I've been too wishy washy in my handling of the community challenge, and things went more smoothly when we had a voting system... so lets have a vote! We are deciding what the themeing of Dust Man's challenge should be, either the plotline of the 9 bots nearly being junked, are a theme of cleaning robots. If you'd like to have a visual aid, come check out the Discord. Attached to a post there will be some screenshots to show both. Keep in mind the fields/robots/stats/items are not final, just ideas for what we're working with. You are welcome to vote here or there which you would prefer!

Hey, maybe next time! For now, we've got Dust Man, and I would like to share with you some thoughts the discord had on how to theme his challenge.
Idea 1: Have Dust be the leader to a pack of the Robot Masters from 9, who were nearly scrapped.
Idea 2: Have Dust pair with Crystal, as they were made by the same artist.
Idea 3: Have Dust be joined by other junkyard/cleaning robots.
None of these are set in stone, and if you feel you have a good idea for the Dust Man challenge, feel free to share!

Well, in a very tight vote, Dust Man won with 6 votes, Skull Man right behind him with 5. It was pretty close! Now its time to discuss strategy. To give you a little bit of insight into what the Discord has been suggesting, they think it would be neat to have Dust Man and a bunch of the other robots from Mega Man 9, as if he was the one who found them after their expiration date.

... so no one has actually voted since I put my last vote out, so that makes things easier for me! MM1 received 1 vote, MM2 received 1 vote, MM3 received 4 votes, and MM4 won with 8 votes. Thank you to everyone who voted! We will now vote on which Robot Master from MM4 to feature. You are more than welcome to vote in this one, even if you did not vote in the last one. This vote will also go for 2 days, so voting will end on 6/5 at 11:00am EST.

Also, I am going to let people keep voting on the game until tomorrow, Friday June 3rd at 11AM EST; a full 48 hours from when the vote went up. We will probably have a 2 day vote for the RM, and then we will have a lot of discussion on strategy/theming. On the discord, there has been 1 vote for 2, 2 votes for 3, and 6 votes for 4, bringing us to 1 vote for 1, 1 vote for 2, 4 votes for 3, and 8 votes for 4 so far across both websites.

Probably not anytime soon. In fact, we're still working on the latest Mega Man 11 robots, and there's now a greater focus on making existing robots playable. Forgive me if this is confusing, I don't know Portuguese and had to use Google Translate.

It's nice to see you care about the parts of the community not even directly tied to gameplay. Hope things calm down for you soon!

That's right Ja- I mean HighTower. Blizzard Man DID get a new skill! I hope you lot of hosers are ready to hit the slopes!

Blizzard Man's Expert Skier

It's finally Blizzard Man's time to shine! He doesn't even the arctic tundra to show off his master skiing skills. If the Freeze multiplier is at all above 1.0, Blizzard Man's speed will raise by one stage between turns! Even a light frost is enough to get this robot rolling!

If you're looking for an excuse to see this in action, might I suggest trying out the new Challenge Mode mission?

In Slip Sliding Away, Blizzard Man and his goons are ready to dominate the slopes! You're gonna have to be surefooted to give Blizzard Man a run for his money, else risk slipping up!

Now, that's not all we've got in the update! It's almost always the robot masters who get their spritesheets updated in these updates. Now, it's the mechas' time to shine! The mechas Flea, Tackle Fire, and Pierrobot are rocking beautiful new looks!

New Mecha Sprites

Be sure to try using Mecha Support to see these beauts in action! Many thanks to MegaBossMan, Brash Buster, and NintendoPanda101 for their continuous efforts to make the Prototype look great!
tackle-fire    pierrobot    flea

On a final note, the bio rewrite project has made it's way to King's Militia, so if you have fifteen minutes to kill, give Dynamo Man's and Cold Man's bios a read!
dynamo-man    cold-man

That's all we've got for this update post! We're now 1/6 of the way through 2021, and 7/60 through the 2020s as a decade! I hope you all are staying safe, healthy, and warm, unless you're somewhere hot, in which case I hope you are staying, safe, healthy, and cool!

Over and out,
Tobyjoey blizzard-man

Sheep Man's eyes darted around the kitchen watching the Teck ricochet off the walls. He would have found it funny if it hadn't nauseated him. He wondered if the knife wielding robot was at all dazed.

I, uh, didn't mean to steal your thunder there. Seems you had it under control -urp. At least we got some zenny out of it.

Sheep Man's own mention of zenny refocused the dazed robot, reminding him of the comically outfitted metool. Sheep Man briefly considered keeping this information to himself, but ultimately decided against it. Sheep Man was interested in Dr. Marceau being found, not in taking the glory for himself.

So, fellow dinner guest that I don't know the name of, before coming over here I had met a metool in one of the side rooms. I didn't quite hear what he was saying while I was rushing to the kitchen, but I think he did offer to sell a copy arm abilitity. Maybe someone should circle back to buy that.

sheep-man ... and yet I feel oddly compelled to know what is in that freezer. If the met was fine with waiting for me to do this, he could probably wait a little longer, right? You're welcome to go talk to him yourself, but first, I gotta know what's in there.

Looks like we're starting off the new year with some more updates! Two new skills have been added to the game, doing very similar things for very different robots!

crash-man          astro-man

The hotheaded Crash Man now has the skill Extremeist, which exaggerates any stat boost, positive or negative, made to Crash Man to their most extreme effect. Astro Man, as easy to overwhelm as ever, now has the skill Oversensitive, which also exaggerates any stat boost made to Astro Man to their most extreme effect.

Well, that's all for now. I never said it was a big update! We'll be moving onto Cooking with Cossack in just a few minutes. This has been the 12:43 Prototype News. Goodnight and Goodluck.

Sincerely,
Tobyjoey bright-man

Sheep Man waits for Rhys to slash the Teku before again firing his Sprout Attack at the grounded Teku, trying not to hit Rhys with the rapidly growing foliage.

Sheep Man was astonished the most useful information he got came from the Mettaur, and felt a little bad he mocked the only robot that seemed willing to help him. Only a little though.

sheep-man Uh, thanks. Galva Man is on the fourth floor, huh? Well, I already tried strong-arming the the electric gate, to little success. There's a big gaping hole in the ceiling, but I don't think I can reach it. Gah, why did they have to take my Thunder Wool!

In exchange for avoiding termination, Sheep Man had to relinquish all weapons he had developed during the Roboenza outbreak. He was still able to generate small amounts of static electricity, but his days of splitting into thunderous wool clouds were long gone. Sheep Man realized he would need some other way to access the fourth floor, likely by finding a way to break that electric barrier. Sheep Man eyed the copy arm the Mettaur sported with three slots filled, wondering if they could make a barter, when the unmistakable sound of metal clashing against metal echoed from the Dining Room. Wow, that pink robot wasn't lying, these walls do seem to insulate sound pretty well.

Sorry to leave so soon, but I think I better go. I'll be back though, because I'm interested in those copy arm skills you've got. If you have are willing to part with some of them, think of a price, because I've got zenny to pay for it!

Sheep Man thought he was a decently charismatic robot, but considering his belittling jokes and his sudden departure, he wasn't expecting too good of a deal, if he got one at all.

Upon re-entering the dining room, Sheep Man could see a Teck attached to the ceiling attacking one of the dinner guests. After thinking for a moment, Sheep Man aimed his Copy Arm towards the ceiling the robot was anchored too and tried to use the Sprout Attack. The ceiling seemed pretty modly, so maybe he could cause some fungus to pop out and upset the Teck's footing.

I believe it only swaps attack stat boosts/debuffs, not the base stat itself. So maybe use it on a robot with Astro Crush?

Sheep Man was a bit taken aback by the casual scene he stumbled upon. He was happy he wasn't being electrocuted, sure, but the fact these robots had given no reaction to fiasco that just happened seemed odd. Still, they seemed friendly enough, so Sheep Man approached them, surveying the quaint room as he stepped closer.

sheep-man I'm sorry to interrupt, but I assume you are associated with Dr. Marceau, yes? Did you happen to hear the sounds of a ceiling being demolished or a doctor being kidnapped or an electric gate frying a poor, innocent, handsome robot or a door nearly being knock-

Sheep Man lost his train of thought upon discovering the Mettaur with a Copy Arm affixed to his helmet.

...

-pft-

BWA-HA-HA-HA! Oh, that's just what I needed! You look like a Tralfamadorian mixed with a toilet plunger! "So it goes," my little Mettaur friend, so-it-goes.

Almost immediately upon losing it did the thought occur to Sheep Man that maybe he ought not to be aggrevating a robot with a copy arm and seemingly three copy arm abilities.

Ahem.

sheep-man Er, assuming you do know him, do you know where someone might be hiding a kidnapped doctor in this mansion?
