*ATTENTION, ALL ACTORS* In order to join this forum and get the most out of the forum, it is highly advised you create a character by checking out the rulebook. Another thing I need to state is that this project is intended to be community driven, so any enemies, skills, weapons, equipment, or just about anything you want to create will most likely be added to the project, with credit given if desired. Also, any new data added to one of the databanks will have a |NEW!| next to it.
Commands: If you wish to view the battle map, type BMAP at the end of your post or simply ask. If you wish to know where all active playable characters are at, type LIST at the end of your post or simply ask.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Finally, Legacy's purpose is the idea that anyone can be a Director and add pieces to the story. With that said, certain things may be barred, such as having characters from existing media(Mega Man's excluded from this, but even still there are things barred(see rulebook)) or things like spirits and magic. While these could have in-universe explanations, the genre of Legacy is, in a nutshell, Sci-Fi. There's nothing wrong with making a character that could fit in a fantasy setting, but it has to work some way or another. An example is deities. If you wish to introduce them, make them cosmic forces or a rare species or whatever you wish, just please not actual gods. Please understand that despite all that I don't wish to impede creation.

Somewhere in an abandoned lab... I found something... I swear if it's another flower... Really? Where? After a mental facepalm, Freeze Man /L/ walks over to Hornet Man to see... a junk pile. What? It's just junk! Not that. Look what I picked up! As raindrops start to go drip from the ceiling, Hornet Man /L/ shows FM/L/ a strange remote. Hey! This should fetch a good price, no? Hmm...you know, this button looks like a honeycomb. Seriously look! As Hornet Man /L/ points to a button, the hexagonal button suddenly lights up. It...lit up? Freeze Man /L/ suddenly smacks the remote out of his hand. Hey! Ow... What did you do that for? I may of just saved your life bud. It looks like a bomb, no? The duo of machines looks down on the remote and realize that it managed to land on all of the buttons. The sound of thunder can't hide the sound of moving gears and screeching metal behind them. Get down! As Freeze Man tackles Hornet Man to the ground, a large black tower rises from a nearby pile of junk. It begins to flash a number of colors before becoming an glowing ominous red. Hey, I know you're looking for cool and pretty metallic flowers and all, but let's just grab our stuff and go. Now. Why? Hmm...That's a good question. How about the fact that a potential death trap just rose out of the ground, huh!? Now come on! The two robots rush out of the lab with a red wagon full of collected junk. All the while, the tower continues to rise and pierces the ceiling. In the distance, three more towers can be seen. As the lighting cracks the sky, the tower in the lab starts to open at the top, revealing an large metal rod. Suddenly, a bolt strikes the tower, causing a flash of lights to come from the lab as it comes back online. All the while, the tower starts to shoot a red light to the other towers, forming a perfect square. To the two robots, it looked like an aurora borealis in the sky amidst the thunderstorm as the area in between the towers starts to glow. In no time at all, a portal is formed from the center.
Suddenly, without warning, an Ultra Wormhole appears and spits out... something. I don't know of it'd be okay to include Aeon in this story, or any of his counterparts, though, so imma just say this this is a multiverse different from the Absurd Roleplay. One where Aeon doesn't have stands. One where the other Aeons (probably) arent a thing.
The point is, Aeon(?) pops out of an Ultra Wormhole.
Raindrops fall from out of the sky, with some entering the Ultra Wormhole.
@RotomSlashBlast Anyone can include anyone, regardless of where they come from. In terms of it universes, it is supposed to be a different reality than the Absurd Roleplay.

@GammaGhost : Oh okay.
Anyway, Aeon pops out! He equips his Super Shotgun and tries to get a better look at whatever is causing the raindrops.
(Aeon) Alright, I found the first five Crucible Hearts, which totally aren't based on the Crucible from the 2016 reboot of Doom or the Jamba Hearts from Kirby Stat Allies. Just need to find the other unspecified amount.
By the way, I AM planning on making a slightly updated design for THIS version of Aeon.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, a robot stands on a tall building, feeling the rain on his metal "skin". His artificial, golden hair flowing in the light winds of this seemingly pleasant rain, along with a possibly familiar blue scarf. A purple helmet with a pink sort of stripe decal on it sits by his side as he looks over the city. The robot wears a purple vest, seemingly similar to another being. Standing in the rain, the robot begins to monologue, seemingly to himself... Well... to the normal robot, it would appear he is monologuing to himself.
...Ha. It's funny... No matter how far away from home I get, the memories of what happened still linger... Facing off against a villainous ghost, when suddenly, the entire universe comes to a complete halt... And yet, somehow, despite it having consumed practically everything else, the Void has chosen us... To be the ones that remain, wandering lost in the multiverse forever... ...Over time, as I become more incapable of finding a place for us to belong, I begin to learn... Secrets. Of this very multiverse. Ones that I was never meant to know... And yet, unlike what would happen with most people, I am somehow still sane regardless. ...Even still... It changes not the fact that I am too late... I am now devoid of the ability to truly link myself to a new universe... And that's when it happened. The end of another world... And now, thanks to the actions of a collection of universes wiped from the memories of the other people of this multiverse... Another version of myself and his friends are stuck wandering the multiverse, looking for a world to link their existences with. ...But I have hope for them. Much like I have hopes for myself... I may not be able to link my existence to a new world, but I can still find a future for myself. Nothing will change the fact that I was, and always will be, the first.
The figure puts the helmet on, readying himself for whatever may come next.
...I am Beta Man Z... the Original Beta Man. Yeah, yeah, that's great. Could we PLEASE stop boring people with the monologuing?
A figure stands behind Beta Man Z. The figure's armor design bears resemblance to Zero from MMZ, but-
Stop. Just... Just stop. I do not wish to listen to your pathetic attempts at being dramatic. I am Ninja Man Z. That is all they need to know. Oh, come on, Ninja! Don't you think that it would be fun to be a little dramatic? ..........No. Why are we even here, anyways? Did you just let the Void drift you off somewhere again!? I ensure you, my shinobi rivriend- Just "rival". Never use the word "rivriend" ever again. ...My bringing us here is completely intentional. I think we might just find a purpose here, I just feel it...! Suuuuure we will. Like that Roboenze infection? We certainly helped a LOT with that. No, I really mean it. I have a good feeling about this one, just trust me. ...Fine. But we won't find any action just standing around on a rooftop. Let's go into town and see what we can find.
The two warps off the rooftop and into the town below it.
... *Sigh*...
*Deactivates Narration Mode* Am I REALLY going to partake in another "Absurd Roleplay"? Let's just hope this one is more controlled and dignified...

Oh okay, it's just raining really hard. Thought there was some giant entity causing it to rain. ...Still not gonna risk dirtying my P I R A T E B L A C K Y E E Z Y S , though! Maybe that giant, ominous black tower's got good roofing!
Aeon dashes over to said giant, omnious black tower.

When Aeon arrived at the tower, he came across a abandoned laboratory. Well... it looked that way a few minutes ago, for now it appears as if a party's being thrown in there. Yellow lights and what sounds like speech is coming from inside. The rain picks up more and lighting strikes the tower again. No visible effect can be seen.
The city that Beta Man Z and company gaze upon seems like something straight out of a 80s movie about the future. Neon lights are attached to what seem like every building and even through the rain they can be made out. Perhaps because of the rain and it being night, there doesn't appear to be anyone around.
Lighting strikes near the MMKs, but thankfully it misses. However, the lighting lights up the sky for a moment to reveal a group of looming figures in the distance, heading in the same direction as them.
@Beta Shadow : That's the plan. While the last thing I want to do is to play God and control players(which I won't), I also want people to have fun.
...Hm... The town seems to be rather empty, doesn't it? Maybe it's a sign... A sign of what? That we're doomed to wander aimlessly across the multiverse for all of eternity? What? No! Nothing like that! It's a sign that we should probably take a break for a while. You know, we spent so long trying to find a new universe to call home, being lost in time and space, trying to find our world's Sergeant Man, and worrying about the versions of ourselves who are currently just about on the same boat, we haven't exactly found the time to relax and take it easy for a while! So? Tell me ONE good reason we should just goof off in a world we know nothing about! Alright then, how's THIS for a good reason: If you don't focus so much on our current situation, you'll be less likely to go mad from it. ...Fine. Let's start by finding a place to rest for the night.
The two proceed to search for somewhere in the city to rest.
NOW HOLD ON THERE! WHAT DO YOU- ...Oh, er, excuse us for a moment.
Ninja Z pulls Beta Z aside to speak with him in private.
(What do you even think you're DOING!? As far as he would be aware, our passports could come off as fake! ...Do we even HAVE those anymore? Or in the first place!?) [ (Well, of course! That's why I had us be made Passports that match THIS world's!) (Isn't that right, Reaper?)
...
(... *Ahem* I said, isn't that right, Rea-)
No. That is completely incorrect.
(Oh, come on, Reaper! Just do us this one favor! Please?)
...Alright, fine. But first, I want you to do something for ME.
(Huh? Well, ok. What is it?
...Say my name.
(...Just that? It's Beta Reaper, of course! ...Right?)
No. Try again.
(...I... I don't think I really understa-)
Yes, you do. You KNOW I don't go by "Reaper" anymore. That was just a Halloween name that I used because my regular display name at the time was the same as your OWN name, and I didn't want to change it to cause confusion for you guys, since, of course, you weren't able to break the 4th Wall at the time!
You should KNOW this. You should KNOW my main display name has changed. I am TIRED of you "remnants of the past" disrespecting MY name change to still call me by that unfitting name! Heck, I don't even want to use the term "Reaper" anymore, because we are MORE THAN JUST WORLD DESTROYERS!
(...Something tells me this is because of more than just the name change.)
MY NAME. SAY IT.
(...Full Release Man?) SHADOW! MY NAME IS BETA SHADOW! S! H! A! D! O! W! And until ALL you remnants learn to RESPECT that, I will be giving you NOTHING! And considering that involves the past two versions of Rotom, which I don't even know WHERE one of them is, and the other is practically just GONE, and either way BOTH of them are jerks who most likely don't care? Good luck EVER convincing me to help you out of ANY situation you run into during this experience.
(...Well, then. That guy certainly has issues.) [ (Well, there goes THAT plan. Guess we're going to have to find our resting place OUTSIDE of city limits...)
Sorry, officer, but we seem to have misplaced our passports somewhere... We're gonna go head back to where we were and see if we could find them... Oh, and uh, no need to help us or anything... I'm sure we'll be able to find them on our own. Uh, BUT! If for... Whatever reason, we don't exactly return here later, it's because we, uh... Decided to take our business elsewhere. FAR elsewhere... Like, away from any city elsewhere.
The two warps off to whatever place they could find outside of the city, hoping that the police bot doesn't become too suspicious of their actions.
The police bot stares in wonder of how a machine could disappear in a beacon of light. ... As the duo warps away, a snapshot can be heard. *CLICK* ... The door swings wide open, revealing a lit room filled with junk. A cracked computer can be seen just ahead of the rubble. There appears to be a turret aimed right at your head, but its damage from rust suggest that it's too broken to actually function.
