Please read my latest message

So a few years ago, TailsMK4 released a forum game called Mega Man RPG: Lab Defense. I played in it and enjoyed it. Then, like a lot of forum games, Tails stopped updating it (tbf I'm probably the most guilty out of everyone in the forums of this particular crime). I apparently can't spend any sort of productive energy on actually productive things during weekends, so I remade it. Hopefully I can keep it going a bit longer.

How to Play (while copy and pasting some things from the original thread):

The battles take place in a large-ish area (a map of the current "turn" will be shown on each post), and you must carefully decide what enemies to take on or what other actions to do (more on those to come as areas are successfully defended). Each robot in the field can move a certain number of spaces per turn.

Each turn, all allied robots perform 1 action. 1 action consists of moving, then either trading with an adjacent ally, interacting with npc/objects, performing a command, otherwise known as an attack, or nothing and just waiting it out. Once all allies have performed an action, the turn ends and all enemies will perform their actions. This repeats until either side achieves victory.

To send an action, either reply to the thread (the preferred method) or ping me on the MMRPG discord in the #roleplay channel. If all but one player has sent an action and ~24 hours have passed since the start of the turn, your action will be skipped/automated to keep the game going.

If you're adjacent to an ally when dealing or taking damage, you'll perform a Linked Attack or Linked Defense. These will increase your damage dealt and reduce your damage taken respectively, as well as improve the Link between the two allies. If there are multiply adjacent allies, only the strongest Link will be activated. The stronger the Link, the greater the buffs.

Despite the name "Lab Defense DX," not all maps will be defense maps. Most will, but not all. Ideally. Either way, on a defense map, you'll be tasked with, well, defending an npc ally, a certain tile, or some other plot-important object. The Victory and Defeat conditions of every map will be displayed at the start of the battle and will be visible all throughout the skirmish.

Upon leveling up, your stats will increase and you'll get to pick between 2 randomly-generated commands, passives, or additional stat increases. You'll gain EXP when dealing damage, supporting allies in a Link, defeating foes, using support commands on other allies, or interacting with certain npcs/objects.

Character Creation:

When creating a character, your character sheet should look like this:

Name:
Icon:
HP:
WE:
ATK:
DEF:
SPD:
LCK:

Core Type:
Sub-Core Type:
Weakness:
Resistance:

All of this is kinda gibberish so let's go down the list

Name - The name of your character.
Icon - The Icon you want to represent this character (use [robot] or [mecha] formatting to pick). Pick someone that hasn't already been used.

The Stats:
You will have 20 points to distribute among your stats. While you can have less if you so choose, you cannot have more.

HP: Hit Points. How much damage you can take before you fall. Robots with 0 or less HP can still support adjacent allies, but cannot perform any actions. Sometimes referred to as "Energy." Points put in HP are doubled. If you put no points into HP, you will start the game with 1 HP.
WE: Weapon Energy. Used to activate most commands. Naturally Replenishes at 1 WE a turn. Points put into WE are doubled
ATK: Attack. Increases how much damage you deal.
DEF: Defense. Reduces how much damage you take.
SPD: Speed. Determines how far you can move. For every 2 SPD you have, you can move 1 space.
LCK: Luck. Affects various luck-based factors.

In addition to these points, you can choose to assign a boon and a bane. Boons will grant +2 in that stat (+4 for HP and WE), increase how much of that stat you earn upon leveling up, and grant certain commands right out of the gate. Banes do the opposite. You cannot merely have a boon and no bane. To assign the boon and bane, place a (+) or (-) respectively to the stat of your choice.

Core Type: Determines earned commands and passives.
Sub-Core: Determines earned commands. Cannot equip any commands of this type above 2* rarity. All 2* or lower Neutral type commands can be equipped even without a Neutral Sub-Core
* If you choose to forgo a Sub-Core, you'll start off with 1 additional random 1* passive and passive slot.

You can select any types that appear in the prototype except for the following, as they have been altered to a different type:
* Laser --> Neutral
* Shield --> Neutral
* Copy --> Neutral
* Crystal --> Earth
* Missile --> Explode (usually)
* Time --> Spacetime
* Space --> Spacetime
* Shadow --> Varies

If it isn't in this list and appears in the "Types Database" on this website, it's available.

Weakness: Attacks of this type deal double damage.
Resistance: Attacks of this type deal half damage.

Your character MUST have a weakness. If you do not assign a Weakness, one will be assigned to you randomly based on your Core type.

The last parts of your character are decided by your Core, Sub-core, and boons/banes.

Commands: Attacks utilized after moving. Also includes support skills and movement skills. All characters have 6 Command slots at the start, though they may gain more upon leveling up.
Passives: Abilities that either grant a static buff or activate an effect when conditions are met. You typically cannot manually activate a passive. All characters have 3 Passive slots at the start, though they may gain more upon leveling up.

Example:

Name: Magic Man
Icon: magic-man
HP: 6
WE: 6(+)
ATK: 6
DEF: 2(-)
SPD: 4
LCK: 2

Core type: Cutter
Sub-Core Type: Swift
Weakness: Wind
Resistance: Spacetime

The above sheet would grant the following:

Commands: Buster Shot, Slide, Charge Weapons, Rolling Cutter, Quick Strike
Passives: WE +5, Cutter Expertise

Database

Click here to view the database

The database is split up into 4 sections: Command, Enemy, Passive, and Players. You may notice that a lot of the entries are simply "???." I've left just enough information in the database to help you decide how to build your character. As you progress through the game and discover new commands, enemies, and passives, the database will be filled up. Keep in mind that I intend to add new entries as we progress through the game, so don't go thinking there's just 4 enemies in the game.

The "Players" section contains all in-depth information on your robots. Here's a shortcut to the Players section

Feel free to share your thoughts. In the meantime, I'll try and update this main post with any updates about the game on Mega Man's official twitter account. Hello everyone!

I wanted to make a "community post" on what Omega Influence does.

If you're unsure what I'm talking about, the new update Adrian posted adds the "Omega Influence" mechanic into the game, affecting Robots, Players, and Shop Keepers! Adrian himself decided to keep the exact mechanics a secret. So I decided to make a post where we can all try to work out what this mysterious mechanic will do.

What do I mean by "we"? Well, if you find something out about Omega Influence, or see an error in the main thread, post it in the comment section below! I will try to keep this post updated with any new information you post! Let's see how many things we can find out working together as a community.

What Omega Influence DOES Affect/Is Affected By
- If a robot holds a core that matches the type of its Omega Influence, all attacks under that type will have -25% cost.
- Shop keepers are willing to pay 75% of the original cost as opposed to 50% when selling items that match their Omega Influence type.

What Omega Influence DOES NOT Affect/Is NOT Affected By
- Omega Influence does not add bonuses from the Starforce level of its corresponding type.
- Omega Influence cannot allow a robot to equip abilities just based on the Omega Influence's type. You still need a robot core.
- BP Earned is unaffected by Player's Omega Influence type

Hello everyone!

I'm fairly certain that everyone is aware of a Hunger Games simulator (someone's trying to start a tourney, check it out here, but I always wondered how it would go if you could actually control your character's actions. As such, here is a silly game I made, where you create and control a character for the Hunger Games. So how does this play out? Here you go!

RULES:
1. This game requires a sign-up before the game starts. Once a game has started, you may NOT join in.
2. There are 4 Phases of a day: Morning, Midday, Evening, and Night.
3. You can command your character to:
a. Gather (attempt to find food)
b. Attack (attempt to strike an enemy)
c. Rest (attempt to conserve stamina/defend from raid)
d. Raid (attempt to steal someone else's supplies).
4. Your character starts with 5 HP. This might increase and will decrease as time goes.
5. At the end of Night, you will consume a random amount of food. If you don't have sufficient supplies, you will lose some HP.
6. You may have noticed that all the commands say "attempt." There will be a LOT of rng-usage, for instance, you could attack a foe, but the foe might strike you back and severely injure you. OR you could end up with minor amnesia as you attempt to rest, effectively wasting your turn. Heck, you could try and Gather some supplies but run into a bear. No matter what happens, understand 2 things:
a. All events were decided via random.org's list generator.
b. You are NOT allowed to complain about your bad luck. If you do so, I can and WILL cause some bad things to you.
7. If certain events happen, your character might faint. If this happens, you cannot send a command until they wake up.
8. The game will be updated every 1-2 day(s) hopefully. Please send your commands before each update!

If you want to join, here's some sign-up info!

SIGN-UP
- Sign-up via the comment thread, telling me your character's name and the robot avatar that shall be used as a visual.
- You will send your commands via a PM I send to you after signing up. DON'T send commands via the comments section. They will be ignored.
- I will not be playing to avoid godmodding/unfair competition.
- As of ~6/19/2016, I have no idea how many players will be a part of this. We'll see how many people are interested in this.

And that's it! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments!

PLAYERS (4/4):
crystal-man_alt Monk Android (HP: 5/5) Food: 0
ring-man_alt Ender Man (HP: 7/5) Food: 0 Status: Overheal
skull-man_alt9 Brimstone (HP: 6/5) Food: 3 Status: Overheal
MegaBoy (HP:5/5) Food: 0

What if... instead of creating insanely powerful Robot Masters to advance humanity, Dr. Light and Dr. Wily decided on mass-producing Joe-like robots based on the abilities of what we call "Robot Masters..."

These "Joes" contained the abilities of fire, oil, electricity, etc... They were designed to help humanity...

However, fate still turned its wheels and Wily betrayed Light by hijacking all the Joes and dubbing them "Wily Joes". This time, however, Light didn't have anything ready to stop Wily and his Wily Joes, and Wily managed world takeover with ease...

...Many years later, Wily is securing his grip on the world, consistently making more types of Wily Joes to help take down any said resistance that Light has been attempting all these years. Unfortunantly, there was no way for humans to combat these converted war machines...

However, Wily made one mistake in his multi-year-long plan: not realize that these "Wily Joes" he was making did INDEED have their own sub-concious.

Indeed, six Wily Joes, all of which were some of the first, had seen enough of Wily's atrocities. One of them, General Leon, in particular had been the first one produced. He found five other Wily Joes who shared his thoughts on joining the rebellion. All of them met and devised a plan to defeat Wily.

Soon, after many scrapped plans, they were ready to unleash their plan to the world.

In this RP, you will be the rebelling "Wily Joes." You may have noticed that I never described what type of Joe they were. That's for a reason: you will be deciding on that yourselves. Below, I have listed the classes you have access to right now. Take note that you cannot change class right now, and the data on each "class" is incomplete. And no, it's not because I haven't finished created the classes. Everyone will gain more information about each class as someone levels up with it.

Class Data

One way to describe this RP is a watered-down version of the Prototype, with new twists that force you to work with your team if you want to succeed in battle. A few mechanic changes are...

- The Battle System has been DRASTICALLY altered from the Prototype's battle system. It should be fun, though I won't be giving details until the first battle.
- Damage Dealt is made more in line with Pokemon: ([Power] + [Attack]) - [Defense].
- Your robots will be able to equip ANY ability in the game, not just ones specific to a core type.
- Due to the above situation, Copy Core robots are nowhere to be seen. Mega Man and Proto Man don't exist in this world.
- Abilities have been renamed Skills, and not all of them activate only when you command to (more details later).
- Robots have fixed stat gains on level up. Said gains are dependent on the robot.
- Base Stats have been halved from 300 to 150 for slightly more minimalistic gameplay.
- Max Level reduced from 100 to 25.
- EXP needed to level up reduced from 1000 to 100.

If you would like to sign up, just say so in the comments, with a note saying which class you would like to be. You'll be locked to that class until you meet a certain someone, so choose wisely. Signups are closed, but feel free to ask questions about the game in the comments.

Current State: Loading game...

Players: 6/5
- Brimstone (Elec Joe Class)
- MegaBossMan (Cutter Joe Class)
- TailsMK4 (Guts Joe Class)
- TheDoc (Fire Joe Class)
- TobyJoey (Ice Joe Class)

So someone posted something non-related to Megaman or the Prototype. Hum. Anyhow, this isn't a "roleplay" compared to everything else on the topic (I was even considering placing this on the General forum!), this is going to be utilizing Pokemon Showdown, a battle simulator for those who don't bother breeding and EV training. As the title implies, this'll be pokemon battle tournament, with each round having special rules. I'll only be allowing 8 players on the tourney, so hurry!

How to "register" for the tournament:

1. Go to play.pokemonshowdown.com and click "Choose Name." Use your Prototype Username please! (Or something similar).
2. Go to the gear icon, click it, and press "Register." Fill in the form.
3. Head back here and comment that you'd like to join!
4. Send me, via PM code, your team code. On page 2, there should be an example of what I mean.
5. Wait.

Now then, here are some ground rules:

1. I will be showing up dates and times for the next battles. If you can't attend, let me know ASAP and I'll do my best to readjust the date. If you don't attend without letting me know, you're disqualified.
2. Don't complain if you lose. I'll be doing this a lot.

Just 2 rules!

Go ahead and be the very best!

Slots open: 2/8

Player List:
1. TobyJoey
2. MetaKirbSter
3. ThatOneEnderMan
4. DaCrashBomber
5. ZeroDXZ
6. Poi2000

Hello everyone! Here's a game that I found interesting when playing with friends. The object is simple, outlast everyone else, getting your hands dirty if you need to. Between Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, you will give actions to your character. Here's the information you need to know:

RULES:
1. Only one character per person. Don't even think about busting out the Alt Accounts.
2. Once you sign up, I will send you a PM called "Command [Character]." Do not post your actions anywhere else but there.
3. Understand it is very possible to die on day 1 or 2, and a good number of the actions are based on luck. Do not put up a huge fuss and spam everywhere on the community that this thread sucks.
4. The game will begin once I have 8 or more competitors.
5. You can only submit actions Monday, Wednesday-Thursday, and Saturday.
6. No alliances. If I suspect a secret alliance, and I find enough evidence, I will automatically kill off all members of the alliance. Alliances are allowed. Go ahead and gang up on that one person if you'd like. Just don't blame me if your ally back stabs you :p.

HOW TO SIGN UP:
Just put in a comment below that you would like to join, and put the name of the character you would like to sign in. Also place an avatar (mega-manproto-man_impactbass_lasercut-man_alt9etc.) that no one else is using.

Now for the part that you've been waiting for...

ACTIONS:
First of all, time flows as '1 day in-game = 1 week real-life,' 'Morning in-game = Tuesday real-life,' 'Evening in-game = Friday real-life,' and 'Night in-game = Sunday real-life.' Certain actions can only be done at certain times of the day. At the end of Night, the player will consume 1 ration. If the player cannot meet a ration quota, then they will lose 1 turn and become "Vulnerable." If vulnerable, you will instantly be robbed and ambushed by anyone who attempts it on you. Lose 3 lives and you're out! If you are "killed" by any other action, you automatically lose 3 lives.

Now the actions:

* Gather Food - Search for food and gain 2-6 rations. If someone attempts "robbery" on you when you play this, he/she will be 100% successful. If someone attempts "ambush" on you when you play this, he/she will have a 70% chance of successfully killing you. Cannot be played at Night.

* Robbery - Choose one player to rob. If they play "guard," then there is an 80% chance you will die. If they play "Gather Food" or "Ambush" on someone else, then you will steal 50% of all their rations. If they play "Robbery" on you, then both of you will encounter each other, hurt each other, and forcefully consume 1 ration. If they play "Robbery" on someone else, then there is a 50% chance you will successfully steal 50% of their rations. If someone else is attempting Robbery on the same guy you want to rob, there is a 1/3 chance you will make them consume 1 ration and you will move on with your Robbery, 1/3 chance that it happens to you, and 1/3 chance both of you flee the scene and consume 1 ration. Cannot be played at Morning.

* Ambush - Choose one player to ambush. If they play "guard," there is a 1/3 chance you will kill them, 1/3 chance both of you will forcefully consume a ration (see above if you fail to consume ration), and 1/3 chance of getting killed yourself. If they play "Gather Food," there is a 70% chance you will kill them, a 25% chance you will force them to consume 1 ration, and a 5% chance they will force you to consume 1 ration. If they play "Robbery," you will always kill them, and the person they attempted to rob will be safe. If they play "Ambush" on you, both of you will forcefully consume 1 ration. If they play "Ambush" on someone else, there is a 50% chance you will kill them, and 50% they will consume 1 ration. Either way, their ambush fails. If someone else attempts "Ambush" on the same guy you want to kill, there is a 1/3 chance you will die, 1/3 chance you will kill the other party member and move on to ambushing the guy you were originally going to ambush, and 1/3 chance both of you die. If the person you Ambush is vulnerable, they die. Cannot be played in the afternoon.

* Guard - Guard your hometurf. If someone attempts "Robbery" on you, there is an 80% chance you will kill them, and a 20% chance they will escape. If someone attempts "Ambush" on you, there is a 1/3 chance of both of you forcefully consuming a ration, 1/3 chance of you killing them, and 1/3 chance of you dying. Despite the fact you can play this at any time of the day, you will consume 1 ration upon using this action.

* Loaf Around - If you do not respond between time frames, you end up loafing around. Robbery and Ambush on you will always be successful.

Now go ahead and break a leg! Both speaking metaphorically and in-game!

In this thread, you can enjoy asking and answering questions. It can be about almost anything, except the following:

- Real Name
- Age
- Phone Number
- House Address
- Anything too personal
- Questions specified at 3 or more people

If you would like to ask a question, put it in the comments below. Also direct who you're asking the question too. If you would like to answer questions, then simply say in the comments below. You can also sign up your OC's (Original Characters, like Techno, Pawn, etc.) If signing an OC/yourself up, then specify who you mean. You can't sign other people up (i.e. I can't sign up Daroach (User) to join the questionnaire). You can only ask people who have signed up. If you are answering a question, just respond to them, and you can pass a question if you feel like it's too personal or you just don't feel comfortable answering. If you don't want to answer anymore questions, just shoot me up a PM notifying me of the situation. Also, don't ask more than one question. Wait until your question is asked before asking another. Here is the ask list!

Who you can ask:

Retro Pikachu (User)
Retro Pikachu (OC)
Techno (OC)
MegaBossMan (User)
Darouch (User)
MetaKirbStar (OC)
ThatOneEnderMan (User)
MegaboyX7 (User)
MegaboyX7 (OC)
Shadownnico (User)
Phoenix Wright (User)
TobyJoey (User)
Btman (User)
Btman (OC)
Sargent Man (OC)
Ninja Man (OC)

Go crazy, and make anyone who signed up regret it.

Other: This is what you get when you leave Wily with Evil Energy and spare time on his hands. He builds a machine of pure destruction, throwing "mercy" out the window. Retro Pikachu was going to be the first of a line of destructive creatures, known as the Hidden Wily Numbers. These robots were so secret, only about 16 of Wily's massive army knew of his creation. In troubled situations, he will resort to his Omega Version to take down those who stand before him. While even Retro Pikachu is not aware of it, he has a "Dark Mode." When this happens, Retro loses control of his body and goes on an all out RAMPAGE. Retro Pikachu's design is highly based on Proto Man, as Retro Pikachu is indeed the "Prototype" of Zero. While Wily had designed Retro Pikachu to follow orders, a bit of influence from The Master had altered his programming. Permanently. Retro Pikachu has proved his strength multiple times, being able to defeat 8-16 robots at a time. With a SINGLE SHOT. Now that he is released, one thing is certain. If you are targeted by Retro Pikachu, then hopefully, you are one of the strongest.

This is my Achievement System redone. I was going to do this big speech BUT I just wanted to start this up again (not because I HAD to, because I wanted to). Why do I call it "Challenge System"? Seeing as you will get your own category of "challenges," it made more sense. Check the bottom on page 2 of the comment list to see an important announcement. Read it before you make any challenges. Anyway, there are some rules before adding up your challenges:

Rules:
1. While you will get a category called [username]'s challenges, you can send challenges to "easy challenges" if it doesn't seem challenging enough!
2. Read through the Challenge List before making an challenge. This is to prevent "similar" challenges.
3. Try to get creative with your challenges!
4. Don't send a challenge at ONE person (i.e. Have Retro Pikachu say "ham"). Make it doable by all people!
5. Have the challenges be related to either this game or somewhere on the community!
6. Don't post 20 challenges at once. Try to limit the challenges to 5 a day.
7. Check off challenges either on your own profile page OR a comment below (just edit it when you have an update!).

While it seems like there are a lot, these should be easy to follow. Onto the challenges!!!
Easy Challenges:
Victory! - Beat the Intro Stage for the first time
Better Victory! - Complete 1 story
Ultimate Victory! - Complete all 3 stories
Supreme Victory! - Complete the Bonus Fields at least once on all 3 stories
League of Mets - Get Field Support on all 3 stories
Introduction - Introduce yourself on this thread!
New Friends - Transfer a robot

Only use their Copy Core Robot and destroy each stage from Chapter 1 to the Bonus Chapter without closing the browser, changing the screen to anything BUT "home," or pressing the "pause" button.

TheDoc Challenges:
1337 H4x0rz - Find a way to use a "Mode" ability without suffering from a decrease in stats.

Yeah. It's been about a year since I did the first survey. I tried to do a sequel, but an internet-less vacation kind of messed up the system (along with my ability to procrastinate). Anyway, while I could go ahead and announce the results, a problem appears in the fact that if I did so, it would look VERY weird. I mean, there would be about 10/20/100/@_@ people who would be going "what in the world is THIS?!" So, I'll be forced to reset the survey just so that way it looks... fair? However, I decided to do something different. Instead of just me talking, I'll have some other people talk as well! Yes, these people will be known as "judges!" Who are they? They're up for the grabs! Yes, YOU on the other side of the screen. YOU can become a "judge!" Here are some "privileges" for being a "judge!":

- Only judges will be able to vote for tiebreakers.
- You'll commentate along with me on the results! Make it feel more... fresh.
- You'll receive the results and pool them together with other judges.
- In case I can't create the "results" thread, you might be able to do so for me! Fail safes are always a good Plan B.
- Maybe some more!

How to become one? You'll need to fill out a form to become a judge. You'll see what you need to fill out once you see the form. Filling out a form does not guarantee you becoming a judge. Note that there are THREE people who will become judges, THREE TO FIVE people who are substitutes, and A TON of people who will not become either. The earlier you fill this out, the better chance you have. You can fill out a form right here

Anyway, I'm going to put a much stricter schedule. This is to prevent procrastination from happening.
mega-man_shadow1/5-1/18 - Chance to become a judgemega-man_shadow
quick-man1/19-2/8 - Voting!quick-man
magnet-man2/9-2/13 - Checking Tiebreakersmagnet-man
skull-man2/14 (5:00pm) - "chat" on victorsskull-man
bass2/15 - Results posted!bass
gemini-man2/16-2/22 - In case I don't post, hopefully, one of the judges posts up the results!gemini-man

As for the rules...
- Post your votes in a PM to one of the judges OR me (NOT YET!)
- Only post your votes ONCE! If you send votes again, only the first one will count.
- You can vote for 3 choices in each category
- Listen to the sub-rules in each category (if there is one)
- You CAN explain each of your votes
- There will be 10 categories, see the threads listed at the top to see the categories (though I'll list them when the time comes to vote!) (Thanks to ThatGuyNamedMikey for the idea!)
- Some categories have their own "sub-rules." Listen to them!

Anyway, if you have some comments about this event, be sure to leave a message in the comment section below. And remember that the early bird might get the judge "promotion!"

That should be all!

I noticed that there are quite a lot of threads (not only in Strategies but other places) that are quick, one or two sentences, strategies for leveling up, certain levels, and other stuff. Thus, I figured that we could put those simple strategies that only take a sentence or two and place them here! Place leveling up tricks, certain levels, or other misc. stuff that you just want to place in a comment. I'm not saying to place a massive walk-through or a detailed way to beat certain bosses. Just quick tips. Have fun!

This is very similar to The Megaman Art Studio. However, send all stuff NON-Megaman related. Stuff like Mario, Pokemon, Sonic, etc. If you don't know how to send in your drawing and make your own studios, then read the link above (the "sister" thread). Not much to say here, except that I have my own drawing!

Now send.

A forum game, don't see those everyday. Anyway, for those of you interested in the game and what's it about, here is a brief description:

Photographer War is a small game where every week, i'll give the description of a location on the game OR the website, all you have to do is get a screenshot of the location. If you're the first one to get the right photo, then you get a "Photo Point" for bragging rights. A leaderboard is kept below to see the top ten players, while I keep a personal, more advanced leaderboard for myself, if you want to see your place on the board, just PM me.

Don't know how to upload photos, or take screenshots? Here are the instructions for how to make screenshots and upload them to this website:

1. To make a screenshot, press that small button on the keyboard called "Print Screen." Easy as that.
2. You can't directly upload photos to this website, so use any image uploading site (I use Imgur and upload your photo there.
3. Hopefully, if you click on your uploaded photo, you should see a list of weird codes, one of which is called "Direct Link (email and IM)." Copy that URL.
4. Use the [image] formatting technique and paste the URL in the parentheses right after the [image].
5. Hope you got it right!
Combo Bonus
If you can manage 3 points in a row, then you will get a combo bonus, which will add an extra point for every time you get a point (combo 3 = 2 extra points while combo 4 = 2 extra points still). Try and get the point first for extra points!

Hello newcomers! I bet your wondering what this wonderful community is about, but don't worry, I'll fill you in on most things you need to know about the community!
proto-man_electricRetro Pikachu's Guide to the Community!shadow-man
version 1.012

Three things first, one, you'll need 5,000 battle points to comment (or post) and 10,000 battle points to create a thread. You can get that much in about 5 minutes, so don't panic. Two, if you want details on how to use horrible some fancy text techniques, then click here to read an article on how to use these amazing formatting techniques! Three, introduce yourself on this thread.

quick-mantop-manrollRulescrash-manmega-manbass

I'm not a staff member, but here are some obvious rules to follow in the community.
ice-man- Don't spam*
gemini-man- Don't double post, if you want to add something, click "edit" on your comment. However, if you think that you absolutely NEED to double post if you're saying something completely different, than go ahead.
punk- Don't be a jerk/flame
shadow-man- If you're gone for a bit and returned, DO NOT MAKE A THREAD ON SAYING "Hi everyone! I'm back!"!!!!!!!! You can say that in this thread or this thread
yamato-man- While not a rule, using proper grammer (with spelling and capitalization) would be appreciated
napalm-man- Don't cuss. If you do feel you have to (which you never should), please censor it with your #@* keys. (Please refrain from doing it though, this is a family friendly website, let's keep it that way!)
dark-man-1- DON'T SPEAK IN ALL CAPS! IT USUALLY MEANS THAT YOU ARE YELLING! AND YOU SHOULDN'T NEED TO YELL AT ANY POINT!

While you probably won't be banned for breaking one of these rules, you WILL be warned, if you're warned, listen to what the moderator/admin has to say. *Unless you're spamming, in which case, you're banned.

flame-manDirectory
As you can see, the community is divided into 7 categories:

Personal, News, General, Roleplay, Strategies, Mechanics, Development, and Bugs

mega-man- The Personal section includes your personal messages, sent and received. Don't pester a user and don't attack them either! Nobody would appreciate that!(more information on that later).

bass- The News section includes news by the developer, Adrian Marceau, and moderators MegaBossMan, Rhythm_BCA, CHAOS_FANTAZY, and Acting Mod Reisrat. You can also see threads here on how various contributors make their work. This is where you need to go if you want to catch up on events.

proto-man- The General section includes everything else, just user created threads for fun and enjoyment. Yes, you can put threads in this section, all by yourself. This section is for anything not relating to the other threads, and mostly everything here is for fun. Don't spam threads for silly purposes or no purpose, don't ask everyone what they're doing, don't announce your return here unless it's in Official Player Introductions or Goodbye/I'm back and don't be a jerk period. Also, don't make a thread on how do you do something in-game because the section below the one below is for that.

bomb-man- Play as your favorite robot masters (and maybe yourself) in the Roleplay section! Create your own threads for roleplay use or join one other's. Also, the "No Double Post Rule" is diluted, but it still is a thing.

slur- If you need a bit of help beating the game, or want to give advice to random users, check out the Strategies section of the community. This is where you go if you need help with the game.

concrete-man- The Mechanics section includes updates on mechanics of the game, though not many updates are made here. This is where you go if you don't understand a certain mechanic. If it's a mechanic, it's probably there (in the "locked threads" section on the bottom).

knight-man- The Development section has the developer giving us information on upcoming updates is used for user ideas for the game. Suggest your ideas here and who knows? Perhaps your idea could be in-game.

fire-man- Finally, the Bugs section includes bug reports. Please keep your general posts out of this one, no need to give Adrian false alarms. If you see something weird that shouldn't be there, put your reports here. Pictures and detailed explanations are very welcome here. Small bug reports should be posted here

shadow-manWhile it's not Technically a section of the community, the chat section has you on a live chat with other players. Meetings are held there every Sunday night (more details here

I did say I would go into more detail about how Personal Messaging would work, so here it is!
proto-manHow to Send a Personal Message/Making a Threadmega-man

First, let's go to the leaderboard and click on one of the profiles:

or click on a person's profile in the community:

Then, click on "message" on their profile:

While I'm pretty sure you can figure out how to make a message, I'll provide instructions just in case

Hit send and you'll be in a private discussion between you and the sender! Make sure you aren't pestering the user and don't attack them either.

elec-manMaking a thread is done in a similar matter, but you don't need find a player to do it.

*Remember the rules above on what threads you can make in the section you want to create a thread in.
By the way, DO NOT create threads for the following below:
- Suggestions (put them here for game-related stuff and here for website-related stuff)
- HELP ME! stuff (put them here or here
