own body. In fact, I could use ALL my tricks as a Data Ghost.
And yet, you've forgotten an important detail...
Ghosts like I can still harm other ghosts.
"Ghosts like I"? Don't compare myself to you. You are a betrayal of your true self.

Beta Diablo has freed me from such a fate. [u]And now, I have become who I truly am!]{swift_flame}
...Have you? Think about it: What even was the reason we were evil? What even was our endgoal?
We were only evil for the sake of being so. We had no motive. So even if I AM good, at least I'm still myself, unlike YOU.
